1 and 2 player maps are up to date, this time with the deck code included.
I have no idea why this one deck is showing outside of the spoiler, for some reason I cant delete it.

    major update, version 0.2.3:
    - added new community decks feature and related things like discord login authentication and deck database to keep track of the added decks
    - other adjustments and fixes that would probably be to many to write here

    Community Decks ( https://smj.cards/community/decks )
    - choose between pve and pvp decks
    - filter pve decks by orb order, achievement, map, difficulty, position and if they are recommended for speedruns, (semi-)solo play or the current map of the month for rpve
    - filter pvp decks by orb order and map
    - view details about decks, like prices, deck codes, and for which achievements they count towards
    - view related forum post if one was provided by the deck creator
    - copy the deck code directly from the deck table
    - view which orb order the decks are intended to be played with
    - vote for your favorite decks to make it easier for other players to find the most amazing of decks (discord login authentication needed)
    - view deck tags to see if the deck can be played on different maps/difficulties/positions or whether or not it is played with an orb switch and more
    - sort by highest/lowest voted and newest/oldest

    Add Community Decks ( https://smj.cards/community/decks/add )
    - select the cards of the deck directly or import an in game code (cards are automatically sorted by tier->type->color->SMJ ID to make it easier to compare them in the table overview)
    - choose the orb order with which the deck is played and whether or not an orb switch is necessary
    - add the deck as either a pve or pvp deck with different map selection options
    - for pvp decks choose if it is best played on specific pvp maps or any, 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2
    - for pve decks choose all the maps the decks is good/optimal for and select the highest suggested difficulty, which positions and whether or not it is also good for speedruns, solo play and or the current map of the month for rpve maps
    - add a forum link to a forum post or comment to provide more info on how best to use or the idea behind the deck which is also relevant if you want to be able to explain which community maps specifically you suggest the deck be used for
    - check if the deck can be used to complete specific achievements that require a specific deck composition (no selection needed since the filtering on the overview page takes care of that and automatically filters the valid decks)
    - add your personal favorite decks to the database (discord login authentication needed)
    - there is currently no feature to update already added decks yet, but it may be added next/at some point

    Discord Login Authentication
Logging in with your discord account is only used for identification to be able to create new community decks and vote on them. Only your publicly available Discord User ID is attached to the decks you created and voted on and no other user data is being stored for now. There may be features down the line that would allow you to store your user specific data like the locally stored favorite cards/lists/decks and personal prices in a database to make porting it over to a new device or syncronizing data between devices easier. As well as connecting the website user with the bot settings to update your bot price notifications from your browser, but these things remain open for now, and may or may not be added at some point.

    Enjoy. 😉

Lyrish Knight has excellent stat efficiency as is. In fact there was a short time in mid 2021 where slightly increased dmg was tested but deemed to oppressive, as Lyrish would have become an all around counter.
It does see pvp play though in
    - Stonekin (where it synergizes well with decks built around ice barrier, homesoil, burrower)
    - Lost Souls (synergies with Nasty Surprise and Shadow Phoenix)
    - Fire/Frost (Rallying Banner + Homesoil)
Its not a mainstay card but far from beeing useless.

    Hello People of the Sky,
Is Skylords Reborn a Real-time Strategy Game or is it an Investment Simulator?
    Let´s find out!

Update: Winners, Replays and Stream can be found in this post:

    Only 3 Rules:
    •         Play the Map: Treasure Fleet on Standard Difficulty
    •         Finish the map with a victory without losing any gold wagons
    •         Build all 20 Power Wells and all 4 Monuments on the map as fast as possible

    Ranking
The time determining your rank stops when you start the construction of the last Power Well/Monument. Note: “Build” does not mean it has to be kept alive, see FAQ at the end of the post.
The key is to invest as much as possible into your economy while keeping the gold wagons safe.

I forget to check the time when I built my last well/orb, do I have to rewatch the replay?
No, because the funny BOT-Website returns for the third time!
    --> www.t1421.de
You can upload your replay and the website will tell you:
         1. What time will be used for the ranking
         2. If and where you missed a Power Well/Monument
         3. What Power Well/Monument was built at which time and where
Of course, the website is optional! You can join without using it to check your replay.
You don’t enter the event by uploading, you have to send me your replay via the Forum or Discord!

Is it possible to see how my run is performing?
For the final 3 Days of the event the “RANK” tab on the website will be activated.
Here you will find the best run of each player, the list is anonymous but you will receive your pseudonym after uploading a replay.

    In conclusion:
    Map:                   Treasure Fleet
    Difficulty:            Standard
Goal:                   Don’t lose any gold wagon and build all wells and orbs as fast as possible
    Until when:         29.01.2023 23:59 CET
Winner Stream:  17.02.2023 19:00 CET via my Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/ultralord_t1421)
Replays:              PM in the Forum @T1421 or DM via Discord Ultralord#9706
    Replay name:      BOT3_[Your Username].pmv
You can send in multiple replays, the last one which I receive will be used for the event.
Replays can be found in your Documents folder (C:\Users\xxx\Documents\BattleForge\replays\)

    And what can I win?
1st place:            5 General Boosters         + Promo Construct

The slowest player will receive 4 Juicy Juice Tanks

    😞 multiple known issues
Squad position and Unit position, are not always the same, for squad with only one unit.
Attacks with small splash targeted at squad might miss all of its units (either the bug above, or 6 units knocked back from the center by some other attack, so they are all outside of the slash radius)
Freezing is squad during movement is one way to trigger the first bug... usually the difference is small enough for the splash to still hit, but under some circumstances it is not.
Swamp drake is common occurrence in reports of no damage, because it have extra small splash radius.

Love it! My favourite is the equestrian nerf - made me kill my own perfectly fine units for years when they were attacked and i had no disenchant.

It's only 15%, war eagles will destroy them... vs the other frost splashes they might do slightly better than scythes i guess.

Edit: I change my mind, the ,,search in marketplace'' is new best friend now!

    Greetings Skylords!
A new month; a new Community Update! It's time to bring you up to speed with everything going on in Skylords Reborn!

    • Survey Results

Once more, a big thank you to everyone who provided feedback in our 2022 Survey. 2.227 of you provided feedback regarding various topics, from general opinions regarding the project, to balance and upcoming features. We have collected the answers and provided them in a short presentation.

    • Upcoming Patch

Last month we promised more information about our upcoming new content patch. We are almost ready to bring you a new patch that will include a ton of balance changes, map changes, bug fixes and new cards! While we sadly can't give you a concrete date on the patch yet, we are aiming for a release around mid-September. We are also planning to release some additional achievements in a small follow-up patch soon after.
As for the upcoming content patch; we have added new Transformation effects to T2 and T3 Twilight cards, aimed at making Twilight's Transformation ability worth using. We have also made substantial changes to Fire T4 cards, while continuing our work on Nature. At the same time, we are making some much-needed changes for the health and future of the game. This patch will implement changes to Batariel, Decomposer, Frenetic Assault and mindcontrol-effects like Nightguard and Parasite Swarm. These cards have been the topic of many heated discussions over the years, which is why we would like to take some time to explain why we are making these changes.

    • Why Nerf Cards?

It has been the conscious choice of the Skylords Reborn Team since we began balancing the game nearly 2 years ago to avoid any PvE specific nerfs. The reasoning was twofold:
    (1) Nerfs feel bad and continued nerfs of popular cards can be demoralizing to players, and
    (2) There did not exist a sufficient number of strategies such that nerfing top performers would actually lead to more diverse gameplay. The top performing strategies were sometimes the only viable strategies in the game, and removing them would have just lead to an ever decreasing set of viable archetypes.
Instead of nerfing cards, we in the faction design and balancing team have endeavored to create an increasingly large set of viable strategies, both between and within factions. Within factions, Bandits has been our greatest success, with several top tier Bandit deck archetypes being viable across all maps and game modes. Across factions, we have also steadily been succeeding in our original goal. Pure Frost and Pure Fire do not have as much intra-faction deck diversity as something like Bandits, but both do have viable archetypes capable of succeeding at all levels of play. Slowly, but steadily, we have also been working towards this same goal with Pure Nature, Pure Shadow, and their non-pure derivatives such as Shadow's Death Ray archetype. In the next few patch cycles we are hoping to touch the Stonekin, Lost Souls, and Twilight factions as well, simultaneously adding new unique strategies while also fleshing out their existing viable archetypes. All in all, we think we have come a very long way in creating both fun and viable strategies for the majority of factions, and we will labor every patch to continue this work.
Unfortunately, despite the work that has been done, there is still a perception among much of the playerbase that decks like Pure Frost are not strong, despite Pure Frost being viable against all factions even in RPvE 10. This is because, with the exception of the addition of Banzai Lord and Plague, the top decks have remained nearly identical from release until now. This is unsurprising. In T4, Batariel-Enlightenment and Bloodhorn decks are so strong that if we attempted to make all archetypes compete with them, we would thereby trivialize the game through power creep. In T1, we have made substantial changes to ensure that every faction has a viable opening for all maps and game modes, but by and large a majority of players still progress through the campaign using Nightguard in at least a plurality if not a majority of maps. This situation of having a large set of viable playstyles but a few select ones that outshine all others, creates the impression that Skylords Reborn lacks gameplay diversity and leads to players defaulting to the same few decks over and over again. This is not a recipe for long term success. Even after the most recent patch, you can still see messages in global chat to the effect of "I wish there were other strategies than Batariel or Nightguard." There are many more strategies, it is just that some strategies are so strong that everything else seems paltry in comparison.
Given the current state of the game, we as a balancing team have determined that it is finally time to nerf some of the game's top performers and that by doing so we will actually be expanding the set of strategies players view as viable, thereby hopefully leading to increased in-game deck diversity. Yet, our goal is not to remove the existing top strategies from the game. We want them to remain top strategies, but to be closer to the strength of other archetypes which have proven themselves to be viable alternatives. We are truly convinced this is the best course of action for the long term health of Skylords Reborn. The other options are increasing the strength of all cards to the level of these very few cards, thereby trivializing existing content, or accepting a perpetually stagnate meta where the same few strategies continue to dominate forever.
As a final note, we want to assuage any fears that we will be going through and nerfing any and every strong card in the game. We are convinced that there are less than 10 total cards problematic enough to justify large changes. Balancing is more music than algebra. There is a band of viability within which cards sit. It is okay if some cards are better than other ones, as long as those cards are neither too powerful nor too weak. As long as a strategy is not so dominant across multiple game modes that it warps the game around itself and adversely affects the playerbase's perception of what is acceptably strong, we can and will happily turn a blind eye to it and allow it to continue unchanged.
Our upcoming patch notes will dive into what exactly will be changed about these cards. These will be posted alongside the patch release.

    • New Card Reveal: Tranquility

The results from our feedback survey shows you really like new cards, so we are excited to reveal our new Amii spell: Tranquility!

This card holds the record for longest development cycle, going all the way back to November 2021. Having changed names, effects, art and visuals multiple times during its long process since then. We are very happy with the end result though, and we hope you look forward to playing it.
Please note: We are still testing the card. While we are generally happy about it, numbers and effects might still change before release.
    Let's break down the card:

Tranquility is a tier 2 spell for Nature/Shadow. Upgrading the card increases its effect and reduces its Power Cost. It will be a rare and won't have an affinity. As with the card Transcendence, the effect of this new Amii spell changes depending on if you cast it on an enemy or friendly unit:

    Soothing Whispers
Empowers a friendly unit to fight more joyfully. Target friendly unit will deal 20/30/30/30% more damage and regenerate 50 life points every 2 seconds if the unit deals at least 80 damage every 5 seconds. Lasts 20 seconds. Reusable every 25 seconds.

    Foreboding Whispers
Weakens an enemy unit and makes it unable to fight. Target hostile unit cannot attack or use special abilities and takes 20/20/30/30% more damage for 10 seconds. Reusable every 25 seconds.

Tranquility offers Skylords a flexible early game Amii spell that can be used in both PvE and PvP.
For its buff/debuff visual, we have created a completely new flower model, another milestone in our development for Skylords Reborn!

    • Phone Wallpaper

The artwork for Tranquility was created by Tweeto, and went through many iterations (as tends to happen with our team full of perfectionists). The final artwork goes beyond the size of what we can show on a card, which is why we decided to release the full artwork as a Phone Wallpaper. We hope you like it!

    • Team changes

A lot has happened in the team behind Skylords Reborn in the past month.
Sadly nkmol, who worked with Freund and Maze on the web-interface, has left the team due to personal circumstances. We are grateful for his work and wish him all the best.
Luckily, we also have some good news to share!

Ult has recently joined the team as a client and server developer. He has been working on something exciting we can't wait to show you on in a future community update!
Katchau also joined the team as a client developer. He will be helping out in adding new features into the game that were previously blocked due to a lack of UI developers.
Lebovim (one of our Skylords of Honor) has done a ton for the project already, but always worked alongside the team, not in it. He has now formally joined the team, and will be helping out with implementing map and card changes, among other things.
Maxxxel is also new to the team and working on creating tools and workflows capable of editing and adding new 3D models. We hope we will be able to add new models to the game at some point, but no promises yet.
Lastly, Dallarian will move from a Global Moderator role into the Map Department. Our survey showed loud and clear that you want more campaign maps, so he is currently exploring the map editor to make that happen.
Welcome, and we are grateful for all of you who spend their free time helping out with Skylords Reborn!

    • Contribute to the Project

As always, we hope you will also consider helping out the project. Please take a look at all our open positions on how you can do so.
We have also opened the position of Global Moderator, and are currently in need of more Russian Translators.

    • In Conclusion

And that's it for this Community Update, thanks for reading!
As is tradition, this community update comes with a scratch code.
The code will reward you with a Amii-booster: REAL-SOON-THIS-TIME

The code is valid until October 1st, when we will bring you another Community Update.
As always, we are open to feedback, so please let us know if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments!

  14. Hirooo liked a post in a topic by Donaar in Frost cards tier list (PvE)
    Hey guys,
Frost is my favorite faction and I've played 400+ games in expert cpve maps and in rpve 9 and 10. This is the deck I mainly use for rpve 9 and 10:

Lets jump in the Tier List. As for the Nature Tier List, I tried to order the cards within each tier so that the best ones are on the left side and the worse ones on the right side. For spacing purposes, I also avoided to rank each individual affinity if there's no substantial ranking difference in them. For example: both Northern Keep would be in the same A-Tier, so I only ranked one of them. Conversely, there's a huge difference in Frost Bite's affinities, so you'll see them both.
    Here it is:

A few comments (i am at home a bit bored with nothing to do):
-first things first, I have to clarify my ranking criteria for S-Tier cards. S-Tier cards satisfy one of the two following conditions: 1) are incredibly good in almost any situation and you always want to include them in your deck if it meets their orb requirements (Examples could be Shrine of War, Regrowth and Frenetic Assault). 2) cards that circumvent rules of the game by warping the gameplay (eg. Decomposer and Amii Monument), bypassing orbs and cooldowns (Enlightenment and Offering) or by simply giving the player more power (Breeding Grounds, Resource Booster and Construction Hut).
-Northern Keep is surely one of the best towers in the game, probably only second to Necroblaster. Just build 2 of them and you basically have invincible units.
-While a T1 with Master Archers, Frost Mage, Barrier and Home Soil is more than enough for lower difficulties and rpve 9, Northern Keep and Glyph of Frost are mandatory for even trying rpve 10.
-Avatar of Frost is the best Frost T3 unit - whoever says that Core Dredge is better clearly has not played enough games with Pure Frost 👀. Use Ice Age G with Avatar and you basically have an invincible unit.
-Shrine of Martyrs is a B-Tier card and in my opinion is the worst void return building in the game. It's still a very good card and makes Pure Frost viable in the hardest scenarios, but you still have to use power to gain back power.
-Winter Witch is the best shielding card in the game - it really outshines Coat of Protection. Winter Witch's ability costs way less than Coat and applies more shields - which is a huge thing in situations where Shrine of Martyrs is your only void return option. In those situations you simply don't have enough power to cast Coat + Freezes + any other supporting spell (like Ice Tornado or Ice Age). If you say that Coat > Winter Witch then you must always have played Frost with a Shrine of War support from another player. Coat is only used as a backup shield as it needs Ice Age to be completely viable, WW shield refreshes itself automatically.
-Frost Shard is the best spell Frost has. Super useful in many situations - here are 3 rpve examples 1) vs Twilight it can insta freeze the Willzapper before it paralyses your units 2) vs Lost Souls it shines in freezing the lost dancers before they Disenchant your shields 3) vs Fire it is mostly used to freeze Volcano.
-A few words on the fan-favorite Battleship - the card is good and I used extensively in the past since its ability is very good to take down spawn camps from distance (too bad now Ice Tornado serves the same purpose without binding power). Battleship can still be used as a strong support unit instead of Ironclads: make sure to its ability as often as you can.
-I feel like the problem with Frost cards is that many of those are too situational and serve a very specific purpose. Cards like Ice Age, Wintertide, all building-support spells, Amii Ritual, Wardens Sigil are good and can be very useful, but only on very narrow situations. Same goes for many lf the units listed in the C and D Tier. I really like cards such as Tremor, Defenders, Lightblade, Imperials and Lyrish Knight, but they get outclassed by more flexible units.
-Another problem Frost has is with offensive towers, especially at T2 and T3. Cannon Tower is surely good but can be lackluster in situations where you get attacked by flying units (and teching Gravity Surge is kinda meh for these kinds of scenarios). Stronghold is too weak in this current iteration - even with Skyelfs support (but don't worry, there are plans for buffs). The other offensive towers are just bad.
-Juice Tank is a meme-Tier card - even if some pros (👀) are trying to promote its use. Never ever build this useless thing, unless you just want to meme around lol.

There has been a forum section to discuss balancing changes for the last 6 months. All major upcoming card changes have been announced in the Cards sub-forum since February. All major upcoming Map changes have been announced in Campaign Maps since September 2021. We even added a side bar so you can easily follow which discussions have new posts:

We as a team understand people's worries about balancing changes and have tried repeatedly to respond to concerns, including on several of the issues brought up here relating to balancing and homogenization. Please see the quoted response below for our most recent answer to these concerns from July 15th.
The idea of not touching any of the old cards seems to me misguided. In my estimation, when I first joined the team as a faction designer, I would say the breakdown of card viability in PvE was approximately this:
    Overpowered cards: 5% of total
    Well-balanced cards: 20% of total
Viable but underperforming cards: 25-30% of total
    Meme cards and worse: 45-50%
To not touch any of the old cards would have been, and still largely would be, to consign approximately half the cards in the game to permanent uselessness. We as a team do not think that is the path forward. I realize that not everyone will agree with all our decisions, which is why we also try very hard to be both transparent and open to feedback, both here on the forum and on our balancing discord which can also be accessed via web page. We have also released several design documents to allow players to get more insight into our thinking, which can be found here: Skylords Reborn Documents.
Not only that, but we also try to release changes to the test server to allow hands-on testing and feedback, which is rewarded with a booster when a replay is supplied alongside constructive criticism. While this has not happened as frequently as we have liked recently, the upcoming round of balance changes for next patch will be announced and released on the test server in the next few days.

    In conclusion
First and foremost, I'd like to thank again all those who helped with this event, especially @LEBOVIN for putting so many hours into the map. It has been the biggest CCC so far, and spiraled out of control in terms of size more and more and more. Hopefully I made no mistake in taking entries in, entering times, checking and sorting, sending out prizes... CCC#7 is scheduled in a few days and will be much smaller.

Of course, I'd like to thank the generous sponsors for all the prizes they gave: @TheBigWet, @Metagross31, @Donaar, @Trando, @Sylar, @Kemek, @Prajoss, @Vysnia and the Skylords Reborn Team. This is also the last contest that the immense collection of @Simplifying has sponsored, and I hope he fares well in his life outside the game.

If you have a crappy idea for future CCC's you may share and discuss that with me, maybe I host your idea, or you can host your own Crappy Contest! Feel free to contact me anytime. If you want to discuss or host a non-crappy contest, contact our Event Managers @Minashigo Hiko and/or @Metagross31. They are super supportive and will help you to organize your event!

  20. Hirooo liked a post in a topic by WindHunter in Shrine of Martyrs
The Skylords Reborn team decided very early on that all factions should have access to two core mechanics: sustain and void manipulation. At the same time, we determined to add these mechanics to all factions in a way that is thematically appropriate to each one. I think, by and large, that we have succeeded on this account. In terms of sustain; Fire's Bloodthirst requires units to deal damage; Shadow's Blood Healing requires sacrifice; Frost's Coat of Protection, Winter Witch, and Dreadnought use Ice Shields; and Nature's sustain is primarily non-conditional. This is appropriate to each faction and allows each faction to be viable without feeling like we are thereby destroying the properties that makes that faction unique.
In terms of void return, it is important to understand that an archetype that does not have access to void manipulation will be permanently held back in RPvE and most campaign maps. The compensation required to overcome this handicap in terms of card strength would be so excessively large it would inevitably unbalance the game. So, just as we did with sustain options, we too decided to give each faction a thematically appropriate source of void manipulation. Shrine of War requires fighting, Furnace of Flesh requires corpses, Shrine of Martyrs requires freeze, and Shrine of Memory is non-conditional. Again, this fits each faction. I would even argue that Shrine of Memory is more thematically fitting for Nature after the changes than before them. Before it was very weak and only affected the player. Nature support spells, buildings, and effects always benefit allies, and Shrine of Memory was the one exception to this rule. Nature is also the rule-breaking faction and now Shrine of Memory can break the normal rules of void return. This continues in the line of other Nature mechanics like Enlightenment, Mumbo Jumbo, and mind control (which is a Nature, not a Shadow mechanic).
I understand the worry about the potential homogenization of factions, but I think this worry is overblown. Over the last year and a half, our changes have been carefully designed in such a way as to give each faction a unique niche into which it can fit. Pure Frost has its Ice Shield and freeze mechanics; Nature has unit-centric armies (most decks are spell-centric) as well as the Root Network; Bandits has several unique archetypes with Banzai Lord, Bloodhorn, and Tortugun; etcetera. We are right now trying to do similar things for factions such as Stonekin, Twilight, and Lost Souls. These changes will hopefully continue our work and make each faction possess fully unique ways of playing. To me, much of the reason there are worries right now are because many, even most, of the cards in the game remain unviable and many archetypes are underdeveloped or weak. As we continue to change this, I think the worry about faction homogenization will abate.

    Patch #400034
This patch contains some Quality of Life changes, alongside updates to our free PvP decks.

    General Changes
Added a new map script function SetUiVisibility. You can use it to hide the UI by typing SetUiVisibility { InterfaceState = false } and unhide it using SetUiVisibility { InterfaceState = true }. It works analogously to the CTRL + U hotkey. Newly recorded replays will now display a "Desync" warning, if the gameplay differs from what occurred in the actual match. Added a cooldown icon indicator for the wall gate toggle ability. Updated the free PvP decks to match the new meta. An overview of these changes can be found on the Wiki.    General Fixes
Disabled all UI effects while the forge is paused. This caused bugged out visual effects before. Fixed a game crash when trying to log in with the wrong password or email. UTF-8 compatible Russian community map names are no longer automatically displayed with a an error message in the downloadable community map section. To achieve compatible map names and descriptions in Russian, please edit the description.xml file directly. Added trailing period for generic cooldown error message. Removed trailing period for toggle gate ability. Non-Player Card Entity Changes
Bandit Master Healer (Introduction) (Card Id: 235)
Aligned displayed name in non-English descriptions to match the English one.

NEW: Fire Altar (Collision enabled) (Card/Building Id: 3721)
Added a new version for the "Fire Altar" quest building for use with the map-editor. This version has collision enabled, meaning it will be able to be attacked by melee units.

    Rules! (read this)
    • Disconnection during a game results in a default loss. If both sides agree it is possible to have a remake.
    • Not showing up to your match after 15 minutes results in a default loss. The plan is to play a round of matches every ~30 mins.
    • After your match, go to Challonge and insert the result. That is done by clicking on your match and selecting the winner/stats . The brackets will be updated automatically.
    • The Map Pool is: 1st round: Haladur, 2nd round: Simai, 3rd: Elyon, 4th: Lajesh, 5th: Uro and 6th: Yrmia (same pool as in ranked duel).
The first match of the round will be played on the fixed map, then it is losers choice. The winning player (who won the previous match in the bo3) also has to lock in his deck first.
    • The brackets for the tournament will be shuffled before the tournament starts!
    • Use your Battleforge name for the tournament. If your Challonge account differs from your Battleforge account name use the "Sign up with an alternate name" feature or change your name for the tournament in the settings. Finding your opponent will be a LOT easier this way.

    Hey Sonaris,
Thank you for your feedback. We will keep track on pure Nature's performance in PvP and definitely follow up with number changes if something feels off. We do believe some of these design changes were necessary though as pure Nature was creating a lot of scenarios that were not creating a fun experience on both ends. Nature collapsed to any type of well executed early aggression while energy manipulation -> permahealed Deep Ones felt oppressive to play against at mid game on the other hand. We definitely want to keep a unique design approach for pure Nature with Energy Parasite and Deep One both maintaining strong positions in the game. That said we want to move away from the extremes here and add more counterplay on both ends. With spell buffs we want to give pure natures more of a control based faction feeling while toning down the "stall for the snowball" behavior. I agree that omnipresent allrounders like Stormsinger, which define multiple deck identities, are far from optimal design and we do not want to shift more factions into such a direction at all.
When it comes down to the Shrine of Memory, the card had severe issues due to the presence of very powerful hard counter tools. In higher elo games people would already spam Suppression rendering the Shrine entirely useless given its bound 100 power would never pay off. This would quickly carry over into the more average games if pure nature starts getting more popular as there is no micro load involved to execute this. With Matter Mastery in mind 50% of decks already posses such hard counter options that also do not create interesting gameplay patterns. Now keeping nature's matchups with access to these hard-counters balanced while maintaining a healthy dynamic against the decks that don't have such options, would be next to impossible. This is why we went towards a more PvE oriented focus for the building as it bears large potential to enrichen the gameplay experience over there.
So all in all we want to keep a unique identity for nature in PvP, but reduce the very exploitable early game into full snowball pattern a little bit. I hope these explanations are understandable. Please keep us up to date on how you feel about these changes and matchup dynamics overall as we want to improve the gameplay experience as much as we can!
