Statement about antivirus programs flagging Skylords Reborn as unsafe
Johnnybonny replied to Majora's topic in Announcements
Hi everybody. I played this game in my childhood, remembered it, and saw this project. I was very emotional, but seeing that the project is not even open source and with a lot of antivirus problems, I have to say I tried to install it, but the Windows Defender description being: "attackers can run programs on your device" is a no-go for me. I loved this game in my memories, but it's just not worth it to compromise my device with my hard-earned money. Please make the game open source before anything happens to these beautiful devs. Until then, I will just dream about the old days I played the game. Thanks for reading. -

Returning Player - Any Advice?
Metagross31 replied to kottadragon's topic in New Player Help and Guides
Best advice I can give is play the game and have fun 🙂 If you haven't played since the release yet, you probably didn't do any of the quests and achievements yet. They will give you lots of cards and boosters early on to kickstart your collection. Also, most campaign maps are very well doable on advanced difficulty, especially if you played back in the day and know a bit how the game works. If you fail, you can still fall back to standard difficulty any time. Expert maps often require specific strategies and/or map knowledge, so its best to start off with advanced imo. As Halloween stated, there is currently the fire season going on, so you get multiple limited time challenges, mostly revolving around fire cards, which grant some extra rewards. Also, there are official and community events going on almost all the time. You can find out what is currently going on or coming up in the events subforum: https://forum.skylords.eu/index.php?/forum/66-events-and-tournaments/ -

Returning Player - Any Advice?
This Is Halloween_2 replied to kottadragon's topic in New Player Help and Guides
It’s Fire season baby 🔥🔥🔥❗️ Yea so you should definitely get going on the fire challenges it’s great. We also got 2 official new maps, the map of the day feature, as well as infection. If you could tell us when you last joined, or what cards/decks you had, we could help you a bit more. I also enjoy you to come on discord for even more interaction with everyone. -

Coming back for the first time in a long while. It's been so long, I wasn't even sure if I had played after the game originally went down until the forum said my name was already taken. Does anybody have any tips and advice for a player who is more rust and a vague sense of nostalgia returning to an existing account?

I have some feedback on releasing the challenges in batches So the idea behind this is probably to make the playerbase focus on the same task within a month of time frame However my experience is kinda not this. Joined the last week of June, it was almost more torture to find a group for the challenge than to finish the map, since everyone was 'already over' with said challenges by the end of the month Upon releasing the new batch in july, most of the players try to finish it asap because of the hype and also not want to fall behind as said above, and just waiting for the new batch yet again The only thing left to do 80% of the month is the daily FOMO quest and spamming RPVE About RPVE repeatable challenge -> it is absurdly long, 720 points, when the average player hits RPVE 6 most of the time (2 points) means you have to perform 360(!) rounds of rpve. Sure you do not have to do this, but there are huge points allocated there to miss out on On other challenges you wanted to limit to playtime on each map max 2 times to be more variable, but we okay with doing 3 RPVE 6 per day for 120 days straight without missing a day?! Daily FOMO quest could also use some reserve type of mechanic, or a hint of the next day challenge if there are constant points tied to this in the long run And the last thing with the batches mechanic, it is impossible to tell if someone will able to do the unknown challenges of August for example, and if I grind hard this month just to get minimal points next month is kinda demotivating too, regards in getting Promo Sunderer (Sure you can buy later, but still) If the state of mind of season was to give every skill typed player a fair shot, than the batches system is a limiting factor for a huge crowd of hyped/skilled playerbase imo Also limits someone who cannot log in daily to the daily map If you do not plan to release the whole challenges in one go, at least there should be a way to unlock it in advance let's say if the previous batch is fully maxed out or something Or even just give a hint like what map or decktype will be needed for the future bacthes to keep theorycrafting a thing at least to maintain the hype

NAME: Oracle Mask description inconsistent with actual card behaviour DESCRIPTION: Oracle Mask provides a buff to buildings, which then buffs units near that building. The card says it works on allied buildings and allied units. But it actually works only on OWN buildings and allied units. Tested twice with different setups - a community member helped to verify. So either the card text is wrong, or the behaviour is bugged. Said community member told me that it used to affect allied buildings as well (I can't verify that statement). REPRODUCIBILITY: 100% (as far as I could test, see additional information). Steps to reproduce: go T3 in a game with at least two allied players build a small test setup: Oracle Mask building and a unit next to it. Both players do this, and send an additional unit to the allied building. activate Oracle Mask and see which units/buildings get buffed. SCREENSHOT/VIDEO: The following gallery contains replay screenshots of 3 different test cases (files are named accordingly), with selected units/buildings to check their buffs. ADDENDUM: Note that some of the screenshots show both players using Oracle Mask at the same time. This was by accident and doesn't change the findings described above. I'm too annoyed to create the screenshots again after spending 90 minutes on this report - my apologies. Instead, I added a saved replay of the test we did. https://postimg.cc/gallery/Cwq4x5x LOG: see attachment - I needed to compress the file because it exceeded the allowed maximum file size of this forum (original file is 6 MB) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I'm playing on Linux, by using Steams compatibility layer and adding Skylords Reborn as an external game to my Steam library. That SHOULDN'T be an issue, but who knows - old software used to have problems with interoperability. I recommend verifying the issue on a 2-Windows-players setup, since that is what is officially supported by the project. _log_proxy_latest.log.7z 2025-07-04_19-04-52_Crusade_diff1_s8841_Denolven_Anske_time_0_13_12.7_v272.pmv

I never said the Phoenix+Embalmer combo isnt a bit OP but thats just what you need when you encounter difficut enemies with a random team. Finding good players for rPvE Expert+ is very hard even alot of high ranked players completely mess up in difficult situations thats why Phoenix+Embalmer is so important for me. Just try this weeks 2 player infected map at Expert+ with a random player. If they would nerf the Phoenix+Embalmer combo which i REALLY hope they wont Expert+ with random players would be pretty much over. Of course you could just restart if you encouter difficult enemies or only play easy maps of the month but im not interested in playing like that i would probably just quit. Bad idea you never need more than 10-12 Phoenixes in difficult situations(like Bandit/Stonekin double bases with 4 XL units+4 Windhunters) i first unbind my Phoenixes either by killing spawn waves or by attacking the T2 side camp then i destroy my Shadow T2 monument and switch to Nature so i can support my Phoenixes with Oink and Surge of Light. There are plenty of situations where the Phoenix+Embalmer combo is too weak and healing+CC is needed expecially on 2 player maps. Its impossible to tell if that spell would be worth a deck slot before testing it in difficult situations but to me it seems pretty bad. Just imagine you have to deal with massive Lost Souls spawn waves or close bases with 4 XL units(Tortugun and Walker)+Windhunters that slow HP regeneration wouldnt do anything. It could be a fun card for some campaign maps or Advanced++(lvl6) in combaintion with Shadow Mages but thats pretty much it.

Shadow T2 issues : a solution to solve it
This Is Halloween_2 replied to This Is Halloween_2's topic in Cards
So, let's add in a bit more precision. 1st, I do not see this change being implemented until some time, as shadow & amii needs a bit more help (which is why I also added the corpses regen spell, and there's additional floating ideas of having a shadow T1 or T2 spell with a summoning demon effect once enough corpses/killed units are collected). However, phoenix + embalmer is perhaps the very last of the broken things left from old BF that hasn't gotten fixed by the devs. There's 2 ways to fix something : the sledghammer, like what was done for amii monument or decomposer, or a more limited correction, like SoW, frenetic assault, infect. and I do think something that allows in a 4P settings, a player to wipe out 2 strong camps solo without too much struggle, while unbounding its units in the meantime, is a problem. However, I'm not found of the sledgehammer method. Furthermore, one issue we have is that both cards are not actually that amazing taken solo. Shadow phoenix, without embalmer's shrine, is ok, while the shrine itself is bad. That's why a core part of the post is to identify solution for both cards to be viable independently, while trying not to destroy but only limit the combo to a more reasonable level (going from absolute S+ tier to a simple S tier solution). So yes, I do propose for embaler's shrine a significant decrease in corpses bonus, in exchange for a passive system of work, making the card better at combo with other shadow tool like necro-blaster or other more cpve cards, or the new spell I've proposed. This will not kill the combo, but it will require situations to be a bit more perfect for mass resurection of unbounded phoenix. Considering shadow phoenix place, I do propose, if needed, to increase the number of charges from 12 --> 16 and to make phoenix spawned undazed. This will make the card a bit more like the spell it's supposed to be and can help compensate a decrease in resurection (it's more acceptable because those additional 4 charges bind power temporarily). Lastly, I still wait for your comments on the new spell I've proposed 😃 Shadow at T2 really needs something to move away from phoenix -

2 computers in the same house, same hardware, 1 pc is crashing very very often, sometimes randomly in menu, sometimes during the same, but 9/10 times it crashes when loading the map, progress bar goes to 20% and game crashes, sometimes when bar is 100%. It's a little bit more stable during solo game, but still random crashes there and there. _log_proxy_latest.log crashdata.mdmp

Challenge 3.2 - Behind Enemy Lines did not count towards points
UltDragon replied to Rankerz's topic in Report A Bug
Its a bug, will be fixed in the following days. -
Thanks for the feedback, please see the most recent Community Update for our answers to some of these concerns. Given this is our first season, we are still learning and trying to adjust what we can both within this season but more specifically for next season. We just made adjustments to some of the repeatables based on current community progress.

I have just finished the map of Behind Enemy Lines with no buildings, fire only deck, and got no progress at all on Challenge 3.2 I double checked my deck, it has no building cards to begin with, so unsure if i'm the only one affected by this or a global bug appeared Replay attached Behind Enemy no building.pmv
