Yeah, sadly the bigger patches break old replays. Since there is a maximum amount of decks you can have I already deleted the decks I played for most campains, but maybe I will redo all the maps again soon and then add the used decks under each replay.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds to me like you are kinda "new" in skylords reborn and think mostly about the old battleforge.
A lot of things that you mention, like the enlightment bata deck, was already nerfed and the motivation to also play pure decks got way up, especially for fire and nature.
The skylords team already explained that they prefer buffing not so common decks instead of nerfing popular ones (for PvE), with for me 100% understandable reasoning, and they proved their point with a lot of buffs for pure fire and nature, and also some frost and shadow.
Of course you can still play whatever you like most, but as a fire player myself I would always prefer the last orb to be nature or fire before shadow, since the sustain and cc of nature, or the big damage buff of batarial p are of more value to me then buffing up a single firedragon (when you have like 4 of them anyway). You talk about bata being nerfed, but the changes to the purple one was actually a huge buff for pure fire. Moloch ist of course more of a niche pick and not great for rpve but its an incredible powerhouse in the right scenario, and fits fire extremly well, since you just tank everything while you destroy everything with spells (or fire dragons with unity). I am kinda surprised how you praise the thunderwagon, for me its probably the most useless t4 fire unit, but I guess with the shadow buffs it would actually make sense.
So all in all: If you compare the game right now to the old battleforge, the team actually worked on basicly every single point of yours, and made great progress already. For your hate to enlightment: That sounds a lot like a personal thing, if you dont like it you dont have to play it 😀. Had the same with Amii-Monument and still have it with basicly all colorless cards, you always have the option to ignore those.

I instaltly opened 8 twilight and 7 normal boosters when it came out. No luck 😞
Luckily my man @n3tax got 3 eyes out of like 12 boosters and shared some with me ❤️
Tested it out and works great for rpve, not the fastest deck but definitly super fun and very reliable. My strat: enlighten a forest elder then spam the eyes (and some skycatchers since the eye is not fully charged yet)

I thought the general idea of this kind of "sand" orb sounds great, but I was thinking about it in an other way:
If you play a t1 bandit card your first orb will be spawned as sand orb, that is a somehow unstable orb between fire and shadow.
With the sand orb you are able to play any bandit/fire/shaddow cards, but as soon as you play a fire or a shadow card, the sand orb transforms into its color, so you can only play shadow or fire cards along with your bandit T1 cards.
This way you could still go pure bandit, but are also able to fill with spells or fillers from one of the colors.
I have no idea if something like this would even be possible to programm, probably super complicated, but this is how I would implement this kind of mixed t1 orbs.

hmm the map kinda reminds me of a certain campaign map^^

Just play siege of hope for free boosters 🙂
Did I understand it right that at the end of each month the alltime first place will get rewarded? Or are you checking the records of each month individually? Because in my opinion the second one would be way more motivating for 95% of the players (like me, who will probably never beat a real speedrunner).
And another question: Will every multiplayer map get rewarded for each number of players individually like its listed in your ranking list? So for a 4-player map there could possibly be 10 winners?
-
I play since the release, always opening my free and pricereduced boosters, and also bought a lot extra. Even if I probably lost like 50k bfp with all of that I would still do it again, since opening boosters is just a huge part of the game for me 🙂
I am completly inactive in the market since I dont realy care about it. If I really need/want a specific card I just go to the marketplace and buy the cheapest one, if I cant afford it I play with more of a budget deck and wait till I have the bfp.
Now I have all cards at least once, but the most on 4 charges and only 3 promos are missing.
Thanks to the reward system your collection will grow pretty steady anyway, no reason to stress that out.

My poor guy Rocket Tower getting shafted so hard. I personally find it good, though I get it can get outclassed by the Pyromaniac? Dunno, never used that one.
Yes, sadly the rockettower underperforms in most situations. The idea of a multiattacking tower that knocks back small and medium units is great, but since it attacks very slow and has basicly no damage even that doesnt really help.
You could combine it with pyromaniac so you have a cc and a damage tower, but normally the pyromaniac is enough anyway and you dont want to spend 2 deckslots for that 🙂
9 hours ago, Dutchy said:Rocket tower is a good tower by design, buy very bad in practise. If the unit moves, 9/10 times the rocket will miss, making the tower very unreliable.
That could maybe get fixed with giving each towershot splash damage? Not sure if that would maybe even make the tower to op^^

With the last changes to the root netwok it got way easier to set up a great defense without wasting to many deck slots and units.
If you are looking for a T3 def, was is definitly the biggest strengh of root network you only need sylvan gate, thornbark and razorleaf, since 2 thornbarks are now enough to fully power up the razorleaf.
You can then build your deck around that with a strong nature T1, lots of CC and heals.
For T4 giantwyrm and regrowth is often enough, but stuff like forestelder or the other nature T4 units are pretty cool too 🙂

I just made an ocean expert replay for the PVE pro league, 43 min long and kinda exhausting.
I instantly submitted it before I tried to watch it again and it seems like the replay is broken.
It always crashes at exactly 0:03:18 with a message saying the replay desycned and I should contact the tech support.
So I am doing this, this is the replay 🙂
It won't be a problem to replay it, but if the next replay won't work either, it would get kinda frustrating.
Edit: After last patch the desync is even earlier now, around 0:00:52

Damn, even more buffs for my precious fire... If magmafiend wouldn't be so damn clunky with the attack animation it would actually be pretty good now i guess.
The Firesphere buff is incredible, I think it was already very strong since the last change.
Tower of flames was always good thanks to its active too, buffing the attacks is more like a quality of life change i guess. Like it very much!

On maps like Dwarfen Riddle you could reach T2 without any card being played out. You just had start with a teammate who left immediately. There was a bug where neutral orb + T2 allowed you to spawn 1 T4 card so you could play a Giant Wyrm right at the start. Hilarious bug, was fixed a very long time ago of course.
Yep, thats the one i meant 😄

I remember some kind of glitch where you could spawn giantwyrm at t1, cant remember the circumstances or the map but maybe he meant bugs like that sice hes not able to clear maps otherwise 😛

We are currently looking into some follow-up changes for Corsair, Sandstorm, Tortugun, Amok, and even Waystation. These likely will not have high priority (ie. likely not coming next patch) given how much love we have shown Bandits in recent patches, but once they are finished I think we will have achieved something pretty wonderful with the faction overall. In many ways, Bandits is an image of what we want to do with each faction. It contains multiple archetypes and has viable strategies for all levels of play.
Looking foward for it, i am a patient mind 🙂
Keep up the great work!

For me the biggest motivation boost were the achievments!
Since I mostly play cPvE there is limited content in BF so different challenges that limit the cards you can use in the campains make the game interesting again, especially if there are rewards for it. The 100k Gold reward for the fire questline felt kinda bad tho compared to the others.
On the other hand I was done with them within a few days, but since it filled up the forge again it made the whole game more interesting again.
Maybe it would be an idea to create some kind of seasonal achievment system (for like 2-3 months) to keep cPvE players coming back .
In my opinion the changes to the maps were not that noticable. It felt more like some quality of life changes then some gamebreaking news, I dont think they were really necessary but they dont hurt either.
Now to the new cards: I absolutly love what you guys did with bandits! Not only the Wasteland Terror, but also the Minefield, Banzai Lord and the Bandit Sniper feel super rewarding in what they are supposed to do. I always liked the bandit theme, but the gameplay was just missing something, I think the only kind of bad state from bandit units is now on t3 but that can be balanced with the very strong t3 of fire or shaddow.

Since my last pure fire campain replay collection is complety outdated I took the new patch (wich I really love) as an ocasion to do it again!
This will be an always repeating quest with every big update that destroys replays 🙂
Some runs have actually improved a lot, some were just terrible but i didnt want to repeat them...
Don't take it to serious, these are still casual runs! 😇

I dont know if it was on the forums or the discord, but we discussed somewhere that it would be nice to introduce new/different promos for completing all expert maps with pure colors. Think Promo Shaman for Nature, Promo Frost Mage for Frost etc.
So you can show off that you are a master of that faction. That take many players to new journies, mastering factions they didnt care much before. A carrot on a stick to try out new things, while not devaluating promos/making a big change to the current economy.
i want the promo skyfire drake for fire!
