No crazy expensive cards but every card is usefull with the exception of Tempest.
Shrine of War is godlike in PVE, Gemeye, Magma Hurler and Unholy Hero are definetly solid cards for PVE. Treespirit is pretty busted in PVP afaik and Scavenger the go to swift unit in fire t1 PVP while Spirit Hunters is an optional card aswell. I think Magma Hurler is at least useable in PVP as well. Really nothing crazy but you can definetly use 7/8 of those cards which is definetly not the case as a lot of common cards definetly are not on this level.

Funnily when I checked if it was really 8 cards, I got a promo swamp drake. Guess I'm rich now

Oh wow you‘re actually correct about that - i didn‘t even realize but the rarities actually fall in line with that. Guess would be too much of a coincidence having 8 cards exact, a possible amount of rarities, in the exact order they would appear in a booster and a deck that otherwise makes no sense.... Thanks man, I am an idiot :(

  5. just a thought: I think what might help is characterizing the factions for what they stand and then let yourself inspire by existing symbols for those traits. i am not sure if that works but might as well try, right?

For example the key trait of twilight to me is mutation, I don't think there is an exisiting symbol for mutation though so maybe you can find a symbol for change?

for stonekin you probably want something like sturdiness, strength or stability?

and Bandits i wouldn't exactly know what their most important trait is - i first thought lawlessness but it doesnt really seem to fit, maybe you got some ideas for them?

  6. I think simple is the way to go here. I think @Necrospaz suggestions are actually pretty good. It is simple yet you instantly know what is meant, with maybe the exception of Shadow which represents risk and in a broader sense suffering to achieve ones goal. I think the purple colour scheme is good but i am not sure myself which symbol represents risk or suffering and is recognizable by everyone.

For the dual colour ones i think it is a lot harder to find something but i would stay true to finding something that makes them easily recognziable, so i would definetly try to avoid "complex" symbols and stay true to what works for the pure factions. I think the easiest way to distinguish factions are actually their colour schemes.

For example i would really like an blue white ghost/etheral flame for Lost Souls, even though flames are probably also used for fire. The symbal is easy and the flames itself are a reocurring theme in the faction. That is probably still the easiest to find something for.

Whenever i look at Bandit cards i always feel remembered of desert warriors but not sure if i am alone with that and i don't think using a sun would be telling enough. Not sure at all what to do with Stonekin and especially Twilight yet but ill keep thinking about it.

  7. 2674 first i wanted to write 2674 characters about nonsensical stuff (not) related to that number just to get you guys entertained but then remembered i got better things to do at this time like sleeping so i will not do that and simply go to bed and leave you with what i already got which hopefully maybe will satsify you and leave you utterly confused and terrified because of the nonsaying things you will read and the fact that i actually look like a normal guy. I actually hope you can still look at your neighbors face and don't think about the weird things he might or might not be thinking about right when you greet him in the morning or when he just brings your package that the postman left with him due to your absence. Anyways i am actually getting off the point of this post of diverging your attention that you actually already read a whole 711 charachters not including spaces and now already 927 charachters including spaces. We are getting closer to the half way point so i will continue writing sentences that actually don't add anything to this post at all. In memory of all the numbers that had to be stepped over without such a remarkable post as this one i would like to request you readers for a silent moment just as i do right now. i think it is absolutely unfair and unjust that some numbers get such a preferable treatment and get so much more recognition than others. I can't really wrap my head around why that is though - might be simply luck being at the right place at the right time or maybe it is a matter of numberical racism or sexisum. This might be stay one of the biggest mysteries of our time but i hope you can still sleep after this. Might not be so easy with all the weird ass neighbors around you but i hope nonetheless. For anyone who made it this far i actually hope you enjoy wasting your time on my nonsenical writing because i slowly run out of phrases to stall to the honey land of 2467 characters of nonsense. I might have to wait for some inspiritation to broaden my limited english vocabulary, so just give me a second to come up with something - still waiting but i can't think of anything so i will simply tell you that we are actually getting really close to 2674 characters so i might not even need some kind of wonder like turning water into wine or splitting up the sea. With this many characters not describing anything i probably could try being a politician, i might have a talent for that, don't you think? Otherwise i simply become some kind of halfgod because the wonder has arrived, i made it to exactly 2674 characters with the last dot - even better than wine in my opinion, that might be only me though.

Maybe i just post the deck i used( as far as i remember + rest assumptions of what i shouldve used):

Most of that should be rather selfexplaining. If you need some extra power for t2 i found Stone of Torment a good addition. Most of that is kinda necassery even though you could be fine without the decomposer and fof and unholy hero. Not necassery but highly recommended is Healing Gardens and Ray of Light. In combination those can give you super nice healing power.

Your charge prioratization are mostly the spells. I'd recommend putting at least 2 extra charges into Regrowth and 1 in each Equilibrium. Having 1 or 2 extra charges in Ray of Light is optional but i highly recommend it. You should have 1 extra charge in either one of the t3 units( i personally prefer Magma Hurler) and at least 2 extra charges in Giant Wyrm. Also at least 1 extra Charge in Offering and Rifle Cutltists is recommended. The Rest is rather 'nice-to-have' and you should be totally fine without any extra charges. That results in:

    U0:

    • Windweavers
    • Werebeasts
    • Nightcrawler
    • Swamp Drake
    • Decomposer
    • Furnace of Flesh
    • Breeding Grounds
    • Healing Gardens
    • Shrine of War
    • Unholy Hero
    • Surge of Light
    • Curse of Oink

    U1:

    • Magma Hurler
    • Rifle Cultists
    • Offering
    • Ray of Light
    • Equilibrium

    U2:

    • Giant Wyrm
    • Regrowth

    U3:

    • /

That would result in a total deck lvl of: 18 as a minimum to beat lvl 9 in a decent time. Pretty sure you can do it with less but it will increase the necassery time massively, as you will run out of charges quite constantly. I am not exactly sure what you will need for lvl 10, but depending on the map you might need a quite higher deck lvl. This deck will struggle against Stonekin maps at lvl 10 quite hard as it has hard times against Constructs and Tortuguns as well as against any kind of Bosses that you might face at t4. So for worst case scenario( Stonekin map and Boss at t4) i would recommend not even trying the map with this deck if you are not having massively improved your t2 and t3 regarding charges. I'd say you'd need at least deck around or it will soak up way to much time to make it worth. Any Bandit map should be possible with probably deck lvl around 30. This is based around assumptions though (so dont blame me if i am wrong :P).

Why am i getting this much off-topic nowadays :o? Trying to avoid it in future :P.

I will try to keep it as short as possible without leaving to much :). I won't mention obvious things like build a Breeding Grounds or the likes unless it is very important when to build them!

So generally at lvl 9 in solo rPVE you will face about 6-7 units at t2 and sometimes a tower, there will not be a spawn building which helps a lot. If there are 6 units you should get away with 5 Windweavers and 1, maybe 2 heals. If theres 7 units and/or a tower I'd advice you to build 2 Werebeasts and 4-5 Windweavers. Shouldn't be much of an issue tbh. You can kill your Werebeasts now to get wells up and your t2.

T3 can differ a lot so i won't go indepth that much, just general advices. You should generally get away with 3-5 Nightcrawlers oink and some heals + your Windweavers. With your Nightcrawlers you need to aim for the Spawn building youu'll face. Oink enemy units while that and let Windweavers focus down air units or if theres no air aim for towers. After that is just clean-up. If you are facing a close base at t2 save some power ( very situational but araound 400 should be fine). Rush T2 and defend with your t1 army. Keep them long enough alive with heals to get t2 and Oink. Build some Stone of Torment for defense( you gotta need to add it). Spawn about 3 Nightcrawlers run to the Spawnbuilding cc whatever possible and frenzy them to kill it. Clean-up after that. Note that this is just a general advise how to approach that situation, you might need to look out for your own solutions though.. be creative :) . Build Decomposer + FoF in front of your t3 monument and kill all the units you left and that are not necassery to defend. Build up t3 afterwards. Get SoW asap as you will probably only have  1 charge of it and you will need 2 definetly to keep the active up all the time! Thats the only reason why this deck works in T4.

Between T3 and T4 is another base in similar strength of T3. Wait to clear it until your SoW active is ready. I'd advice 2 Swampys and 2 Magma Hurlers for that base. For T4 you might need 3-4 Magma Hurlers though. if there is a boss at t4 you probably want Healing Gardens already. If not, build it after you got your t4 wells. Prioritze Surge of Light as your Main Heal at this stage of the game as you will need any charge of the higher tier heals you can get later on. When t4 is cleared wait with building the orb. Get back to your decomposer + FoF and kill all your units ( Get a new Breeding Grounds at your t4 as you will get attacked their as soon as you start building the orb). Note that if you used any t3 heals offer one of your t3 units instead of decomposing to get back the charge.

T4 is where it becomes tricky. It really depends how many units you need. For the first stage of t4 camps you might get away with 4-5 Giant Wyrms. Always clear those first! For 2nd tier of t4 bases you will need at least 8( if you managed to keep your heals up properly). Whenever your offering comes off-cooldown you want to use it. If you run out of charges you should use it on your t3 units to get back 2 heals, unless you got enough energy to get a new Giant Wyrm. Keep up your Healing Gardens and SoW all the time. You are not allowed to have huge downtimes of that. Try to get enemis splitting their focus on your Giant Wyrms to get Maximum Heals as often as possible. Do not heal instantly but be calm and only heal when a Wyrm is either about to die or you get maximum effectiveness of your heals. Be VERY careful/patient about them! Try to focus down some bigger units first but kill the Spawn Building before they respawn! That will minimize taken damage. Always try to focus big units with all your Giant Wyrms cause of same reason. You gotta need to improvise for your t4 defense. You can probably defend early waves with 2-3 Stone of Torment, might not work if you enter 2nd tier of t4 bases though. Always keep a Rifle cultist one base behind the one you are fighting. You gotta need to position it that way that it does not attack or get attacked by incomes that are aiming for your t4 base. That Rifle Cultist is your ground presence where you gonna spawn more Giant Wyrms after you started clearing first few t4 bases.

You gotta need to keep in mind multiple things. You have very little room for mistakes as otherwise you will run out of heals rather quickly:

    1. Reactivate Healing Gardens and SoW every 30 seconds( you need 2 each)
    2. Keep on Offering Units to get Heal Charges back( i think cooldown is 20 seconds unless you run out of charges which will happen sooner or later)
    3. Keep your Rifle Cultists 1 base behind the one you are fighting in and keep them in a safe spot
    4. Focus Fire of your Giant Wyrms and keep them alive
    5. have an eye at your t4 in case a to strong income hits it

Hope i didn't missed anything important and this helps you. For any further questions feel free to ask me.

You can do 1 player rPVE maps at level 10 with 0 charges with this deck :)

Generally i'd recommend using units like grinder that have high survivability and definetly playing a nature splash for regrowth and heals in general. If you can get your hand on promo grinder early on you are a lucky man :)

    Think of it as 'useful'

Its a very potent card and the reality is that in a high level rpve game, this card is a staple.

It's very risky to use in 2v2 (using this in 1v1 is not viable on an even skill level)

Binding 150 power and ensuring it survives for the duration of the build time (no idea how long that is) and then 60 seconds for the ability cooldown and then killing enough units to make it worth using can be extremely hard to pull off at the power disadvantage you put yourself in. If you can easily do this then you have already won the match and there are better options to end the game quickly.

When asking if a card is OP the first argument (like it or not) is always whether it is majorly affecting the pvp balance. If not, does the card have a game breaking effect on pve?

If it is blatantly overpowered (LSS anyone?) then yes it may end up on a watchlist.

At the end of the day, if the pvp balance is not affected, there would need to be a large outcry from the community to get the card considered for balancing.

Was SoW on the watchlist at one point? Seem to have a vague memory of it for some reason. if anyone knows it would be @Treim

I can't remember SoW ever being on a Watchlist. At the moment it is definetly one of the most potent cards in PVE though. While the effect is conditional it is almost never problem to find units to kill, especially in rPVE. I think the card never was on a watchlist as it was greatly overshadowed by other cards that were flat out stupid - second chance + decomposer, fof + embalmer's shrine + soul splicer, WoG stacking just to name the ones that were nerfed. Amii-monument especially is still stupid and LSS is at least way to good for casual play. Shadow Phoenix is probably at the same level as SoW as it is not flat out overpowered but definetly to strong compared to other choices at least in rPVE.

  10. 54 minutes ago, Chibiterasu said:

Isn't Embalmer's Shrine + Soul Splicer + Furnace of Flesh way more effective than Shrine of war or Decomposer + Furnace of Flesh? You get all your void energy back nearly instantly without any requirement. I even prefered it over Shrine of war in my bandit deck.

That doesn't work anymore, got patched out of the game together with Second Chance.
Also Decomposer + FoF is only used for energy transfer between players, so player A decomposes units from Player B to get additionall power, FoF for obvious reasons.
You can still use Cultist Master + FoF which is not very suitable for super spell heavy decks as it can not generate enough power from the void pool to constantly keep it very low.
SoW also has the huge advantage of being effective for team mates as well.

  11. 44 minutes ago, pabi said:

Normally I'd agree, but not sure if transfering power between players by Decomposer + Furnace of Flesh combo still works (I stopped playing about a year before closing of servers). If yes, that would be the most op thing here. Going into T4 after 2 minutes... Actually I never saw any info if that combination was a designed one or that it shouldn't work this way.

You can still do that. That is not exactly a combo used in casual play though but much more common and almost exclusively used for speedruns.

My post was meant to address casual play as that is what the vast majority of players used. Otherwise you would have to count Mine and Eruption as one of the best cards at least for rPVE as well.

And yeah gotta agree that powertransfer is a very powerful tool for speedruns on a lot of maps.

  12. Shrine of War was one of the very best cards in the whole game for PVE/rPVE. It is certainly op, especially when you play it in decks that are spamming spells and therefor make full use of it. I would even say that after Amii-Monument, Lost Spirit Ship and maybe Shadow Phoenix it is the most broken card for rPVE for casual play. If you can somehow slot this card into a deck, just do it and you are never wrong.

  13. 2 hours ago, gnomgrol said:

@Treim Found the problem, fixing it. Gemme 10 minutes.

Wrong card data is caused by the skylords backend, can't do anything about that myself.

EDIT: Done. If you were creating a deck while it was bugged, you'll have to delete it and recreate.

If anyone still has bugs, reload the page with Ctrl+F5 or Shift+F5 to make sure the newest version is loaded.

Are you sure the image function works properly, retrying to get a deck as an image for the last few hours (also reloading map and deleting and rebuilding the deck) or is that problem on my end?

  14. At this point i would like to give out praise for your improvements over the last 2 years and 9 months that i am part of the very community you desire to fullfill with happiness.
While many mistakes were made even more improvements were made. I am certain that when @InsaneHawk and @Blank started this project they never once thought that they would be the leaders of a project that amassed over 19000 followers to this day. Managing 19000 members certainly is very different from doing just that for the 500 we were when i created my account. And while the community grew so did you. You updated the forum, you added multiple Card Bases, you added a dev platform with regular updates, you hired new modertors and found new developers, you added bots with a trivia to the forum, you created a discord server, you added a Booster Simulator. I think you handled uncertain information pretty well from the very beginning, just the ambitious ETA's were a pretty big HYPE-killer that was publicly discussed. This change shows me that you are still close to the community and read and discuss every suggestion that is made. I am pretty confident that you won't change so fast and believe even more that this project has a great future ahead of itself.

While it may have taken many hicc-ups and a lot of time to get to this point and there certainly is room to grow and improve i fondly remember each and every second of being part of this community - Be it the huge milestones and moments of entering the forge, hitting 1000/5000/10000 members on the forums or finally starting the first game in Battleforge or even just the small discussions and conversations in various forum threads with great people. The road might have been rocky with many obstacles to overcome but i felt that the heart and soul of every SR-team member was in this project.

    Thatfor i want to sincerely applaud you: Thank you, you are awesome @InsaneHawk @Blank @MrXLink @Kiwi @Dexirian @MephistoRoss @fiki574 @Bolrader @Boorinio @bobfrog @Aviat0r @Lord NullPointer @Inwutsch @NanoRhino (yes even you @Ultrakool ;))

I recall that i had Phase Tower in my Lost Deck back in the day. As i see here you guys dont use it in any of the decks posted here.

If i remember correctly it was actually one of my favorite cards in the deck as i did a lot of unique tactics and plays with it espechially on PVE.

So my question is if its actually viable or if i should actually use a different kind of building in my lost deck.

@Treim You seem to be having a lot of expirience playing with Lost. Could you suggest me anything or should i try building a similair or the same deck as the ones on the first page?

    BR, steezy

The decks i posted here were mainly for rPVE so i will stick to that. While Phase Tower in those decks certainly is not a standard choice it is definetly an option. Phase Tower can be used as the main damage source of a t1 in rPVE. I generally used Dreadcharger or Skeleton Warrior to gain ground presence for Phase Tower to move. Dreadcharger has the swift advantage and is more than enough against Bandits, Twilight and Stonekin. Against Lost Souls Skeleton Warrior as a superior tank is better, as the t2 can be pretty nasty. It is definetly manageable with Dreadcharger but you will need more towers/units to clear. Both are viable options and you can choose by personal preference.

I am not that experienced with Phase Tower in PVE so i can‘t give you a final judgement but i think you can make it work on at least some maps where you don‘t have to overcome huge distances to get to t2. I could see it working on maps like Sunbridge while you probably don‘t want to use it on maps like Dwarven Riddle or Crusade.
