Hello fellow Skyladies and Skylords!
Another 1on1 tournament, who will take the title this time?

When?
On Sunday 14.11.21 starting on 2pm CET (Berlin time), the stream will start about 30 minutes in advance.
 
Format
The tournament will be played as a 1on1 best of 3 double elimination tournament, grand finals will be best of 5, no reset.
The grand finalist coming from the winnerbracket will start with a win (1-0) already.

Prize Pool! (subject to change)
1st place  - 4 Booster packs
2nd place - 3 Booster packs
3rd place - 2 Booster pack
4th-8th place  - 1 Booster pack
Bounty: Beat radicalX in a set to gain 3 extra boosters.

Organisation and sign-up
The tournament brackets will be on Challonge, so register and join the tournament there.
Please use your in game account name to make communication and finding your enemy easier.

The streaming channel that will be covering the tournament is DasToggy on twitch.tv.

Rules (read this!)
• The Map Pool is: 1st round: Haladur, 2nd round: Simai, 3rd: Elyon, 4th: Lajesh, 5th: Uro and 6th: Yrmia (same pool as in ranked duel).
The first match of the round will be played on the fixed map, then it is losers choice. The winning player (who won the previous match in the bo3) also has to lock in his deck first.
• Disconnection during a game results in a default loss. If both sides agree it is possible to have a remake.
• Not showing up to your match after 15 minutes results in a default loss. The plan is to play a round of matches every ~30 mins.
• After your match, go to Challonge and insert the result. That is done by clicking on your match and selecting the winner/stats . The brackets will be updated automatically.
• The brackets for the tournament will be shuffled before the tournament starts.
• Use your Battleforge name for the tournament. If your Challonge account differs from your Battleforge account name use the "Sign up with an alternate name" feature or change your name for the tournament in the settings. Finding your opponent will be a LOT easier this way.

I remember that the class system confused me when i started playing BF. I had the feeling that there might be a counter mechanic i'm missing out on. Now it rather feels like something the original devs thought has to be in the game but then didn't put too many thought into.

One more to collect xD

Well this is gonna sound weird, but... one of my 2 most favorite maps is actually the introduction (wait what?!). Its the tutorial of the game, and i really enjoy a good tutorial in an rts game. Some games are just throwing you into the game without any directions for you. But this tutorial tells you everything, it even has a great ending since you also have to defeat a smol boss at the end. The whole layout of the tutorial map looks great, and i even sometimes wondered what it would be like if there was also 3 difficulties for that mission. It was a fun start to this game since you could already use one of the (at least back then when it was released) signature monsters, cause in every single wallpaper or background you could see the tremor, and here he was. I thought that was nice and also when you spot the boss for the first time i was like, damn that thing looks badass, wish there was a card from it, figured out weeks later there was a slight variation of it in the form of harvester. Maybe that also helped the fact that harvey was for a long time one of my most favorite cards.
When it comes to regular maps, i actually like nightmare shard a lot (another questionable pick). Its a map that already has some difficulty even on standard, a mission where you dont have as much power as in the other maps. It limited your ways of playing, cause you couldnt just spam units and overrun the enemy. Its difficult but in a good way.

So far it looks like its gonna be Mana-wing... pls nooo i dont want that chicken xD I prefer any card over that one. But oh well if its not gonna be the card i want, it doesnt mean its never gonna happen right? Maybe it wont be sunderer this time, but there is still hope after that.
This is a kinda Smash Bros situation were you hope that youre favorite fighter is gonna make it... but this time its about card reskins 😄

We have 5 options (restricted by fitting artwork we have available) and want you to vote for your favorite! Moloch and Skyelf Commander will receive buffs in the future, regardless of the vote.

After the topic of your favorite card, I (as a player, not community manager) am interested in your favorite map.
For me, Treasure Fleet will always have a special place in my heart. I remember playing it at the place of my ex, while she was at work on Saturdays. I wanted to beat it with a mono shadow deck (I think this was before Renegade Edition came out) and without any kind of map abuse. Took me soooo long, but really was worth it. I also have.. mixed.. memories of trying to beat Slave Master during the summer with her, with the added difficulty that after a while her laptop would overheat so we had to hurry or get disconnected. 
Present day, Im just a big fan of playing maps the way they were intended. I think Bad Harvest is quite fun. The only map I really dont like is Oracle, since the ending can be really punishing.

Quick hotfix for the rules:
Added rule: In Guns of Lyr, construction of buildings past the flames near the map border in the top left and bottom right corner is not allowed.
Explanation:
We will remove the ability to block buildings in this area in the next patch, but its currently not yet on the live server. There was some miscommunication regarding this, and it was never our intention for this map-abuse to be available for the event.
Even though it has only been a few hours, we do not take changing the rules lightly. We hope you understand and agree this will make for a more interesting event. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
