Hello Skyladies, Skylords and other Skybeings,

Over a year has passed since our successful bandit hunt, but unfortunately we have to ask for your help once again.
It seems that some of the unopened gold chests have been taken away by some Stonekin scum, it is of utmost importance to secure them as quickly as possible.
 

 
So What is the Task?
It is almost like the bandit hunt – it was simple, it was fun – let’s do that once again:
play rPvE/Battlegrounds 4player, Map of the Month, difficulty 9 only pure color decks are allowed every player has to play a different color open every gold chest on the map be as fast as possible (map completion) no legendary/neutral cards allowed this time your replay must be a victory  
How Can I Participate?
The contest is running from now on until the 26.03.2023 - 23:59 CET

You just have to send in your best replay, including the player names and the time, to @Volin either via PM or preferably via Discord (Volin#8101).

Please name your Replay in the format: Mins_seconds_Player1_Player2_Player3_Player4.pmv (Example: "13_37_Ultralord_nukie_Kapo_Volin.pmv")
If your team has a name for meme, or whatever reason, just let me know via PM. It is important that all members of the team agree!
It is enough that one player of the group sends me the replay!

The prizes are per person, only your highest place will be rewarded:

1st Place:            8 general Boosters
2nd Place:          7 general Boosters
3rd Place:           6 general Boosters
4th-5th Place:    5 general Boosters
6th-10th Place:  3 general Boosters
11th-50%:          1 general Booster
All remaining boosters from the ranking rewards will go to a random draw, those ranked below the top 50% will be entered into the draw first! Once every player below the top 50% has won a booster EVERY participant will be entered into a booster draw for any remaining boosters.
@Bengel Sponsored 2.500 BFP. Those will be split into 5*500 BFP that will be drawn in the lower 50%.

In addition I will reward any contest related meme that is send to me with an additional booster if we think it is good enough to share it in the stream!
When Will The Winners Be Announced?

The winners will be announced via a Twitch stream co-hosted by Ultralord and me! The stream will include at least the fastest three runs, quiz questions (with prizes!) and some interesting data from the event.

- Can we also participate with a team of less then 4 players?   -> Yes, of course you can, just stick to the rules as they are and you are fine!

See it exactly the same!

Fire lets you work together over the 4 starting positions and no other color comes close to that. Yeah Shadow rewards with early RB, what is a HUGE advantage if executed correctly, but that is rather a speedrunners topic imo. Even more as it helps vastly to know the map to utilize the Shadow start perfectly.

Also I share your inventory on Nature starts, yes they can be helpful in very certain situations, but here you also have a big advantage to know the map in advance (and utilize that as a team). Plus this comes with the downside that either the Nature starter needs to be bombed through with the help of Fire players or is way slower in a scenario where time is pressing even if you are not speedrunning at all. Plus you have less firepower for the other 3 fire-starters. Just to mention that.

That is the reason why all solid 10 players usually choose a Fire start for random matches. As soon as we are speaking about motm/speedrun things may change ofc.

One more reason for fire starts: Even if you have 4 really good players, every few matches one of them will missplay slightly and need some help, there's so many things that can go wrong in a BG10   T1 phase. Happens to all of us. Here you need fire starters or the player that made a mistake is blown from the map.

And just to stress this out once again: Of course any color is viable, even more in perfect teams. Kybaka for example plays sometimes an excellent frost start. Seen Treim starting with any colour or a group around Donaar and Gameover played 10s even with a pure frost setup over the whole team. That is totally possible, but for above reasons nothing that is ever suiting in a random group.

Same goes by the way for the rest of the deck ^^ Yeah ofc you can play almost any faction (with small exceptions) in 4 player 10s. But it will lower your win-rate drastically as certain situations are not possible when not some quite meta decks are around.

2.  10s are not casual content at all?

For sub 12 you can run buffed Batas, pure Fire or Bandit Decks with either 2/2 orbs or 3 shadow 1 fire, driven by BH and Emberstrikes.
Even "classical" BH Decks should be very fine. Not sure about Banzais, they are super strong, but perhaps too slow, idk.

If you want to do sub10 things get quite special. You need a team of very experienced players, good coordination and a suiting map. Then probably you want to have a certain mix of above or all going Bandit. 1-2 Players having Plauge may help, tons of spells, most early SoW and more.


I share this perhaps, even if I perform SUUUUUUPER bad, this is a showcase of a sub10 run (quite at the beginning)

We're excited to bring you a new update that addresses some recent issues. Specifically, we've tackled some bugs related to our leaderboard achievements, which now properly use the current month's data. Any rewards you may not have received were rolled out retroactively. Additionally, we've fixed the forge lags that were causing performance issues for some players. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you enjoy this update!

General Changes
Added an option for players to re-roll the same quest multiple times. The minimum quest reward after re-rolls is now 50 BFP. If a player has excess quests, the quest with the most re-rolls will be reset to zero. The achievements "A Need For Speed" and "Gotta Go Fast" now display the seconds for best time in their tooltips. A new type filter for achievements has been added, with options "All", "One Time", and "Endless". The "Endless" checkbox has been replaced with this new filter.
 
General Fixes
Leaderboard achievements now use the current month's data, rather than last month's. Last month's rewards will be granted retroactively on March 1st. The leaderboard reward period now starts at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of each month, instead of the 31st of each month. The achievement for completing rPvE quickly now completes correctly after reaching the last milestone. The context menu now appears when right-clicking on all areas of a player banner. The name tooltip for players in the leaderboard now updates correctly when changing pages. The achievement "Too Heavy to Carry" now has a description in Russian. Fixed lag in the Forge that was causing performance issues.

Hello fellow Skyladies and Skylords!
It is time to get another PvP tournament rolling! Who are the strongest players out there? Who prepared some fancy tricks on the new patch? We will find out! Any player is very welcome to join, regardless of your skill level! 


Tournament Date and Stream
On Sunday 5th March starting at 14:00 p.m. CEST (Berlin time). 
A live stream covering the tournament will take place on my twitch.tv channel https://www.twitch.tv/radicalx5. Streaming will start around 13:30 p.m. CEST (Berlin time). I will use the stream to communicate with the players, so be sure to join the stream to be notified of last minute updates. Everyone is welcome to hang out and watch the action as well!
 
Sign up 
The tournament brackets will be on challonge, so register and join the tournament there using the button below. Deadline will be the start of the tournament, but please sign-up in advance if possible! Reply in this thread if you have questions, I will answer them as soon as possible.

Use your Battleforge name for the tournament. If your Challonge account differs from your Battleforge account name, use the "Sign up with an alternate name" feature or change your name for the tournament in the settings. Finding your opponent will be a LOT easier this way.
 
Format
The tournament will be played as a 1on1, Best of 3, double elimination tournament, meaning if you lose a set, you move to the lower bracket and can still make the finals! Grand finals will be bo5, no bracket reset, but game 1 map choice for the player coming from the winnerbracket.
 
Prize Pool
I tried to place rewards so that almost every series matters, regardless whether you are playing losers bracket R1 or grand finals! The total price pool will roughly range from 40.000 bfp up to 75.000 bfp. The more players join, the more prices will be headed out. Big shoutouts to MadDoggo and MrDanilov, who helped making this possible with massive donations. 
1) Every participant will win one random card, which is at least rare! With some luck you might even catch something bigger! 
2) Every player, who wins at least a single bo3, will earn 3 boosters!* 
3) Furthermore there will be random draws for a Promo Fallen Skyelf on top of that. Even if you lose in both rounds you will be eligible for the reward as long as you played your matches. 
4) The following winner prizes will be added on top of the previously listed ones. 
Rank 1 - 7 Boosters + Promo Construct
Rank 2  - 6 Boosters + Infect
Rank 3 - 5 Boosters 
Rank 4 (Locked until we hit 8 players) - 4 Boosters
Rank 5-8  (Locked until we hit 16 players) - 3 Boosters
Rank 9-12 (Locked until we hit 24 players) - 2 Booster
Rank 13-16 (Locked until we hit 32 players) - 1 Booster
5) The audience reward: You can join some competition even without actively playing. There will be some quizzes during the stream and you can earn some big prices there from a 10.000 bfp pool. 
*Blessing in disguise: If you end up being matched with one of the 2 highest rated (base elo) players in round 1, just playing all of your games will also make you eligible for the 3 Boosters. 
 
Rules (read this if you want to participate!)
• Disconnection during a game results in a default loss. If both sides agree, it is possible to have a remake.
• Not showing up to your match after 15 minutes results in a default loss. The plan is to play a round of matches every ~30 mins.
• After your match, go to Challonge and insert the result. That is done by clicking on your match and selecting the winner/stats. The brackets will be updated automatically.
• The Map Pool is: Haladur, Simai, Elyon, Lajesh, Uro, Yrmia and Wazhai (beware as this not the same pool as in ranked duel!).
• The first map to play on will be decided by the players alternately banning maps (grand finals are an exception with G1 mapchoice for the winnerbracket player). The first player to ban is decided at random (use the /roll function).
• After that it is the loser's choice
• The winning player (who won the previous match in the bo3) also has to lock in his deck first.
• The brackets for the tournament will be shuffled before the tournament starts!

I really dislike the current Bad Harvest Solo method - giving up your base is not worthy of a real Skylord. And while I came close to a new strategy, yet I am unable to get it really to work. I wasted way too much time on this, but I think it is possible for sure, so I'm setting up a bounty for someone who is able to send me a replay that meets the following criteria:
* Full solo, no other player joining for orbs/wells
* Expert difficulty
* Defend the starting base - do not lose an orb or well
* Must be repeatable - e.g. do not profit from a rare occurrence, like getting the units stuck on the wall way longer than usual
* Of course: win the map 😉
Disclaimer: I reserve the right to refuse an entry if anything goes against the spirit of the challenge - like, if I forgot to add a rule or condition. It's win the map + keep the base in any way you like, but I will not allow for any rule-lawyering. Also, if some heavy bug-use or exploit is involved, I may refuse the entry - I want to see a gameplay solution similar to the Codebreaker Achievement, not a shady trick 😃
Also, by entering the Bounty, you accept that your entry (replay) will be made public.

If I get inpatient, I may add more BFP to the bounty, but I think for someone who is an excellent player, it's worth investing an hour or two to see if they can do it. Also, if you invest some SERIOUS time, please send the replay anyway to me, I may reward you with some BFP and make it public, so others can develop from that point on further.

IT WORKS ! ofc its lil bad after every single game to press K or whatever , but it works finally something that will keep good feelings up !

Just read on discord that pausing the forge ("K") may probably works as a workaround here to reduce lags
