Edit by DragonOfime: This thread is for reference purposes, so people know which general issues the staff are aware of. It is NOT for posting your own issues. Please follow the proper procedure if you have a problem to report.

    Hi,
As you might have noticed we are having some issues with the servers since the start of the open stress test. Here are the most common known issues that the Devs are working on. There is no need to report these issues if you encounter them and it is pointless to ask what you can do about it or when it will be solved. The Devs are already working on it as fast as they can. So please be patient.
    Disconnect upon entering the forge
This means you timed out when trying to connect. This happens when there are too many login attempts at the same time, so please wait and try again later. The Devs are already working on a solution.

    Account not activated
Your account is activated if you can login to this forum. No email is sent, so you can ignore this message and just retry to login.

Freeze/disconnect ingame or at loading screen
Freezes and disconnects while creating a lobby, loading a game, being in the AH, in the forge, ingame, clicking on a map on the worldmap etc. are normal atm due to the servers being unstable. The Devs are working on it to fix this. No need to report this unless it happens after specific actions that you can reproduce each time.
No progression or gold/XP rewards after match
When you finish a PvE match, you wont receive any gold or XP and the next map or difficulty is not unlocked.
    Discord announcement from Fiki (2018-09-18)
    Let's clear some stuff up:
    - We're aware of all possible crashes, disconnects and freezes, you don't need to ping us or notify every now and then
    - The crashes, disconnects and freezes are random and not player or server specific, works for some, doesnt for rest
    - Do not trigger multiple actions (like switching from auction house to world map) fast one after another, give it 10-15 seconds
    - Just because you can't log in or you get disconnected, doesn't mean the servers are offline, they're just "refusing" your connection
    - Lobby or loading screen freezes are not map or player specific as well, they're also random
    - Inability to buy card upgrades is still being looked into
    - Mails, trades and decks should be less problematic, but still could have occasional problem or crash
    - Losing your BFP is unfortunately permanent at this stage, however we're looking at causes of them (you can't get your BFP back though)
    - Losing your cards in failed mailings or trades is permanent at this stage, however we're also looking into this (you can't get your items back)
    - If you notice that you've lost BFP or anything else, immediately relog, it could be returned upon next entering
    - Logging out and logging back in usually solves most of the problems (as well as launcher restarting)
    - When you encounter a bug, make sure you can reproduce it at least 3 out of 5 times before reporting it
    - This is also known, stop posting pictures of this error everywhere! https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/467012106533863439/491523028027703308/unknown.png

Greetings, dear Skylords, Skyladies and Skyfolks!
We're excited to announce that the Skylords Reborn Team (represented by InsaneHawk and myself) will host a brand new, official stream in order to reveal some very important and big information for the foreseeable future of the project. We have been making massive amounts of progress in the past few weeks, and it has all been leading up to this moment, which is a major milestone before Open Beta, but more on that Wednesday! (Though we can assure you that a little hype is in order for everyone!)
We will be hosting an official stream on Wednesday the 5th of September on 20:30 CEST (18:30 UTC)
on our Twitch Channel, bringing you all some big and important news and updates!
Thank you all for your patience between our last announcement and this one. The upcoming stream will be one of the most exciting ones for us yet, so feel free to tune in and say hi! Can't make it to the stream? Don't fret! The entire stream will be available on our Twitch Channel's History.
See you soon, and may the Forge be with you!

Read FAQ and first page this thread. Close beta invitations are close now. We all waiting on open beta :).
    From first page:
    Client download
You can pre-download the client using Mediafire or MEGA.nz.
You cannot start the game right now, you'll have to wait for open beta, and the release of our launcher to make it work.

I support an open minded community, and open minds do not think alike, especially with over 20k people. The few dozens/hundreds that are active in my opinion are the patient ones, those that visit rarely tend to be disappointed as they don't see the progress go as the active part does. Of course, testers and staff - people with access to the game - are a different branch and I believe most of them, at least from my perspective, want to persuade the random visitors that there is a lot going on and not to lose hope.
The poll that was opened and closed... well, I personally wouldn't close it because of a few random offtopic responses as there was still place for more answers from more people and perhaps some of the random visitors after reading the well formulated reasons why the game isn't out yet would be like "yea, perhaps they aren't lazy in there", but as I partly contributed to the topics closure with a response to a random thing, I am not the one to talk - though I said my opinion to begin with.
I agree with you both, but as an old timer on the forum - everyone should understand that certain things are just out of the question and are not going to happen. Even if a hundred or a thousand people voted "release the game in its current state", I believe the priorities of the devs are to make the server work close to flawlessly and it's not going to change. Same goes for repeated questions and demands, it gets tiring after a month or two, let alone literal years. People who aren't investing their time into this project should not be denied a say, but can't expect to have any real leverage on the decisions of staff. The long time supporters versus the impatient ones, as you called it, is just natural since the impatient ones won't be doing their own research and yet demand answers to FAQ questions all the time and long time supporters are tired of that, thus becoming impatient with the impatient ones. After years of answering the same questions over and over, you can't blame anyone for not being welcoming and cheery around people who genuinely can't be active and yet want to be a part of the community. There is no easy way to distinguish between members who are just lazy and those who are curious and want to know more.
Seeing as you joined early after the project began, you perhaps remember that before Tech Alpha started, the community was much more united, mostly because we have all been around for relatively short time and noone had access, we were all equal and just wanted to play the game. Over time it grew to the point where newcomers were being informed by active members, then by a bot responding to frequent keywords. All that is left now is the header text above chat, since most active members are partaking in testing and don't visit the Forum much, or can't be bothered to answer anymore (my case, I'll admit I am just lazy and tired to do repetitive stuff for so long) while new people keep pouring in and random visitors from the past stumble back here just to find out there are people playing while they are not. Unfortunately, there is no real way to fix this. Noone can make me be patient except me, noone can force anyone who stumbles by to read the entirety of the FAQ or even the header. I would be glad if the community was at its 2015/16 state, but that's unrealistic. Perhaps the best we can hope for is the game coming out and everyone being hyped and wanting to cooperate. I will make no further comments about the moderation teams decision/s as that's currently not related and not fitting the point I am trying to make.
My ramble went a bit random at times for quite too long, but hopefully the message got through - shit ain't perfect, but we all can do our best and it's not anyone's fault, its the natural way of things the way go.

The poll thread you're indirectly referring to here has been closed as the replies to that very thread went downhill in means of becoming just another memery.  Treat others how you yourself want to be treated. Being disrespectful and blatantly calling us out won't result in us patting your back. There isn't a message I wrote that got understood correctly, I always turn out to be aggressive or hostile towards someone when in reality it's quite the opposite. I'm sorry you're getting the impression of hostility towards and inside our community, but the reality is a bit different, at least from my point of view. Also, there are many "wise" people who are oh-so-familiar with everything, from community interaction to game development. Then you have those that come , (again, from my point of view) only to provoke. Having two of the mentioned types combined results in a bit frustration, at least with me. Hence I stopped responding actively to pretty much 95% of the similar messages, posts or threads and left others to deal with cause my inter-human contacts tend not to go well and, as said previously, get misunderstood.
If you think that we're benefiting from having the beta closed and not opened, you're dead wrong. We, staff, want this out as much as you do, if not more.

EDIT: I'm saying this in general, not directly to you Tazermarks, just to make sure we bypass another misunderstanding.
  12. Ultrakool liked a post in a topic by Tazermarks in Save Our Community
I'm very saddened to say this, but this community's vibe is going downhill from my perspective. There is a lot of turbulence between the people that "can't wait" to play, and the people who can currently play/developers. This community should embrace all of their members, not just the one's with their same perspective. If a person wants to take a poll (Which they should have set up right), then by all means, let them set up a poll. There is no reason he should get a bad reputation, and repetitive haggling about how it's not ready... a simple yes or no as his initial post would have been fair. He meant no harm, and he now has a bad reputation just for setting up a post.
I've been watching this project for a long time, and the hostility has grown between those who support the devs (including the devs/mods) and the more impatient ones. We need to come together as a community, and start building each other up, no matter our different views, rather than tearing each other down. The broken record of "the game will be released" isn't working. Lets get back to our roots with this project and come together for a common goal of getting the skylords back up and running, but lets do it while enjoying each other's presence, no matter our perspectives.

I asked the same in discord. And the answer was that, there are many of those threads / topics already open for everyone, and they contribute their ideas there. Something like that ^.^
EDIT: I still also think this should go to the public area tbh :-)

Don’t you maybe wanna Open this up for the public? It might be something fun for them to contribute towards while waiting for OBT.
(haven’t discussed with the team purely my own opinion)
Also I’m not sure if you did check out there has been many threads about quests/achievements maybe you’ll find some ideas there

    Greetings Skylords, Skyladies and Skyfolks!
Throughout the past few weeks we have noticed increasingly negative comments and remarks with regards to Skylords Reborn, its progress and its development time. Accusations of us scamming supporters are made on a daily basis, and while that is simply false in every aspect, we do understand that a lot of you have major concerns and are worried about the project, whether it's still a thing, whether we have run off with Patreon funds, and where we are right now after 3 years of development. Don't worry, though! We live, and as you will soon find out, we are doing well and are going nowhere!
The thing is, and beta testers know this, that we are actually making a lot of progress to the point where we are busy stress testing the servers with the Closed Beta testing group, improving server stability and creeping closer to Open Beta with every single test. And by the Old Gods, it took a while to get here. A lot of you have an idea of how long a game development cycle can take, and so it is only understandable that 3 years seems like an awful lot just to bring a game back. However, it's a lot more complicated than that due to this being a passion/voluntary project that we don't get paid for, and finding/fixing bugs being way more complex due to us not having made the client code at all. This makes it an unpredictable process in which we can't set deadlines or promise fixed release times. For a more detailed explanation, refer to the quote below from the Open Beta Information thread:
Rest assured, we are happy to inform you that we don't want to make money from this project (even if we wanted to, it would be illegal), and that your support is not in vain. Supporting the project is also completely voluntary, and we do not give any game rewards to patrons at all. Thanks to every single one of you who has been having faith in this project and supporting us by being a thriving and friendly community, we have managed to come a long way in 3 years, in which we faced managerial issues, legal complications, several server rewrites, and a lot of swapping regarding staff and partnerships. Our team right now is very solid and progressive, though, and we're getting closer and closer to that glorious Open Beta. We are reaching important testing milestones, which is fantastic. For example, @Kubik has evaluated our latest Closed Beta Stress Test, which was held yesterday. He has collected the following results:
For more details on the stress test results, there will be an update on our Developer Platform soon!
"What does all this mean?" you may wonder. In essence, it means that we are ironing out some of the last bugs in the current server code (as far as we can see), are getting further in making 12-player maps work properly, and the server is currently able to handle quite some players at the same time. In other words, progress, progress, progress! Keeping this in mind, we would like to give you the following information:
    Something BIG is coming.
Though we will not be reaching a full open beta state just yet, something large and important will be coming to the Skylords Reborn community in the near future. To present this and to provide you with details on this big development milestone, we will be announcing a new, important official stream very soon, so stay tuned!

Hopefully this update will clarify things and ease away some of the major concerns you may all be having regarding the project. Be sure to check the forums, discord or other social media for the stream announcements, and for weekly updates about all the progress we are actively making, check our Developer Platform!
Thank you all again for your undying support and dedication to the project and the game, and we hope to bring all over 21 THOUSAND of you Skylords, Skyladies and Skythings (*GASP*) more great progress and updates in the near future!

@Ladadoos @John Awesome! New dev members = more progress. Do your best and thanks for your work.
@Chibiterasu Removing tokens was a good thing to do. The only reason for them where micro transactions so why should they remain. I played a lot and never had any issues to get all the points without grinding them so every player who is interested in the game shouldn´t have any problem with this change at all. But for beginners it´s easier to obtain enough stuff for the upgrades without being forced to play lot´s of rpve or high level rpve.
You want to play the game with as few changes as possible to the original?
    There are two giant changes:
    1. It´s all free to play and it will only life by it´s community
    2. The people running this game now realy care for the game the reason this game died was because there weren´t any changes (new maps, cards, quest ....... )
So i think this was a nice first step onto the right path.

    Hello Skylords
It has been some crazy weeks for us on the development side, and we're making huge progress everyday, thanks to all our testers! There's sooo much going on right now that we can't tell you about in the current state the things are, but the next official stream we're planning is nearby!
Also I'm taking a moment to let you know, we have 2 new arrivals in the team! As Client Developers which are @Ladadoos and @Zyna Congratz to both of them!
They've been really helpful since the past months, that we decided to add them officially in the team, they'll work on everything related to the client. Thanks to them, you'll notice when you'll play the game, QoL (Quality of life) improvements, new features etc..
Also, some of you may remember "Tokens" that used to be here to buy upgrades in the past, as we said a few times, this system was a pure mess for us, and really not relevant, and there has been discussions about it being removed. So here's a quick preview (WIP) of the modifications we've made alongside Ladadoos and John, and now golds are being used for that matter.

Thanks everyone, and see you soon in the forge! ♥

    Hey guys,

today I was in the mood to play around with the map editor and thought to share my result with you. Maybe it will also revive the mapping section a bit ;)
Tell me what you think about it.
It has no special purpose like a pvp or pve map. It's just a scenery :)

@Eviatar10 You say "Don't get me wrong pal" and "I want to remind you man that you still appreciate your work guys and i believe you do your best" but from others perspectives, some may find the tone of your post to be a little confrontational. I'm talking about stuff like: "this Method of you guys , is that look normal to you pal ?" is meant as a theoretical question and insinuates that since its our "method" we do it on purpose and that's not a normal thing to do. You responded to @Luki for linking all those dates of other games that you claim you dont care for, so why did you ask "Have you ever seen a game , promised to release a month after a month and consistently and repeatedly fails its fans down?" if you didn't want an answer? Seems like another theoretical question for which you purport to know the answer of, and when someone actually gives you evidence and answer to your questions, you respond negatively to that. General things like "Dont take me for a fool" has very negative connotations and also abit accusatory and confrontational like I mentioned. If you "dont think they fooled us with dates" why in your original post you said "stop making false dates"?
Overall of course in regards to the forum rules you are not breaking any, and accordingly no official action was taken, but that doesnt mean that people will not see or feel the negativity in your post and downvote or upvote based on their own opinions or beliefs of how the upvote and downvote system should be used. And thats how the system is designed. Overall, the content you shared in your post has a good sentiment to it, and in the end we did listen to that, but you could have carried the message in a better way.
