    Greetings Skylords, Skyladies and Skyfolks!
Throughout the past few weeks we have noticed increasingly negative comments and remarks with regards to Skylords Reborn, its progress and its development time. Accusations of us scamming supporters are made on a daily basis, and while that is simply false in every aspect, we do understand that a lot of you have major concerns and are worried about the project, whether it's still a thing, whether we have run off with Patreon funds, and where we are right now after 3 years of development. Don't worry, though! We live, and as you will soon find out, we are doing well and are going nowhere!
The thing is, and beta testers know this, that we are actually making a lot of progress to the point where we are busy stress testing the servers with the Closed Beta testing group, improving server stability and creeping closer to Open Beta with every single test. And by the Old Gods, it took a while to get here. A lot of you have an idea of how long a game development cycle can take, and so it is only understandable that 3 years seems like an awful lot just to bring a game back. However, it's a lot more complicated than that due to this being a passion/voluntary project that we don't get paid for, and finding/fixing bugs being way more complex due to us not having made the client code at all. This makes it an unpredictable process in which we can't set deadlines or promise fixed release times. For a more detailed explanation, refer to the quote below from the Open Beta Information thread:
Rest assured, we are happy to inform you that we don't want to make money from this project (even if we wanted to, it would be illegal), and that your support is not in vain. Supporting the project is also completely voluntary, and we do not give any game rewards to patrons at all. Thanks to every single one of you who has been having faith in this project and supporting us by being a thriving and friendly community, we have managed to come a long way in 3 years, in which we faced managerial issues, legal complications, several server rewrites, and a lot of swapping regarding staff and partnerships. Our team right now is very solid and progressive, though, and we're getting closer and closer to that glorious Open Beta. We are reaching important testing milestones, which is fantastic. For example, @Kubik has evaluated our latest Closed Beta Stress Test, which was held yesterday. He has collected the following results:
For more details on the stress test results, there will be an update on our Developer Platform soon!
"What does all this mean?" you may wonder. In essence, it means that we are ironing out some of the last bugs in the current server code (as far as we can see), are getting further in making 12-player maps work properly, and the server is currently able to handle quite some players at the same time. In other words, progress, progress, progress! Keeping this in mind, we would like to give you the following information:
    Something BIG is coming.
Though we will not be reaching a full open beta state just yet, something large and important will be coming to the Skylords Reborn community in the near future. To present this and to provide you with details on this big development milestone, we will be announcing a new, important official stream very soon, so stay tuned!

Hopefully this update will clarify things and ease away some of the major concerns you may all be having regarding the project. Be sure to check the forums, discord or other social media for the stream announcements, and for weekly updates about all the progress we are actively making, check our Developer Platform!
Thank you all again for your undying support and dedication to the project and the game, and we hope to bring all over 21 THOUSAND of you Skylords, Skyladies and Skythings (*GASP*) more great progress and updates in the near future!

I am fine with no dates and I know that delays happen. Whatever happens happens, the only stake I have in this is that I would like the opportunity to play BattleForge again.
But honestly, I am getting more worried about the general atmosphere and by the fact that some devs themselves can't keep their hype in check. What's with the
in the update? Can you be more polarizing? I understand that there is passion behind the project but it just goes off the far end. People take this whole thing way too personal. And inflammatory swipes like this aren't helping anyone. Neither do I think the heartfelt apologies are having the intended effect. I would mainly just aim for a lower profile, keep it interactive and transparent but don't go overboard either way.
What kind of community do you want to foster? I see it steering towards "Us VS Them". Just a hostile environment with angry mobs that attack anyone that dares voice doubts. Do not get your ego involved. Technical issues can be resolves easier than a broken community. And let's not forget that a BIG focus should be on a welcoming and friendly community as it will most likely be relatively small and needs every active member it can get.
On a related note, the up- and down-vote system does not help it either. It discourages voicing controversial statements because of the possible retribution of red pixels and encourages just preaching with the choir creating an echo-chamber and generally a more volatile environment for discussion. Especially since it is not anonymous. It also just brands people that may have had one post that others didn't like among other neutral ones to the point where creating a new account is easier than trying to get positive standing again.
Again, at this point I am less worried about the state of the game than the state of the community from top to bottom and where it could be headed.

Actually I think this has been a subject of discussion more than enough and normally I don't join such shitstormlike structures on principle, but this sentence makes me think you're stupid, so I need to inform you:
First of all Duke Nukem Forever: 14 Years delay... you wouldnt have said that if you had been waiting for that game Age of Empires - Definite Edition: Six days b4 release in October 2017, delayed to 2018 Dead Island 2: Release date 2015 - not released yet as far as i know Zelda - Breath of the Wild: Release date: 2015, came out 2017 South park - the fractured but whole: 2016 -> 2017 Mass Effect Andromeda: 2016 -> 2017 Horizon Zero Dawn: 2016 -> 2017 ... I could continue this list till "1000." Last but not least: Gothic 3, released on time in 2006 -> most awefull stupid unplayable buggy game I've ever played, not even working properly and lagfree today on highend 2018 computers (without community-patch)...
So please inform yourself of things b4 you reveal your immature anger about non-professional freetime developers next time
Furthermore I can recommend this article warmly to you. Maybe then you will understand that an early release is not the most important thing in your life right now.

Are you serious? I mean, I would've laughed at this statement 10 years ago, but now? Really? The age of "early access" aka we promise we'll finish the game you paid us for someday, honest. Hell yes this happens all the time to far more professional studios.
Now, this part I don't disagree with you on, but apparently nor do the devs, hence them stating after the last delay that they will not give estimated release dates any more. I'm sure it upsets them at least as much as it does us for them to feel like they are telling thousands of people "we let you down". The dates are obviously never intended to be "false", bad things happen unexpectedly. I should've gotten to work at 8:30am this morning but somebody crashed their car so I didn't.
Well, the game will be out in 3 years for sure, 3 months probably - take a breath, come back later, or enjoy just being part of the community in the run up.
Nor would I, would you? What does one respond to that? They've already taken on board your suggestion, surely that's better than a response?

    Hello
How does your preferd decks look at the Start. Share Your Deck prefered or selected under some rules, since its ment for starter decks, use mostly Common & Uncommon Cards with max 2 Rare Cards.
Here my choise made out of only Common Cards:

Rifle Cultist & Silverwind Lancer are mostly in for the use of Offering to reset Charges since cards dont hold that many Charges at the start.

what are your decks in considering of the rules to create decks at start with Common, Uncommon and max 2 Rare Cards?

This may help new Players at the start to create some stable decks to beat RPvE and maybe some PvE maps.
    Greetings

Gotta admit, i'm pretty massively disappointed - but there's no blame in that.
sounds to me like dev team need to stop being so excited about release and look at it more logically.
There's a lesson to be learnt here: Trying to make us all happy can have the opposite effect - so stick to what you should be:
    it's ready, when it's ready.
no more self imposed deadlines please guys, you'll over work yourselves and you'll frustrate the community.

thanks for the continuing work, i saw you all online extensively yesterday, so i'm sure you guys are being completely truthful in your hopes, but it's time to relax and get the job done.

best of luck to all of you

No need to waste your time doing screenshots. I added a button to the booster simulator that lets you share an image of the booster

As for the first Thing, i don't really know either, but S or M stands for the unit size it is strong against
S = strong against S (small) Units. that means your unit deals 50% more damage to small sized Units. same goes for M, L, XL
The Bow says that your unit is ranged, while a sword stands for melee.

I don't want to really complain about it, yet i wanted to give a small info : lots of These giveaways are at around 00:00am or even 01:00am in the western european time Zone (Berlin etc.) which is really late for the People that have to go to work the next day. I know you cannot please everyone because there are People from many different timezones, but i think the majority should be in europe and would maybe appreciate if These giveaways would be an hour earlier or so.

    Let me tell you something...
I've been in the shoes of those developers, working so hard to revive our favorite game. Kinda.
Whenever you feel so close to solving a problem, at least 3 more emerge. Re-writing a server-side client in another language, while it seems doable is not an easy task. Those estimates are unreal. It is just not doable in the spans mentioned, If those guys manage to do that- I'll applaud them. I do not want to break the hype, but the winter release will be followed by the spring one. If it was meant to be done it should happen over an year span.
I actually don't believe that those devs are able to pull this stuff. So young and lacking experience... They are giving us false hopes. I predict that nothing will be playable, except the forge in the next 2 years. I know how those things work and this is just a masquerade. I am grateful for the effort put into it, but I just believe that we'll get what is promised in the days to come.

    Hello Skylords,
So now, let's talk about what we're going to do after all you will have to wait a bit longer, and please forgive us for this delay.

We have decided on a few things:
Everyone will receive 2 boosters once the game will be in open beta (you'll still get them even after a potential reset) From the 1st of February and until the Open beta, we'll invite some players everyday to the closed beta, to increase the amount of players, progressively (Giveaways will happen anytime during the day, morning, afternoon, evening ..) You'll be able from now to pre-download the client, and we finally after a lot of discussion decided to give the client here on the forum ourselves. Want to pre-download it ? You can use Mediafire or MEGA to download it! (You cannot start the game right now, you'll have to wait for open beta, and the release of our launcher to make it work.)

INFORMATION : Giveaways for the Closed Beta will resume! These giveaways will mainly be held on Discord, but it may also happen on the forum, so keep following these two closely!
    Discord : https://discord.gg/0y3WGMGXhd5q2lXA

With kind regards and apologies for any inconvenience caused,

    Sincerely,
    The Skylords Reborn Team

Also in Addition to what People said earlier : you really don't have to correct everyone when they say something that is slightly wrong. The more peacefully you react towards them, the faster they will calm down and be peaceful with you.
I mean no Need to say that People are really annoyed by you fighting to be "right", because that has been said so often now. If you don't agree with someone you don't always have to tell them and explain yourself. And if someone responds to your question of "how do you mean that?" in a way that u can't work with, it might be better to just let it be and dont reply anymore if you have the feeling that it won't become clearer or more constructive afterwards.

    I didn't do this....
I wrote that cause I don't think this is the right way of improving...

@YT Tobbezockt I don't want to have a discussion I am on this forum for fun and I assume you are aswell. Thus I removed my downvote. And if you want to have a tip I'll give you one now. Don't reply to every single argument here. If someone gives an opinion/critisicm or a tip just see what you do with it and don't automatically start defending yourself there is no need to reply to everything and it can annoy people (since you sometimes sound a little angry even if you didn't mean it that way). So simply don't reply and nothing can go wrong.
    Edit:
Ah just saw someone else wrote this tip aswell. Well anyway I agree on that  And let's just quit this now.

*Edit: I just try to help you, dont take this as an insult please*
@YT Tobbezockt I wonder how old you are in real life. I also wonder if you ever had a job with a boss (or any kind of authority), cause you should have learned how to deal with them.
If I can give you one single hint to improve your attitude: Act like everyone else is superior to you, like all of them are your authority. (Dont do this is you do not have an issue, cause it is kinda weird, but it might help certain people here). Doing this will force you to show respect to them and speak kind words instead of hate.

Also, this post is good... or was good. You started great, with the opening post. Naturally people started to complain, as they always do... Instead of taking the critisism, you started figthing it AGAIN. you should have learned by now that that is your main issue.
Just read all the replies you typed on the first page... instead of saying "you are right", you are typing stuff like "no, you are wrong, it was ....". And remember: even when they are wrong, act as if they are your authority. Just tell them they were right and let them f*** off, most of them are just a bunch of kids anyway.

Also, that qoute in your signature is very interesting, but it will not help your situation if you act like that.
