A Lost Soul, rising from the earthly bed,  
With haunting ideas that fill the night with dread.
No longer gone, I’ve returned to my post,  
To host a Skylord Reborn's event, let's raise a ghostly toast.  
For this Halloween, let eerie magic unspool,  
A resurrection, from the land of the ghoul.
So come forth, brave warriors, if you dare,  
For this event promises a spine-chilling scare.

Quick Overview:

Goals and Restrictions:
You need to play the 1p rPvE map of the month on Difficulty 8 and achieve following three goals under two restrictions:
• Restriction 1: Your first and second orb are restricted to Frost and Shadows orbs only (this means also no double frost or double shadow start)
• Restriction 2: Once you are T2 (have your second orb available), you are only allowed to spawn Lost Soul units. This also means you are no longer allowed to play tier 1 units. This restriction does not apply to spells or buildings.
• Goal 1: Win the Map
• Goal 2: Open all Gold Chests
• Goal 3: Reach T4 without Amii Monument (The faster, the better)

How can I participate?

Everyone with an ingame account can participate in the event, there is no need to sign up separately.
You just have to send in your best replay, including the player names and the time of map finish, to mHiko on Discord (minashigohiko) or the forum
(@Minashigo Hiko).
Replay name format - "mHiko_00h20m30s_.pmv"

You can send in your replays until 15.11 23:59 UTC+2.

What's the Prize Pool?
The following prize pool will be adjusted according to the amount of participants.

You can join the event multiple times, but only your fastest T4 time will be rewarded, and you can only enter the raffle once:

A mixture of both actually.. One of my hobbies is to write poems for myself that have deeper meanings.
I wrote the original version in German and used gpt 4 for Translation and then adjusted some words that didn't rhyme anymore.
 
I am curious, why the question?

Here goes my entry with a T4 time of 05:50 - but I don't think this will get me very far 😃
 
 

About the fileformat: is it always "mhiko_..." or our Ingame name?
I m about to send a replay called "Michael_00h20m13s" as my Ingamename is "Michael" or should it be mhiko instead?
(what about the 6 ms im missing since the replay says 20m13,6s?)
I guess the time for t4 will be checked individually anyway?

It should be your name, not mhiko 😄
the 0.6 seconds you can mention in chat, but the replays will be double-checked anyways.

Just to be sure (Twitch video doesn't load for me) - it's OK to play Fr/S/S/N? No need to stick to just frost and shadow orbs? I missunderstood the assignment if so. 🙂

From what I saw me and others are going Fire/Nature for T3 or T4. You just cannot spawn any units that aren't Lost Soul. So you can use Spells and Buildings from Fire and Nature 🙂

7min58sec when t4 is built is currently my best time. What are yours? ^^ Wanted to relate and see if I can improve.

Newbie question: How do I activate the recording of replays? When I go to Documents>BattleForge>replays the only (visible) file is autosave.pmv and it is only 67KB. I just completed the challenge and wanted to send my game.
EDIT: I just found the box in settings to enable saving all replays. I assume I lost all past replays but now it should record all replays right?

I did it at about 10 or 11 min. I had some problems getting to T3 and T4, hope I can improve before the 15th 😄

Even without the "save all replays" option, your very latest game is always there as "autosave.pmv". As soon as you start a new game of course, that one gets overwritten.
So either you save all replays, or you rename the autosave right after the game to secure it.

Not so rarely new Skylords ask a simple question on Discord or the forums: How can I help? As we all wish for more players, there are things you can do to help to make Skylords Reborn succeed. Skylords Reborn can be supported through many actions, some of them are just two minutes for some clicks, others are a long-term commitment.
Important Disclaimer: This guide does not rank people by importance - these are suggestions how to help the game succeed, ranked by their needed involvement level. Also, you don't have to “climb this ladder” to become part of the Skylords Reborn team.
Hopefully some of these suggestions speak to you, and inspire you to take some action:

Quick Tier - the most helpful clicks to settle in
Help drive the most essential metric by subscribing to the official Skylords YouTube channel, and like the trailer. Join the Skylords Discord to stay on top of news, and help build an enjoyable community. Subscribe to the other official Skylords Reborn socials: Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and TikTok.  CHAMPION
Basic Tier - become a part of the community
Subscribe to BattleForge content creators, and like their videos if you enjoy them. Participate in events - not just for prizes, but to support event hosts. Make sure beginners are welcomed properly: Answer questions, and play multiplayer maps with them. Read the monthly Community Update and help spread correct information about the state of the project. Interact with forum posts or Discord messages through likes, emoticons etc. - the creators will appreciate that. Make a proper bug report when you encounter a bug or crash. This rarely happens, but: report rule violations, either ingame or on the #contact-staff Discord channel. Suggest the game to people you know that will enjoy a RTS/TCG game, but make sure you coordinate with the Skylords team Outreach Coordinator when contacting high profile people or outlets.  HERO
Dedicated Tier - invest some time to make the Skylords experience better
Accompany some Twitch streamers, while the community is still small, one viewer more or less makes a huge difference. Participate in the votes or share your decks on the SMJ community deck section. Become an educator: Help others understand core concepts like void power or faction mechanics, and give advice on expert maps on the ingame strategy channel or on the deckbuilding channel on Discord. Write a beginner guide or a deck building/strategy guide on the forum, or a more general one like the one you are reading right now. Create something: make a painting, a graphic, a short clip, a song, a text, a meme, an animated GIF or just some cookies, and share it in the art, video or meme channel. Become a sponsor of a community contest/event to beef up its prize pool. Join the discussion and give quality feedback on the Balance Discord.
   SKYLORD
 Invested Tier - halfway down the rabbit hole
Become a Contributor: There are several roles that don't require you to join the team, like Map Tester, Translator, Proofreader, Art Critique, or Internal Tester. Get involved into more detail-focussed Discords, like lore, descriptions, mapmaking, or rPvE. Help maintain the Skylords Reborn Wiki by either adding or updating articles. Create an enjoyable community map. Host an event for other Skylords to enjoy, be it PvE, PvP or something else. Contribute to Skylords Open Source projects. Become a content creator on YouTube, or start to stream the game on Twitch.  

Maybe this rather long list inspired you to help in one way or another. 
As a final suggestion: If you have free resources, you might be interested in joining the Skylords Reborn team and directly work on the game to make it better! Please be aware that almost everybody thinks “I'm not good enough” at first. Don't let that stop you! There are loads of different positions for nearly every skill set.

What's the point of the finished map timer, if you rate acording to reaching t4 as fast as possible? I'm confused now. I've finished with more than 10 minutes on the clock last time (but I couldn't find the last chest). So do I have to focus on rushing t4 or on clearing the map?
