What are “Crappy Community Contests”?
CCC's are meant to be small-scale contests with weird challenges, hopefully luring you away from well-trodden paths. They are small-scale on the organizers side too: usually there will be no stream, video, or event announcing the winners. What's special about these contests is a participation prize for the whole Skylords community.

What, when, where, how?
Ashbone Pyro vs. Magma Hurler

Both strong and revered - but which of them is the stronger card?

This challenge is to win
the custom map "CCC#10 - Ash vs. Hurler"
on expert difficulty in the fastest time
under severe deck limitations.

In this challenge, you are sent to win a copy of the campaign map "Crusade", using either Ashbone Pyro OR Magma Hurlers to destroy your enemies. The map provides instant access to those units and enough energy to get going right from the start.
Additionally, to said units, you are allowed to use Regrowth in your deck to quickly heal up your army. So in total, you are only using Magma Hurler + Regrowth _OR_ Ashbone Pyro + Regrowth.

 Ashbone and Hurler fill a very similar role with comparable orb requirements, and we will settle once and for all what's the card better fulfilling its role. As a special feature, the winner of this challenge will get the special honour of deciding if the Official Skylords Discord will get an Ashbone or Hurler emoticon (CLICK HERE) provided by the talented @Titan. The winner may decide freely, you don't need to use Hurler in your contest entry if you want to decide for Hurler.

 
How to enter:
Battleforge automatically saves a replay file of the last match you play, named autosave.pmv.  After playing the map, rename this file, so it doesn't get overwritten. You can find your replays here: Documents => Battleforge => replays.

The contest has started with the release of this post – submit your replay through Discord (DM to Kapo#0116) or the Skylords Forum (DM to @Kapo) until 12.03.2023 23:59 CET  (= 11 days time total). You can submit multiple times, but only your last entry will count. Please note that any submitted replays may be posted here in the forums.

To lessen my workload, please rename your replay to the following format: CCC10_<your-time>_<your-name>.pmv  (e.g. CCC10_5_11.23_Kapo.pmv)

What's the prize pool?
Since this is not just a crappy contest, but a Crappy Community Contest, you may help with your participation to earn a prize for the whole community. If we reach more than 25 participants (unique players, not entries), we will unlock a Mini-Booster code for the entire Skylords community. If more than 40 participants enter, the code will be upgraded to a Booster instead of a Mini-Booster. So tell your fellow Skylords to try this challenge – it's an occasion to try something completely new, and it raises our chances to hand out a code for everybody.

Everyone with an ingame account can participate in the event, there is no need to sign up separately.
You just have to send in your best replay, including the player names and the time, to nukie on discord (nukie#9354) or the forum (@nukie).

With all the quests and achievements that have been added to the game, it happens quite often that I complete a quest or achievement after playing a match while I had no idea what I actually did to complete the quest or achievement. Of course I can search for the achievement name in the achievement window, but it would less effort if the obective would be included in the reward mail.

Would restricting the Achievement to singleplayer work? We already have a 4-player rPvE exclusive Achievement, why not a singleplayer exclusive one as well. That way it doesn't have to be removed and the 4p lobbies won't be as filled with ignorant but clueless folks.

The problem from what I understand is not the difficulty of the achievement, but the many clueless players that ramdomly join 4p rPVE10 lobbies without proper knowledge of what to expect and how to win a rPVE10 map. These people are not always carryable as rPVE10 is hard (as it should be). So these folks are massively diminishing the enjoyment of regular rPVE10 players like Volin and the duck. Hence the suggestion to remove the achievement and thereby removing the incentive for players to join rPVE10 without the proper preparation.
Switching the achievement to singleplayer would prevent frustration and lack of enjoyment of the game for the regulars.

Community events are created, run and largely sponsored by community members and as much as community events would love to give participation boosters to everyone they simply can't. Prizes are largely by community members (more than 2/3) and Ultralord put in nearly 20k worth of cards from his own personal collection. We should be extremely grateful that he not only put his time & effort but BFP into it. The bad harvest event is an official event so as many prizes can be generated as needed without anyone being out of pocket that is the main difference. Events are changing for the better to ensure there is equality in prizes between community and official events, the events team have listened to feedback and are making the changes necessary. Please continue to support official and community events

THX for the feed back. Im totally on your side: getting new players in the event is always nice.
But keep in mind: its a event hosted by a community member and not by the SLR-Team.
I dont have the resources to send out boosters to all players.
I can only work with the 20 Boosters i get from the Team -> rank 1-10
I already put in 15k of BFP in cards to the price pool and Octochicken, Bupyc, Trando and Kapo provided a total of 18k in cards
--> But i can not plan that. Im just luck and happy that they help me out here. And im lucky that i got the Promo Construct. (which i could have sold and keep the BFP for my self 😏 )
I think the random draw for place 11 - 35 is a good middle way. (with the community support)
So players who join get something, even if they are not in the top 10. (and a Mine is more BFP the the place ten 1xBooster 😐 )
Thats why i increased the cards from BOT1 = 8 Cards -> BOT2 = 16 Cards -> BOT3 = 25 Cards
 
But as fare as i know, the SLR-Event-Team is investigating the Event-Prize-Thematic so we may see changes in the future 👍

Only 3 Rules:
•         Play the Map: Treasure Fleet on Standard Difficulty
•         Finish the map with a victory without losing any gold wagons
•         Build all 20 Power Wells and all 4 Monuments on the map as fast as possible
 
Ranking
The time determining your rank stops when you start the construction of the last Power Well/Monument. Note: “Build” does not mean it has to be kept alive, see FAQ at the end of the post.
The key is to invest as much as possible into your economy while keeping the gold wagons safe.
 
I forget to check the time when I built my last well/orb, do I have to rewatch the replay?
No, because the funny BOT-Website returns for the third time!

You can upload your replay and the website will tell you:
     1. What time will be used for the ranking
     2. If and where you missed a Power Well/Monument
     3. What Power Well/Monument was built at which time and where
Of course, the website is optional! You can join without using it to check your replay.
You don’t enter the event by uploading, you have to send me your replay via the Forum or Discord!
 
Is it possible to see how my run is performing?
For the final 3 Days of the event the “RANK” tab on the website will be activated.
Here you will find the best run of each player, the list is anonymous but you will receive your pseudonym after uploading a replay.

Anniversaries are special opportunities – and we like to take this head-on and really show that Skylords Reborn is for the Community, by the Community! A contest like this has often been suggested, now is the time to ask you for your card development ideas.
 
In this contest, you are called to submit your idea for a new card,
which will be presented to high-ranking jurors for judgement.


The jurors for this will be the designers @Hirooo, @RadicalX and @WindHunter – for those who don't know, these are the guys who are calling the shots in the SR Team about what makes the cut for new content.
Important note: Of course, there is no obligation for the SR Team to make any entry into a real card. But, a good idea that really fits into the game has a lot of power, and your idea will be heard, seen and judged anonymously and without any barrier of entry.
The contest starts with the reveal of this post and ends on the 1st of January 2023, 23:59 CET. Submit your entry through Discord (DM to Kapo#0116) or the Skylords Forum (DM to @Kapo). I will anonymize the entries, present them to the jury, and after a voting phase the winners will be revealed.
 

Rules:
Your idea must be a new card (NOT a rework of an already existing card or a Promo card) Units and buildings must be fitting for an already existing model (this is a technical limitation, but re-texturing can do wonders) Unfortunately, we also can't allow for Fire/Frost or Rainbow-cards (or any other outside the known factions, due to technical limitations) You are asked to create the fully upgraded version (see below: Things you don't need to add) By entering, you are giving away your card idea with permission to modify it  – the final design may differ from your submission here You are limited to a maximum of TWO entries - if you win on both, you will recieve the higher price You are asked to use the following template:

Rarity Upgrade Levels (submit a fully upgraded design) Number of Charges Artwork for the card At the end of the contest, we may make a compilation of the entries – by participating, you automatically agree to be included in that.
 
Suggestions:
In preparation for this contest, we asked the jurors to drop some hints on what is needed for a good design.
You might not want to create a new super-powerful card, but a card that's interesting. Maybe it fills a special niche case in a faction (like Burning Spears), or it is special, or meme-worthy (like Easter Egg). Balance is important! The best cards are useful, fill essential roles, and are not overpowered. If you design a T1 or T2 card, think about PvP implications. Fit the card to the faction: Think about the intentional strengths and weaknesses of each faction. Potentially, you see an extremely missing card in an arsenal, but that could be part of that faction's design. Also, breaking core rules of the game requires a very, very, very good reason. For both topics, see: Design Philosophy Document. You are allowed to submit a legendary (neutral) card, but please note those are much harder to design and balance properly. Voting and Prize Tiers:
PLATINUM TIER
Platinum tier are creations that REALLY could be considered to be added to the game. They must not be all-around perfect, since someone who is not on the SR team cannot know about every problem faced when implementing cards. Platinum entries are cool, captivating and would be a great addition to the game.
Platinum tier winners will win a low-grade promo of choice (e.g., Fallen Skyelf, Lyrish Knight or Rogan Kayle) or Ultra-Rare of choice of similar value (Infect, Forest Elder etc.). Should your card some day make it into the game, you will get it for your own collection.
 
GOLD TIER
Gold tier suggestions are cool and interesting suggestions, but are lacking significantly in ONE (but only one!) way:
Unbalanced design with no way to repair that Clearly impossible to implement  Too niche to be worth the implementation Not fitting for any faction or into the game Not really a fitting, existing model in the game etc. Gold tier winners will win a Booster, accompanied by an (good) Rare or (medium) Ultra Rare card.
 
SILVER TIER
Silver Tier suggestions are solid suggestions, but are lacking in more than one way to make it into the game. For examples of what could cause issues, see the mentioned list above.
Silver tier winners will win a Booster.
