First of all, thank you two for your feedback. I really appreciate it.

I agree, that a duration over 14 days can be too long for events.
We are still trying to adjust the event durations and this time we went for the full rpve rotation to give the possibility to optimise.
What we also shouldn't forget, is that many participants that aren't in the top 10 haven't enough time to always catch the current running events and therefore might miss events.


In Conclusion:

We will adjust the run time of events in the future and will try to find the sweet spot.
Please keep giving us feedback, so we can improve our events!

you can view them ingame --> be in the Forge  --> Book icon on the top -->Profile --> Replay icon on the right side --> names will be as they are named in the replay folder but you can see the finish times of the replay selected, so as long as you know what your replay time is you should be fine. The replays are ordered based on recency, so if you know a date you can skip quite a few as well.
Also you can change the names of replays outside the game by changing the name in the following folder:  C:\User\Battleforge\replays
 

This is covered in the FAQ:
• Am I allowed to spawn or create units via a spell or ability?
As long as these units don't give ground presence, yes.
The only source of ground presence in your game should be the one unit you have chosen (per player).

Hardmode is: Using no ground unit at all 😋

If I understood the rules right, it doesn't matter how a unit is spawned - through a spell, an effect like Grim Bahir applies.... the only thing that counts is that you gain no ground presence.

They don't provide ground presence, so no problem here.

Hey all,
I'm already in a team with one of my usual mates to compete for the top ranks hopefully, but I feel I would have the time and energy to participate in another team.
I would rather look for a newcomer or experienced player that is usually not among the top10 then to make another top team with well know speedrunners.
I would not want to share the tactic I use in my other team, nor I want to give out a whole new strategy, but of course I would like to give advice and share my knowledge if wanted so. For myself I had a few ideas for some strats that could be fun and would like to test them. If someone already has a complete strategy idea I would even be glad to follow your lead completely! You see. I am open to many approaches!

This post will be edited when a team is built - so as long as you can read this, don't hesitate.
One last thing: Using voice chat is a must for me in a contest, even if we would only more compete for a medium rank, using discord for fast communication is essential and makes things a lot easier and faster. We can speak in English or German, no matter what, this is not negotiable for me 🙂

Dear Skylords,

I just sent out all the prizes - and want to mention again that those came from very generous Skylords sponsoring the Event.  When sending them out, I noticed that I forgot to add an Aggressor (B) into the prize pool, so I put him into the Consolation Prize (16th).

But first, I’d like to thank everyone for making the Crappy Community Contest happen - no matter in what way: participation, sponsoring prizes, spreading the word or helping me to organize it. I received so much support and even more nice words - maybe a small apology for the amount of crappy advertisements is also in order 😉

In conclusion
Thanks again to all who helped to make this happen. What I can tell so far is that the series will continue, CCC-2 has already been discussed with the Event Managers - but before that my guess is that we will see some other contests/events.
If you have a crappy idea for future CCC's you may share and discuss that with me, maybe you can host your own Crappy Contest! Feel free to contact me. If you want to discuss or host any other kind of contest, contact our Event Managers Hiko and/or Metagross. They are super supportive and will help you to organize your own event!
 

The contest recieved some donations from generous Skylords, so the price pool has been updated.

Edit: I am baffled by the amount of additional donations I recieved, and instead of giving everything to the "Top" I added a random draw of two really good cards for the lower half of entries - that seemed more appropriate for a community contest.
