I remember when I started playing with Nukie after he asked to have his account reset to do exactly what you described. It was interesting to see him play with weird random decks no void return for a long time because he didn't pull any shrines from boosters or reforging. Considering all expert maps can be beaten with super basic cheap cards, it's not an insanely hard challenge. Tbh I think the novelty wore off very quickly for Nukie 😄

There have been dedicated Rookie tournaments in the past and there will be more of them in the future. This one is an open tournament with just one division. The double elimination format is meant to give you a second chance to compete if you get kicked out early. There is still the chance to get two strong opponents in a row (happened to me countless times in Toggy's tournaments already), but that's just how it is sometimes.
I still encourage everyone to give it a shot and to also keep the eyes open for the next rookie tournament 🙂

What does this mean for deckbuilding?
Deck Rule 1:
Your deck has to consist of:
 4x T1 Cards
 4x T2 Cards
 4x T3 Cards
 4x T4 Cards
Deck Rule 2:
Your deck has to consist of:
 5x Units
 5x Buildings
 5x Spells
1x Wildcard (Can be one additional Unit, Building or Spell)
Deck Rule 3:
Your deck has to consist of:
 4x Fire Cards
 4x Frost Cards
 4x Nature Cards
 4x Shadow Cards
no neutral cards! (Moon, Rogan, etc.)
no mixed cards! (Twilight, Lost Souls, etc.)
Game Rule 1:
Every card in your deck has to be played at least one time.
Hint: You are allowed to switch orbs to play for example “Fire Dancer” with 2 Fire Orbs.
 
This sounds complicated, how do I check if my deck legitimate?

You can upload your replay and use one of two modes.
    -> “Cards Played” -> Checks which cards have been played within the replay and if the run conforms with the ruleset
    -> “Cards in Deck” -> Checks which cards are in your deck and if it conforms with the deck rules.
Hint: Start a match, wait 1 second and upload that replay to be certain, everything is within the rules.

15th-20th place:          100BFP
 

Fastest Player using a “overbalanced”-Deck gets a Promo Fallen Skyelf!
 

Top 4 Players using a “overbalanced”-Deck get one of 4 Shadow/Fire/Frost/Nature Booster.
 
There are 16 Cards in the random draw (only one per player). Place 11 and lower get priority.
So when all player lower place 10 got a card, player 1-10 could get their chance.

Hi @RNG Golvigstein I've sent you a DM

I just made an ocean expert replay for the PVE pro league, 43 min long and kinda exhausting.
I instantly submitted it before I tried to watch it again and it seems like the replay is broken.
It always crashes at exactly 0:03:18 with a message saying the replay desycned and I should contact the tech support.
So I am doing this, this is the replay 🙂
It won't be a problem to replay it, but if the next replay won't work either, it would get kinda frustrating.

What if I start when the season has already started?
Please feel free to join us at any time during the season, you will still be eligible for end of season, achievement and bonus challenge prizes. Late participants will not be able to make up for missed challenges and won't be able to use the 7 day late submission rule.
 
What is it?
Compete against other players of similar abilities and ranks in a series of challenges consisting of campaign, community and rPVE maps. All info about the challenges and rules can be found on our website HERE
 
Who can participate?
We have 3 league divisions, to determine which one suits you best each division is summarized here:
Rookie League - Restricted to newer players with PVE ranks 10 or below 
Pro League - Open to everyone PVE rank 11 or above, challenges will be at an expert level. It is suited for people who like completing difficult challenges without the pressure of racing against a clock
Masters League - Open to all however we highly recommend a minimum PVE rank of 13 because it requires speed and an in-depth knowledge of cards & maps. Masters league challenges are designed to be difficult; our objectives are designed to block most traditional speed running strategies so players will be required to think outside the circle.
League admins reserve the right to reallocate you to a different division if we feel your capabilities and skills does not fit the division you registered for.
 
What are the prizes?
There is a Swamp Drake, Fallen Skyelf, Lyrish Knight and Rogan Kayle promo up for grabs for division winners in addition to lots of other prizes. Please refer to the prizes section in the info tab on the website HERE
