Hey, sadly this is not completly true. I thought first the same. But don't forget, this is a price based on listings. There are still a lot cards that are not often traded which are listed unrealistic high. So the value that SMJ is always a bit (we don't know how much) higher then the real value of a booster. If you want, I can look for some extreme samples, have seen many the last days. But I guess you get the point.

Hey Windhunter, thanks for your opinion here. Yes that was now only a cautious impulse to the discussion, of course I have the points mentioned in mind. Personally I think that the main factor could be the hillarious stacks of cards some of us had before the birthday patch in combination with the quite high possibilities for upgrading them before the first adjustments came. Could be this was just too much of supply for some medium-top rares for a short term. I believe that! And just to emphasize that, even if I would be right with my inventory - I would not be even sure where to adjust how to make things better. I am aware that balancing a market isn't that easy as some think. I am quite sure that this is not happening. The min. value of commons as gone up from 3 to 5-6 and the from uncommons from 3 to 15-17. This is an increase of around 40 per Booster, while top tier uncommons like LSS or Frost Mages that come to my mind have dropped down crazily. In the same time top rares (and ultrarares) lost around the half of their value. I would be really surprised if these balances out in the end. I have opened ~50 Boosters since patch and my feeling gets stronger and stronger that the pool of cards which give you a positive outcome has become much smaller since prepatch. But waiting for clear numbers is of course the perfect way to go here. Can't wait to see the new SMJ to see if my feeling is perhaps wrong here. PS: Maybe I am even right here, but to early to point this and market still needs more time to balance - who knows. PPS: While posting here I have overseen the new SMJ post. Seems my feelig is plain wrong.

Boosters have never been less worthy of opening, or is it just me? I mean, I'm not going to stop there, but I don't like the current impact of the Reforge system on the economy. When even a booster with 2 good rares doesn't bring in the booster anymore it does hurt

Five. Its max 3 from the camp and max 2 from the wave I would agree with Fimion in most points. Especially the T2 clear is not that hard if you train it a bit and can be done with any color with a 3 card standard setup if you know your enemies. There is only two things that I personally think where LS is too strong. 1. Their shields never expire what I think is quite unfair 2. The disenchant from the dancers take away shields, some heals and other tools that are quite important for sustain like Unity what makes the mid and late game for some decks a bit unfair. Usually nothing that stops you, but a big disadvantage for some decks that rely on fire or ice sustain tools. 2 Tips for the start: If you get attacked right away ping immediately for help and spawn beside or behind your wells to let them tank a bit and to get out some units for a counterattack. And focus your fire then! Even if you don't get attacked - spawn behind your well and take your time. Always expect a worse case scenario which is 2 Beasts, 3 Dancers and 2 Shielders. Better safe then sorry here!

I've only played a dozen or so matches against the faction, so that's not enough to judge it conclusively, but so far it seems very well balanced to me. I have not only played the motm, but especially here the close camp situation at T4 comes to mind, without Frenetic (or until then) this is really crunchy. Yes, Frenetic settles almost everything against fire, but so does it against any other opponent, as Coco already said, different topic. Some of the bosses are very nicely challenging, I've seen the one or other wipe and on the grinder boss in mini-speedrun I had some problems myself. As for the lower levels, I was quite surprised because of all the M-counters with the standard fire start how quickly my nomads are gone if I'm not careful. Sure, it's not rocket science - but it's not any easier than bandits, stonekin or twilight starts, rather a little harder. Sure it is WAY easier then a harder Lost Souls start, but I don't know if that is what people want 🙂 I can handle myself a Lost Souls Start with 2 Beast, 5 Dancers (outer lane) and 2 Shielders - but this scares most people a lot in 9s - not sure if it is desirable to push Fire into that direction. All in all, I personally like the concept: A lot of damage and little HP (although it is not soooo little) very well, because gives a complete other feeling then fighting the other factions. Basically I would see Fire between Twilight and Lost Souls in terms of difficulty - a sweet spot in my opinion. 10s I have not played so far, only 9s. Just wanted to share the completely different impression that the OP has here.

The last update on this was that there is no template for fire/frost, so no new card with this pattern could be added, not sure though if this is still accurate. If they figure it out one day, don't expect full editions like we have for other factions, as making new cards is prolly a lot more work then most could imagine.

Hey all! The contest is over and the participation was overwhelming - I thank you all for that. Love you folks All in all I got 33 replays, of which 24 where valid (3 double/6 invalid because of not opened chests). 70 unique Players participated, that where more then in any other official contest so far (no guarantee on that). The Players with the most runs where: Paxvobiscum with 5 entries Damo with 4 entries and Subnnobs, Malolo, Taylor, AntonWsh and Janjua each with 3 entries I thank you very much for your replays. We will look out for the hot scenes and present you the highlight in the Stream on the 07.11.2021. Of course we will present you a full ranking then and hope for your patience until then! Keep the up!

I don't think speedrunner should be a steakholder here, as it touches balancing and game experience. They have to work with existing tools, and if this brings a meta shift there, I would not even consider that a bad thing. Strongly agree! Would love to see a lets see x1.5 game experience. Slower speed could also be appreciated by some, to give more people access to some harder game modes. And additional options would not hurt others, that are glad with the current game speed. Like the idea very much. Ofc this should only touch match speed, not daily timers and such PS: Many rts even allow to adjust speed (in single player and campaign) during the match

Hello Skyfolks, again me with an update. We have been struggling with the question of whether to publish an interim score and how to publish it - as in every of this events. Many people give me the feedback, that I can feel, that they would like to know where are they standing. Others of course want to polish their times first, or need to find the time to do so in a 4 player group, we understand this too. We are also aware that such a ranking can be motivating as well as demotivating - we hope it can push you again - so here we are: There are already 12 submissions and a lot of people have still announced to send one. Here are the, anonymous, times of the top 3 as well as the currently 8th place. 1st 10:57 min 2nd 10:57 min 3rd 12:04 min ... 8th 14:06 min Yes, this is no copy and paste error, we have two submissions within the same second! To further increase your motivation to participate, we have decided that the prize pool will be expanded if we get beyond the 16 entries! Then there will be a booster per person for the places from the 9th to the teams that are in the top 50%. If we even crack the 30, we can possibly talk about even more boosters, so send me your replays!

I have to giggle when this one comes to my mind - yeah great card too. It did not even get much attention from me as pve player (actually you @Blashyrkh brought it back to my mind, back then when we both started digging deeper into fire) Ah those funny lovely fire cards. Still hoping for Windhunter and our team to find more good solutions for Fire to make it a bit more consistent and overall playable, though ofc the last patch already helped.

Stylewise it is for me the Jugger - "Size matters!" Love how he looks and sounds - a real fun unit for me. Sadly no tool for my pve 😞
