    I rather tend to use the minions that buff all twilight units before attacking big camps... I had also ran both affinities to buff my t1 leftovers. As for slaver, I tend to look at him as a mix of a unit and a weak eruption. For PvP thats garbage. Haven't tried if its considerable transforming him into a vile or sth to get it off. Maybe a good pvp player can test this or give some insight.
    Yeah for rpve10 curse seems legit. But for 9 and beyond you dont need it and in pvp it only was useful for the mentioned situations.

    Since the April Fool's video I made, I've been playing with the idea of having a Troll 2v2 tournament where teammates start on opposite teams.
    Let's imagine 4 players: P1 and P2 are on a team against P3 and P4. P1 and P3 will be the "leaders" of their team.
    The game would start with P1 and P4 on (map) team 1; P3 and P2 would be on team 2. So actual teammates start on the opposite teams as each other. If team 1 (aka P1) sees the victory screen, P1 and P2 win the game. I team 2 (aka P3) sees the victory screen, P3 and P4 win.
    So basically, P2 and P4 are trying so sabotage their temporary teammates.
    Shadow is of course the obvious choice for trolling, so I am thinking the "sabotage" player should not be allowed to play any shadow orbs. We can see how creative people can be. I have thought of some interesting strategies to troll your partner even without shadow
    I am also wondering if the "lead" player should also be penalized from using shadow. For example, cards like corpse explosion or shadow phoenix would still be very strong in this scenario.
    Here is the current ruleset I'm thinking about:
    Each team is composed of a "lead" and "sabotage" player. The sabotage player starts on the enemy team and is not allowed to play any shadow orbs. Victory is determined by the winning "lead" player.
    Pairings: Swiss system with a random seeding
    Points: 7 points for victory, 3 points for loss, -3 points per shadow orb played
    Teams will play 2 games back-to-back.
    Maps: Fyre, Danduil, Gorgash, Zahadune, Turan. Any other map (including Generated) is allowed if BOTH teams agree to it.
    One team will ban 2 maps. The other team chooses any of the 3 remaining maps. The team that banned chooses the starting position of both players.
    After game 1, the map picking roles reverse.
     
    I don't know if it's feasible to stream the games live, especially since I would want to hide troll strategies from the competitors. But I'd like all the games to happen on the same day, so there is less chance for cheating (i.e. sharing replays with someone so they know someone else's strat).
     
    Anyone interested in playing (or watching) this?

    Over the years, I've heard lots of people say they want to have t4 fights in pvp. Well, I made a map to test something else, but the result is a map where you can have a huge t4 fight.
    So go ahead and try it if you want, and then you will see that there is not really a point
    You can play this map by going to the Sparring grounds, then clicking community maps and selecting Paint Block Test.
    My map gives you t4 immediately, and there is an open fight. The other map where you can have a PvP t4 fight is called Maze of the Survivors. This map forces you to beat some PvE enemies first, so you will be t4 when you get to the other player. Either map will let you see that t4 fights are silly in PvP

    Hello Skylords,
    I would like to propose a cosmetic skin for the Forge that would be used as an activatable option during winter season. Technically this does not pose too much of an issue. I also went ahead and created a first draft of the Winter Forge to give u some ingame screenshots below: 




    An alternative option would be to redesign the entire forge perhaps even put it in a different location, but that would lose the old spirit.

    Added 2 Player level 10 solo - messed up at the end big time, otherwise okay run for first full clear. I think something in the low 25's is possible. With a perfect run maybe a high 24.
    In regards to your request:
    You can essentially mirror this for the right side. You can play the right side slightly more risky by clearing the 2nd camp instantly as the Windhunters are positioned further away and you can probably dive with phoenixes before they can paralyze you. After that you can just fly out and clear t3/t4 similarly to what is shown in the replay.
    I do think you can play this with only phoenixes and no curse of oink which I tried once (13 phoenixes) but it gets a bit intense in terms of managing the phoenixes  after the initial dive and you will lose some in the process of killing the constructs (i was left with 10), so you will probably have to respawn 1 or 2 for the clear on the 2nd camp at least on the left side. Right side you might just barely squeeze through with 13 starting phoenixes and no respawns if you play it well.
    The t2 clear is a bit more complicated on the left side as you have to really try not to pull the shamans or if you pull them at least not attack them for as long as possible. Otherwise you get 2 additional incomes, which you really want to avoid. I hope this helps you.

    Position 1 and 2 will play out slightly differetly most likely. I would clear it with phoenixes though. As there are Windhunters in the base you probably want to have at least 12 phoenixes. If they still trouble you, you can add Curse of oink and send a ground unit to oink the Windhunters before killing the constructs with phoenixes. 
    I dis not play the map yet and only had a cursory glance. I will try to provide you with a replay solution by the end of the weekend for both sides

    I also have found this game few days ago. Its a powerful change, because this is a key game, because no RTS are out there, working as intended, being the fun intended, count the wounds the time scratches in.
     
    I got almost all cards except the very rare ones, in just only that time. (Playing like 8 hours a day oops). One notices very the restrictions that were there, and are there, but thanks god we have at least this stand. If i had time, i would work on content for the game, but i dont have the circumstances to do so right now.
     
    Im missing a 'welcome back' thread, so' just saying hi, here.
     
    The playernumbers are more than ok. at first, everything seems superstrong, but when you get the right cards, it turns.

    Hi everyone,
    while I was writing suggestions for twilight hag and mutating maniac I figured I might also share my thoughts on the rest of the bunch. I tried to play the faction as exclusively as possible and to be honest... they could need a hand here and there but they are not as bad as most people think. I should mention that I'm not a speedrunner or pvp pro or anything like that. I mostly play rpve 8-9 and sometimes a little pvp with friends and ofc some missions for quests and fun. So my experience might be a little one sided but twilight is the faction I played the most by far. Since the transform mechanic is generally way too expensive except for some gimmicky stuff I'll try to keep it out of this.
    So lets hop into it and start with t2.
    1. Deathglider
    Dies way too fast for what it is... the only ranged t2 that twilight has. And for 60 power not as spammable as it would be neccessary.. so either up his hp to something around 450+ or decrease his power to 45-50
     
    2. Twilight Brute
    Really good stats, though slow and nothing but raw numbers. If you compare him to enforcer he will loose due to enforcers charge. But his stats are not the point. His ability could be at least consicerable if it wouldn't run out or costs less power. It can be considered a eruption-ish way to use it but its way slower and easy to outmanouver. So either make the mark last infinitely or reduce the power to 25-30
     
    3. Twilight Minions
    If Deathglider might serve as a true s-counter they are fine as they are. If not, changing them to s/s might be an option.
     
    4. Slaver
    Stats and ability are alright. His cost on the other hand is nowhere near reasonable. I'd wish for 65 but 70 might be more fitting.
     
    5. Vileblood
    Stats are fine. But if you compare it to sth like mountaineer... maybe reduce his cost to 120.
     
    6 Twilight Curse
    Has anyone ever used that card? Its a useable counter to stuff like mounty aggressor or skyfire. But like with lots of other twilight cards I think the cost is just too high. 90 is still a lot but that would make it at leat a little more appealing.
     
    On to t3:
    I have already talked about Twilight Hag and Mutating Maniac in different threads that I linked. Twilight Creeper is absolutely fine the way it is.
     
    1. Treefiend
    Well.. cost. Just that. His nature original costs 30! power less. Aside from him not really fitting anywhere (sadly) his cost should be lowered to at least 130. But honestly.. I don't really know what to do with him :/
     
    2. Twilight Warfare
    The idea behind the card is nice. A wrecker-rallybanner-like effect that gives either lifesteal or a soft-siege to all friendly creatures. But the radius is way to small to be really effective. By putting the range up to 30-35 it might maybe be worth the power... because the opponent might just run away or heal his unit.. or cc yours.
     
    And t4:
     
    1. Abomination
    Solid card. Actually I think this is a pretty good example of what twilight cards should be like. Raw Power with average cost but clunky. No buffs needed I just mentioned him as an example.
     
    2. Nightshade Plant
    Again comparing the unit to its original counterpart. The ability is somewhat alright though loosing t4 units is generally not that good. It also won't happen that often because twilight aims to have their units close to unkillable. They also do not really need another l-counter. My suggestion would be giving him siege and reducing his cost to 240.... makes it even more like grimvine but at least adds some purpose for playing him.
     
    3. Skycatcher
    I will leave his terrible hp aside since he can be considered a supporter. But the cost of both his abilities are terrible. Also the range of his aura forces him to go into melee where he might just die off if you dont have both affinities using their abilities at the same time. Infection costing 0 and impairment costing 80 while also increasing the range to match his attacks would be my suggestion.
     
    4. Twilight Pestilence
    Really good card imo. Just make it reusable every 20 seconds to keep up the effects.
     
    It is actually a lot that needs to be improved for twilight imo. They work ok at the moment but there is a reason almost noone uses them...
    Honorable mention: Hatecaster. Extremely nice card. Fits the faction really well.

    where you get that 14.5% chance for promo?
    199/200 is chance to not get promo in a booster 0,995, if you 0,995*0,995*0,995*...0,995 29 times you will get chance to not get promo in any booster 86,47077%, so chance to get at least one promo in 29 boosters is 13,52923%
    Last time I checked most boosters was not worth it, but even 10 expesive cards (based on their sold prices in AH) while acounting for their chance in boosters make opening boosters worth it, while counting every other card to be worth 3
    But I do not have access to current AH data, so the cards are maybe much cheaper now. (and I also do not know if the promo chance as changed)

    Hey everyone,

    I decided to continue my thread from the original Battleforge forums, where i shared all my solo rPvE replays with the community - thanks to @Kybaka for picking this up again last month.
    You can expect regular updates at the beginning of each month for the month that just passed. I will upload most replays throughout the month whenever I get a halfway decent time on these maps. Exception being maps where an alltime speedrun record is possible - those will be uploaded at the end of the month. Cleanliness of play in the replays can greatly differ due to time investment. You can at least expect a top 3 finish for the respective month for each of these replays though.
    If i play Motm level 9 maps solo, they will be updated throughout the month as I am doing those just for the sake of it.

    Please note that older replays will not work due to the game being patched now. If all cards in the replay are unchanged you can fix it with the Replay Fixer Tool that can be found on the forums. If cards are changed, replays are at least as of right now not watcheable anymore - not sure if a backward compability will ever be introduced.

    I absolutely believe you. But how many people like you are there? Certainly not all of the current players. 
    And for most people, this will be the third time they need to start over from zero. Can't say that sounds like a recipe for fun. And ultimately, there is no new experience to be had.
    By now, most people already had their fair share of nostalgia, there is little more to be gained from now on. And all of this only takes the veteran players into account. If the game wants to be a success, it needs to attract more players. Really, you need to keep new players as much as possible.
    *Start Rant*
    This can only be addressed with careful game design that should have been addressed years ago. Card Balancing is one obvious major factor, but achievements and unique rewards for trying out new and weird things also factors into this. But all I can see is a painfully slow process on a questionable re-work of the BFP income.
    For those reasons, I fear the worst for the longevity of the game.

    Edit: Just today I decided to log on again... and nobody was hosting even a single game. It doesn't feel like there are many people left that feel in charge and do their best for the future of the game. *Sigh* And now with Kubik gone, I just don't know man... I try to stay positive, but I can't help but feel a little naive for that.

    intended for a nice quick game. became a solo mission for one person and for the other it was a loop of no power and only having t1. 102 squads lost, 55 buildings destroyed, 11 orbs destroyed for 1 legendary man.

    Well, if the card collecting is the most important part of this game (I argue it is not, this is a RTS game first and foremost) why don't you take the opportunity to do it now and then once again after the reset. Twice the fun, right?

    They dynamic for nature in 2v2 differs alot. Dryads & support spells can be utilized to very high efficiency, which makes the faction insanely strong here. Shadow + Nature (Nox-/Forsakenspam + double dryad) is by far the best T1 combination in open 2v2 combat and probably the strongest T1 combination overall, while Fire + Nature is probably ranked second as it is the most flexible combination with alot of cross map support and spell synergy (mine + root in T1 can be extraordinary powerful and win games on its own). Just the passive pressure a nature mate exerts just by threatening a potential hurricane support on 1v1 based maps like Zahadune can completely alter the T1 dynamic on the other side of the map too.  It also scales well into later gamestages as you have options to pick the strongest T2 compositions like Pure Fire + Stonekin for instance.
