Please consider adding all beginner decks (Stonekin and Bandits) to Beginner in-game deck tab next to Tutorial decks, so that they cannot be deleted and can be always acccessed.

Sometimes I would like to review beginner / free cards and decks and work around with them, but since I deleted them early, I have no longer access to have a look at them. I am mostly familiar with cards and it's probably available somewhere at forum.
However, I'd find it nice to be able to switch to beginner decks from in-game tabs, and have some starting point other than tutorial deck for beginners who mess with their deck and make it unusable.

Probably a bit stupid request, please forgive me.

A summary of this announcement is written at the bottom.

Greetings Skylords, Skyladies and other Skyfolk!

Over the past two months project progression has considerably slowed down and it has become apparent that the community is in need of a status update. This announcement aims to provide said status update, where we discuss what has happened the past few months, what the current status of the project is, what some of the roadblocks are and how we plan to alleviate them, what we are currently focusing on and what our plans and expectations are to move forward. We also take a more in-depth look at the current roadmap for new cards and card balancing, and newly added staff members.
General project state and current plans
Let us start by going back more or less 1 year. At that moment @Ladadoos and @Zyna were still only client developers and the only server developer, Kubik, had just left us. With no foreseeable new server developer and the server being in a very unstable state, Ladadoos and Zyna decided to step up and become server and client developers. For the next few months they worked many hours per day to fix as many game related issues as possible and bring the gaming experience to an enjoyable state so that Skylords Reborn could finally release. This lead to the project reaching an unsustainably high update throughput, likely giving false expectations for parts of the community for the future. Just before the project released the only two administrators, InsaneHawk and MrXLink, also stepped down from their role. The lack of a leading role started to show and considering Ladadoos and Zyna had the most involvement in the project at the time they stepped up to also become administrators. As a step in the process of re-structuring the team and improving work efficiency, we noticed that there was a clear need for extra designers. Game design has always been behind and with release coming, we needed to finish design decisions quickly. That is when @ImaginaryNumb3r joined which helped immensely and, alongside other designers, we were able to get game design to an acceptable state for release.
On December 18th, 2020 Skylords Reborn released. With this milestone achieved we decided to shift more of our attention to ensuring our servers properly handle the hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of concurrent players and to start implementing our first ever card balance changes! With the help of ImaginaryNumb3r, Zyna and the discord balancing server we released our first big card balance change on 1st of January, 2021. This was followed by a couple of extra updates, after which the project progression greatly decreased. ImaginaryNumb3r had to spontaneously spend a lot more time at his real-life job and Zyna and Ladadoos had to catch up with university duties like bachelor and master thesis. In the meantime other staff members have also had it busier than usual.
This leads us to where we are now. Two months without game updates and a community without a clear idea of the current state of the project. In the past few weeks we have internally discussed project health and team structure and decided to use the little time we currently still have into adding more team members to the project and improving code and workflow documentations. This process takes a lot of time which unfortunately comes at the cost of even slower game progression. Ever since we made our open staff applications page we have had many new applications come in and a lot of time has been spent processing them. Our goal is to expand the team such that we try to minimize the chances the project hits a complete halt again and as a result you can expect the team to grow in the upcoming weeks/months. We recently also added three new roles (discord moderators, community manager and event organizer) alongside the existing ones, which should improve the current project state. Feel free to have a look!
Faction design and new staff members
That being said, today we are most happy to announce the future for card balancing and potential new cards in Skylords Reborn. To us, card balance is of critical importance to provide new experiences and allow for greater deck building freedom in the game. To accelerate this process we are proud to announce that we have established a team of 5 people which are dedicated to improve the overall gameplay and deckbuilding experience.
With the introduction of this new team, we have created 2 new official titles:
     - Faction Designer: They explore the design space for card changes and create specifications which will be implemented.
     - Balance Developer: They implement features which were designed by Faction Designers or fix bugs of different sorts. They will also help map making in the future by adding new map specific units like bosses.
In other words: faction designers design the cards and balance developers implement them.
The team consists of the following members:
    - @RadicalX: Faction Designer with PvP focus
    - @WindHunter: Faction Designer with PvE focus
    - @Chibiterasu: Balance Developer
    - @Razeroc: Balance Developer
    - @ImaginaryNumb3r: Lead Faction Designer
    Expectations and steps moving forward
Experience has shown that working on balance and faction design is too work intense for just one developer at a time. As such, it goes without saying that you can expect more frequent balance iterations with card changes which won't only address balance, but also bugfixes and quality-of-life changes. Furthermore, we want to use our new resources for improved communication and greater transparency in terms of card and faction design.
Card changes are important steps to make the game more fun, but because there are so many ways one can adjust cards good design is everything. For PvE in particular our ultimate goal is to strengthen the identity of each faction (pure elements and hybrid factions) and give them their own signature playstyles. But for now, our efforts are best spend on cards which don't require a mechanical rework to make viable (like the Mutating Maniac buff). And for PvP, our new development resources allow our expert group (a group of hand-picked community members that help with design) to make faster progress and make more tests. In the future you can expect more detailed short and long-term goals for card balancing.
That is it for now. Thanks for your continued support the past few months and we look forward to what the future brings us!

    Summary
Developers and designers are very busy with real-life jobs and university. New open staff roles were made here as an attempt to keep the project progressing. These rules include discord moderators, community manager, event organizer, developers, designers etc. A lot of time is currently spent reviewing applications and making it easier to integrate new staff members. @Chibiterasu and @Razeroc were recently added to staff and are responsible to implement card changes designed by the new faction designers @RadicalX and @WindHunter. This should greatly speed up card/faction balancing.

    Volin

----------------------------------------------------------------------------auto translated due to lazyness ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Hello Barul and welcome,
before I respond to your questions, I would like to briefly point out that every post in this forum should be available in English, at least in a translation. Of course, a conventional translator is perfectly adequate for this purpose. A great English-German (and vice versa) translator that I can highly recommend is https://www.deepl.com/translator.
This brings us to your first point: I think due to the forum rules such a - longer exchange - makes little sense in this forum. But if everything is translated (so that no one feels excluded) then of course there is nothing against it.
Are you referring to the community aspect, or the server aspect? Based purely on the current player numbers, I personally suspect that Skylords Reborn (SR) will remain more of a lover's title, the player base will become more manageable rather than increase dramatically - I suspect.
With community projects, the longevity is of course always very difficult to foresee, but here I would be confident that the servers will now run for at least a few years, just because of the work that was invested here. However, I would not expect too much new content. I see this freely after the motto: Cool to be able to play the game again, everything that still comes is "bonus".
But you can't lose anything for the time being, like in EA times.
On the subject of Patreon: If you see this as a donation/thank you, then the devs are certainly happy about any support (I am a Patreon supporter). But I warn everyone not to bring claims here.

    Many greetings

    Hello fellow skylords!
I often see people hating on pure decks for the expert maps, with this post I wanna share my love for fire
Soon I will upload at least one replay for every expert map with pure fire, some solo and some duo versions.
This replays contain casual gameplay, no optimized runs so there will be some fails, please dont hate me
Special thanks to Keksmonsta and Kendrikson who will be my mates in most of the duo runs.
    Have fun with the replays,
    Anske

I think it's preferable to focus on the actual functionality of the site.
It is not supposed to be a cardbase, it's supposed to give data on the AH.
As such, if anything, it needs to be made as "patch proof" as possible. As in, remove any information from the card previews that might likely get changed and isn't necessary.
Meaning: power cost, abilities, damage type and raw stats. Leave the name, rarity, type, orb requirements, edition and affinity. Some of these might get changed anyway but by streamlining the information on the cards the site becomes less prone of becoming out of date by patches. It would be a bunch of work now but less workload in the future.
Or just leave it as is. Again, it's not meant to be a cardbase in the first place so it's not that important if the infos are out of date. Up to Maze which option he can get around to.

And that also brings to mind what I think is a very good example.
I like to play a round of rpve from time to time without the perma-present wheel. Do I need a checkbox for that? No.
I open a game myself (the opener can define the "rules" of his game, in my opinion) and politely ask people not to play wheels. Works in 9 out of 10 matches without problems.

Well the issue that PvE rank does not reflect actual game knowledge is partly a thing because you associate certain skill with a certain old rank. But as the Xp requierements have been massively reduced for the highest rank (~90%) same should hold true for your expectation.
Also deck level has never been a reasonable indicator for game knowledge.
Secondly a big portion of players are veterans that do not want to play every map on the lowest difficulty once, before finally unlocking expert (saves a lot of time for the achievement for instance if u complete all 3 difficulties at once).
Thirdly I can recommend you not to blame single cards but take action yourself:
    a) utilize decomposer: If all your teammates are supposedly just mindless feeders, simply ask them to do what they do best and decompose their stuff to get t4 urself and clear with ease
    b) Instead of assuming their skill based on vague indicators like rank or deck level, ask them in chat before the game if they know what they have to do and if they done it before
    c) Ask in global chat for experienced players and their help
    d) or spend 5 minutes to search online for videos/guides on crusade and u get plenty of info afterwhich u can do the map alone in the given time
Lastly, why do you need a checkbox to run w/o Amii Momument, simply remove it from your deck. Crusade can be done in all-time-record speed without amii monument anyway.

Once you reach the center, you can spawn a parasite swarm and steal the Twilight Horror at the 3 well/ 1 orb cluster directly north of the Position 1's second well on the way to the center. If you send a swiftclaw with the parasite swarm and kill the spawn hut right there you can build the 3 wells and orb safely (You don't even need to kill the Hatecaster tower). Nothing will attack that position as long as you don't leave any units or buildings next to the cluster itself. The same strategy works with the well/orb cluster directly north of Position 2's northern walls. You can steal the Vileblood with Parasite swarm then with aid clear the surrounding buildings. Again, you can build the well/orb cluster and it will be safe from any attacks as long as you don't leave any units/buildings nearby.
In terms of defense, the primary goal is to defend the first wave of Urzach's Guardians, this is an existential moment. I'd recommend not building more than 1 well + t2 orb in the center and 1 well at the top-right cluster before this. Wells take 200 seconds (3.33 minutes) to pay off and this happens around the ~7=8 min mark. Its more efficient to just spam towers, then build the wells afterward. Spamming Living Towers around your center well cluster should work. Literally just spawn them in a circle around your orb, with a root nexus (b) to make them more tanky. After this your next major issue is the Twilight Dragon that spawns around 13:30-14:00 from the southwest. A second spawns around ~18min I believe, again from the southwest.
You should ignore the priests as a mechanic when soloing the map. Grab the well/orb clusters I mentioned/circled, then proceed to the square I outlined. From there you can clear to Urzach. 7-8 Giant Wyrms are sufficient to focus Urzach down from the cliff below him with spell support, but you can also clear normally with help of Grimvine/Forest Elder, just watch out for the seemingly infinitely spawning Twilight Dragons that appear when you start attacking Urzach.

  12. Volin liked a post in a topic by MephistoRoss in Looking for a solid Construct deck!
I would change the orbs to Frost T1 Shadow T2/3 Nature T4 so you'd have access to the shadow spells and void manipulation in T3. This is the deck I built:

I have added Overlod as a secundairy T4 unit to kill flying enemies (also use spells for this) and to be able to Nether warp the constructs to them when the constructs get too far behind. You could also consider Lost spirit ships for killing flying units and alround damage.
If you still want T2 to be nature then I would use mountaineer in T2 with some nature spells:
(I dont have Mountaineer myself so I used razorshards)
I would suggest not to use Coldsnap btw because it reduces the damage you do to enemies and it is quite expensive.

Soultree Expert - 10 Cards Nature Budget Deck
Contains only Shaman (that a Nature player buys anyway) and Spikeroot (70-90 bfp), the rest is not worth mentioning.
If you are not on a Budget, add Amii Monument, Parasite Swarm and Shrine of Memory instead of Swamp Drake, Wyrm and Noxious Cloud and you can Farm it in ~13-14 Minutes with 10 Cards consistently.

    Hi Guys,
I played a few rounds of Blight the last couple of weeks and i wanted to at least start this guide while some of my replays are still watchable. Since I'm stupid I forgot to safe half the replays I played so far, but this guide will be updated by me whenever I produce a decent replay I'd like to share.

So for a start I recommand the Blight-Tutorial done by Dallarian (thank you sir!) here which has some theoretical explanation and graphics which i would have been way too lazy to do myself.
For further ado, heres the Blight-Tutorial by Treim/Wanky/Pritstift/Lebovin (insert Link here x) which has a good amount of general information aswell and even shows some shadow phoenix tactics + the infamous Batariel-rush at bottom left position.

All replays I upload here show complete clears in time, no defending and no shinanigans with phoenix or amii-monument.
Sometimes (as pointed out by Anske) I use a splash on t3 for "pure" decks, since I'm missing those super expensive xl units like Juggernaut/Spitfire in fire.
When I get those cards at some time I'll maybe update those replays (but i recommand splitting on t3 anyway, since pure fire is BAD, here, I said it.)

Feel free to contribute replays I did not cover so far

    So here are the replays:

Here is the link to the site: http://www.smj.cards/

Please note, that I haven't bought a SSL Certificate yet, so https://www.smj.cards/ won't work, and the site is marked as not secure, but since it's just a reference to the hosting link, there shouldn't be an issue. If you would rather use a "secure" link, you are still able to use https://smj.herokuapp.com/ which my domain points at.
