sylvix95
After finally managing to complete it, there's an astronomical difference of difficulty on advanced with this map compared to any other map, this map on advanced is leagues harder than a lot of maps on expert. New and casual players are going to heavily struggle with this one and will never see the jungle map. my problems arent in the beginning part, even tho as many said before, its not fair the mountaineer attack flying units while it's not supposed to, and also somehow, i've not tried but people keep telling me the nightguard can't switch with it, while its a 2 orb mob that cost exactly 150, its the exact limit, it should be doable. if you want to make it canon then make a new variant of montaineer that can attack flying units, but otherwise thats unfair, otherwise i like the rest of the beggining part. the problems for me start when you get tier 2: 1) there's just not enough breathing room in between waves to go and get ressources, ive never seen what goes on on the side with frost units cause for me, its not doable to build an army and go there while you also have to use all your energy on towers. 2) The amii monument is a cool idea on paper, until you eventually lose the top base and you're locked into tier 2 for the rest of the game, once it happens its a death sentence, and despite my best efforts with a friend its very easy to get overwhelmed there. 3) it goes with my point 1 but i think there are too many of those buildings you get to destroy to reduce the timer, and you never have the ressource to split between an army and your defences to go take care of it. And I would be ok with it if the option to make suicide attacks would be viables, but nope, thats prevented too with those auras on the gregories and said main building. for real, why ? getting there is hard enough why you had to add those auras ? i've barely beaten it on advanced, (at 5 seconds from the end, my entire defense collapsed, cause no power and lost the amii monument, only reason i didnt die is because i had purple knight of chaos). For real, as a somewhat casual noob player i don't see myself EVER playing it on expert. i really liked map2 tho Dran likes this
This Is Halloween_2
Quote 1) there's just not enough breathing room in between waves to go and get ressources, ive never seen what goes on on the side with frost units cause for me, its not doable to build an army and go there while you also have to use all your energy on towers. That is I think the biggest things to "learn" or understand on this map in term of strategy : 1) You need a T2 defense, but once you've defended, these towers must be destroyed because they bind power & are not strong enough later on. 2) Most important part is your offense after the 1st night. You must have a T2 offense strong enough not only to clear before the shrine, but to then go to the middle part where the ennemy wave split and clear most of the left part. There you then kill the priest at the start of the night while taking T3. After you move with your T2 army to the bottom (from where you came to reach the amii camp) and you start moving toward the frost camp while building T3 def at your wall. If you do that you should be able to clear the camp during the 2nd night & take T4. And maybe even take the middle wall & start defending there (T3 def at least, maybe even T4 if you can). Quote 2) The amii monument is a cool idea on paper, until you eventually lose the top base and you're locked into tier 2 for the rest of the game, once it happens its a death sentence, and despite my best efforts with a friend its very easy to get overwhelmed there. You're not supposed to lose it. If you lose it it's gg, not because you simply lost it, but because it means you were probably already far behind when that happened. Quote 3) it goes with my point 1 but i think there are too many of those buildings you get to destroy to reduce the timer, and you never have the ressource to split between an army and your defences to go take care of it. And I would be ok with it if the option to make suicide attacks would be viables, but nope, thats prevented too with those auras on the gregories and said main building. for real, why ? getting there is hard enough why you had to add those auras ? From what I've experienced, the one defending the shrine doesn't go clear the freeze camp & the middle banestone, but can go take the 2 others after the 2nd night, & take the T4 in the path to the right crossing the terrain in 2. Only the banestone at the far right of the LS camp is truly hard to take. Edited October 21, 2024 by This Is Halloween_2
Tigershark
I have no clue what triggers the reveal of the Amii city. Time? Sometimes it triggers on the second monument, sometimes when reaching the area with the first waypoint, and sometimes even at the well on the path. So far I only played solo. It is based either on time, or passing the gate next to the player's T2, whichever comes first. The time limit before the reveal triggers is stricter on expert than on advanced. shaulani
How is that a good mechanic? It punishes you if you reach t2 too fast.
LEBOVIN
The trigger point is located far enough away from the shared t2 so that you do have to actively advance beyond the tier-up to begin the next sequence. This also allows more experienced players to better time the game state.
