It only lacks that one building, abbreviated FK, that makes units literally Indestructibletm

True although I suppose for this theme maybe:

FK (B)*: Help carry other, puny and helpless Skylords to victory by freezing their enemies also and making them indestructible also!

*Disclaimer: I know is all fun and games here but feels like this could a tool for trolling other Skylords...

  2. Maybe try uploading your "_log_proxy_latest.log" (see attached image for path)?  Although if you are playing on integrated graphics you might be out of luck. If you are lucky, maybe you just need to install graphics card driver and/or DX9 runtime.

To be clear I did not said it is easy to get full collection in less than a month, just that more than few people did it, starting at different times since release. I would say that there is no good metric to measure trading skills 😛 So no clue what "average" trader is 😄

Nor did I it was easy and in fact I am openly questioning the repeatability of such feat. You are right there is no good definition but I would roughly define that as someone with some basic knowledge of most cards and keep some tabs on market prices of cards.

I can see a player with extensive knowledge and market inclined could accomplish such a feat. For example, maybe players who can do expert maps with tutorial deck could put all their early :bf: in to trading and have it snowball easily quickly. And/or buy terribly under appreciated cards which they can use while they try to flip it. No idea, I am not that good of a trader to know. It is possible and sounds like it has been accomplish multiple times so it way more real then the other theoretical extreme of accomplishing it in a day.

Anyway, I don't think is all that helpful metric. What I do is an interesting and perhaps a fair question to devs is when do they expect players to accomplish such a feat? 😎

  4. I have played over 6 months by now and I did some light trading (typically buy low-ish and sell average-ish) but I open my daily boosters rater than sell. I should be able to get non-promo 1x collection but I have focused on getting cards I use and charges. I think I have my budget deck within a day or two and worked up from there (I still mostly use my more budget decks).

Yeah there is no limit on trading so it is also possible to do this all in a day (4x + promos) but setting expectations to more repeatable by the average skill trader/player, I think 6 to 7 months feel right (maybe very active trading could be 3 to 4). I am not sure how repeatable 1 month would be but I don't doubt that can be achieve by some (constantly checking what sold and refilling etc with some skills and luck).

  5. Higher power somewhere is telling me Church of Negation "is the way" (is this my 2nd random CCC draw for it?). 😛

Actually, I did find some time to attempt a last minute run with buildings only and did well enough to get Stronghold from achievement but not higher than what I submitted already (messed up late game, accidentally saved Rogan before clearing twilight camps for more points etc). Is nice when I can participate and cross out some achievement quests. 🙂

Wished more people tried but nice to see some new blood. Thanks!

This one is, to be honest, more of a joke.

On many of the previous contests, you had to collect all gold chests - and on several times people stated the hate the gold chest objective. That's why you get a point for not doing it this time 😃

Was thinking along those lines but I'll stick to thinking is to test our resistance to the temptation of the shiny golden ring... um... I meant chest! 🙂

S: 1 Point: Collect no gold chest

I don't know... Is interesting but on other hand it literally requires no action on players' part. I suppose some people might be trained to open chest (I was clicking on it and I think I stopped in time in my only successful run so far).

Anyhow... I am greatly liking this despite it being a little overwhelming at same time. Having extreme flexibility to figure out the path to max point is great but might be overwhelming for newer players. However, there is always random draw and if enough people participate, community mini booster code gets upgraded to general booster code so while I do think is a little overwhelming, no reason to not give it a shot if you got time (I haven't been able to play much lately myself but gave it a few tries so far)! 🙂

  8. Not sure if I like the idea of reward for slowest N spot(s)... unless we are talking about multiple entries (1 "normal" and 1 "slow" entry etc). Anyway, I'll "put money where my mouth is" and in some near future event (only because current event is ending soon), I'll offer some common cards for new/lower ranked players for participation (ideally helping them with event a little somehow). I did "melt" some for reforge mini booster quest but still have few extra copies of various cards.

If you want to play a certain card just for the sake of playing it: Totally fine, that is the core of any card game. But please don't run around and tell people above.

Just agreeing with Metagross31 that a strict reading of Donaar's criteria list should result in that but definitely felt that was "red meat" so refrained from it initially.

Like I said I never viewed Juice Tank as anymore than a "fail safe" and had hinted at SR team making Juice Tank more and more pointless with map rebalances. Finally gotten to Nightmare's End for daily and the power wells near ritualist/"T2" is 900 and I was swimming in so much power the whole time and I didn't even take the power wells in the middle of north and south... I had initially thought that maybe if "T2" power wells were 600 that it might make things quicker for me (I'm still way over 60mins solo) but totally pointless beside for experiment for this thread.

  10. Are you talking about this deck?

Solid/typical T1 Nature (I usually don't use Werebeast in rPvE but seems ok).

I have not had to use dual affinity Aggressors ever. They are rather expensive in terms of power and you should only use a couple of them for CC/control. Juice Tank is a hard no for rPvE... I would recommend Bleeding Grounds there.

    Magma Hurler is pretty good.

I don't know why you want a T3 carry when you got Bloodhorn? I have only heard of Ashbone Pyro for "T3 carry" but never played and sounds like it requires a specialized deck. I would say replace Cluster Explosion with Offering and get another T4 unit (in place one of the Aggressors or Viridya) if problem is lack of charge on T4.

PS: Cluster Explosion is nice but you would be left with out T4 unit going :natureorb::frostorb::fireorb::fireorb: but there is Giant Wyrm, Gemeyes, Construct, etc without going  :natureorb::frostorb::fireorb::shadoworb: for Bloodhorn.

    Juice Tank S-Tier confirmed? 🙃

I think by those criteria, Juice Tank is S tier but is clear Donaar doesn't think so. Violin apparently disagreed on this but I certainly think in many maps where you aren't racing against the clock for map objectives, you can get a a point where you have a good enough defense and then you can use Juice Tanks then wait for an overwhelming power advantage to win. Yes, to get maximum benefit, you should Juice Tank power wells for full duration but there is no need for that (every ~2min/60 power per well you get about ~1min/30 power extra per well) so you can in fact Juice Tank power wells late or destroy Juice Tank early if you used it early. With that, Juice Tank is MVP/S tier (yes, at cost of drawing out map).

So how about this... what about in a pure Frost budget deck (I don't know, maybe 500 BFP or below)? Maybe others will show budget decks that in fact still don't need Juice Tank. 🙂

  12. First of all thanks for compiling this and is certainly an interesting read!

I suppose multi-verse is possible but I am more partial to maybe just one big messy dreamscape given the role of dreams in game/lore.

Maybe far fetched but feels to me another possibility is we fight against Moon's/Shadow's take over. Looking her role in story, that she is last one standing, and what Shadow is supposed to represent, I feel like there is enough to support this idea.

Another random thought, is the player supposed to be Skylord of Frost? At least there is currently no known one and Frost is never the enemy so far...

To be fair, that only applies when you actually use that power well. I think debate about Juice Tank needs to consider, that most people that could gain some actual use from the card are not the best players. Playing as a newcomer means you can easily waste lot of power not knowing map/spawns/mechanics and thus, JT can give you the opportunity (on long maps) to try again few more times without restarting the map.

First time I played Mo on expert, I slogged heavily through the scenario and JTs helped me to win the map by pure brute force - I threw enough bodies at the bandits that ultimately I won by pure attrition. Without the extra power, I would have not done it. But of course, this is far from any good or ideal solution to a map I guess 😄

It's basically preemptive failsafe, where the player basically goes - I am not the best, I know I will most likely fail this attack/objective several times, so I would prefer to have another chance or two, considering the game is gonna be long one anyways. The actual question stands, whether or not such thinking should be encouraged.

Exactly. The other point I seem to keep repeating is you can destroy Juice Tanks early and don't need to use it for the full duration of the wells.

@Donaar If you actually read the whole post, I later explained/implied that Blight solo (item 1), Siege of Hope (item 2), and Defending Hope (item 4) doesn't make sense to use Juice Tank. For Nightmare's End, I'll concede that rankings is full sub-40min runs but there is enough runs over 20min marks that as I said "you might to Juice Tank later power wells instead" (meaning your starting wells shouldn't need it but your 2nd orb wells which I believe are still 600 power wells might benefit; I'll have to play for daily to confirm later; PS: never mind, power wells near ritualist is 900 so big NOPE for Juice Tank). I was trying to split hairs that yes you basically don't need Juice Tank based on times from rankings (those 4 maps solo were the only mathematical candidates; based on assumption standard wells are 600 power/20min to drain and even none of those need and in fact most of them are counter productive to use Juice Tank) but also according to rankings, the average player does in fact play long enough on many maps (I didn't do a thorough job here) such that Juice Tank could be a net positive.
