I think this is ending soon?

Also, I think you should NOT use "05.02.2022" formatting (I almost ignored this thinking that this doesn't end until MAY 2nd and that would be wrong).  Also if you can add (GMT+/-???) on time (I know I some times wait until very last time). So something that looks like this: 23:59 (GMT+1???) Feb. 5, 2022

While timezone information could be useful, day-month-year formatting is a standard in Europe. As far as I remember approximately ~60% community is German, and vast majority of players come from Europe, so it does makes sense to use to use the most widely frequent formatting.

I guess Kapo will generally accept submissions until 23:59 CET (which is most used timezone), perhaps he will update the information today.

Good point, though. It's always safer to name the month than give it as number.

I did not know those stats on the community and honestly I think the chances of these things mattering are pretty slim even if that were not the case. Still, it is fairly low effort so thought I mention it.

I am going to try to start a religious war and say the only valid format is YYYY-MM-DD (so that it sorts property)! 😛

Agreed. I adopted "FEB" and added the timezone. Thanks for the feedback, cause the way it is written may lead to unnecessary confusion, especially for players from the Americas.

My bad for not noticing this issue. I've had the discussion like a year ago already (another group) and it didn't cross my mind. 🐒

Back then we've agreed on CEST, but a 'global' event like this should definilt use GMT or UTC. As well as a universal date format with written out months.

Hello again Skylords, Skyladies and other Skybeings; The contest is over, and it's time to announce the winners!

But first, I’d like to thank everyone for making the Crappy Community Contest #2 happen – no matter in what way: participation, sponsoring prizes, spreading the word or helping me to organize it. Of course, the extra-special-thanks goes to Mynoduesp, who did a fantastic job on the map.

In total, we reached a total number of 92 participants – thanks to the Skylords Team for sponsoring the code CCC2_SAVE-THEF-ORGE

Here are the fastest Skylords of CCC #2:

1st place          00:54.4       RadicalX
2nd place         01:00.7       Treim
3rd place          01:00.7       Donaar
4th place          01:04.3       Dolewan
5th place          01:05.2       Juntti
6th place          01:05.5       Hiko
7th place          01:05.5       Wanky
8th place          01:06.7       Dutchy
9th place          01:08.2       Arabika
10th place        01:08.2       Pritstift

Short reminder: Three times two entries have been exact the same, and as written down in the rules have been decided on who submitted the entry earlier. If your Sherlock Holmes-mind kicks in that this is highly unlikely to be a coincidence, I agree. I will investigate and post something about that in the next days, either with answers how this happens or with more questions.

As an additional information for those who are interested, RadicalX went through the Bandit camp and killed the Stonekin Warlord (details about that see below), the fastest submission that took the other route (Stonekin camp / Twins boss) was Juntti’s 5th place, so both sides had the potential for a top time in the ranks.

Winners of the Random Draws:

Draw 1      Killbuster        Infect
Draw 2      Lans               Church of Negation
Draw 3      Donaar           Overlord
Draw 4      Nmy               Brannoc
Draw 5      Tinuvien         Juggernaut
Draw 6      Dolewan         Worldbreaker Gun
Draw 7      McRibwich     Grinder R
Draw 8      Damo             Shrine of War

Draws for 9-13 for 1 General Booster each: itap, Jaroddampsey, houkai, Nyakyua, Hrdina_Imperia

I will send you the prizes as soon as possible through ingame mail.

One of the challenges of the CCC2 – like on every new map – was to gather information how it works and make use of that. Of special interest is the shadow crystal in the Bandit Camp, because it grants Deathwish to all heroes:

deathwish.png.c6093b8ed37dbda5ae7973684b56741a.png

Deathwish can be stacked multiple times to kill the Boss fast, but it is also extremely useful in clearing out units when combined with Brannocs “Power of the Forge”-ability. So the faster you access it, the better, so you can start stacking for the boss earlier. Viridyas passive healing is the right tool to compensate for the life loss of stacking it multiple times.

One extremely fast method to kick buildings is, of course, Mo’s Stampede. Many of you charged into the camps – the ability keeps Mo going forward until its damage potential caps out. Much of the damage taken is usually soaked up by the walls, but, if you hit the wall with a normal melee attack first to bring down its health, there is a chance that a perfectly placed Stampede will not only kick down the Wall and the Artillery, but also the Shadow Crystal.  From here on you can start to stack Death Wish for the boss very, very early and also infuse Brannocs “Power of the Forge”.

All this together leads to a scenario where you don't need Jorne to fight the camp much at all, but leave the camp pretty early and await the Stonekin Warlord right at the gate.

In conclusion

Thanks again to all who helped to make this happen. CCC #3 has already been discussed with the Event Managers, and will be something completely different, far far away from the realm of 'fastest time wins' – but before that we will see some other events.

If you have a crappy idea for future CCC's you may share and discuss that with me, maybe you can host your own Crappy Contest! Feel free to contact me anytime. If you want to discuss or host a non-crappy contest, contact our Event Managers Hiko and/or Metagross. They are super supportive and will help you to organize your event!

Hope you enjoyed the contest, I see you in the Forge!
