BattleForge Reborn is going to be a private server, but we're not going to make any profits of this.

You'll be able soon to donate to our project, we'll be using this to pay the fees we have, and after, you'll have to chose a charity, and we'll donate to them all the founds we get from donations !

Technically we can, but right now we should really focus on getting the game up as it was, then we'll see what can be done later.

Not only that, considering has it own EULA and copyrighted, unfortunately modifying content is not possible, not because the devs are not able to, but it'll get the project down.

The developers must take the permission to modify any client-related code/w.e from EA first.
