  1. When I used to play Battle Forge in the (not that) good ol' days, I was really not liking cards with affinities. It felt to me as if they were 'tainted' (pun intended) with the little colorful orbs, that mostly didn't match the card colours. Also, this is also some weird past conjecture, but it felt to my old self, that 'pure' cards were better and more expensive in general. This is far past, but still, some remnant of affinity bias lingers for me. Obviously, the system has its uses, pros as well as cons. For example, in SR it has the additive benefit of basically providing two cards for the price (work load) of one. In terms of a new content, that is almost always welcome. Yet, I am wondering, if I am the only weirdo who felt this way? Some stats: According to SR wiki, there are 404 unique cards. 246 have no affinity, 158 have affinity (thus being in essence 316 cards). All in all, there are 562 cards (including Promos).

  3. Just to make sure, are they all a different card (ie. Swamp Drake, Giant Wyrm, etc.)? Perhaps the issue was the map played, does it specify campaign for example and not rPve?

  5. Afaik there is no such way, the game is and must be strictly non-profit. You can perhaps try out Test server, where all is avaible to play around. Otherwise, you just have to play the game. With the free PVP decks and some PvE playtime, you should already have huge options to choose from though 🙂
  6. Throwing in my a bit older ideas, to somehow create a Stonekin unit with good damage. It has its problems, I'm well aware, but perhaps it can inspire something better 😄 1. Solo iteration Cold veins - self targeted, 15 power - Refreshes duration and strenght of an Ice shield active on this unit. Maximum Ice Shield capacity restored is 1000 points. Reusable every 60 seconds. Lone Hunter - Unit is accustomed to fighting alone. Friendly melee units within 15m radius will actively hinder Crag Lobster, lowering his attack by 20%, to a maximum of 80% (4+ units in an area). Other Crag Lobsters do not provoke this attack decrease, instead they will refuse to fight completely. Adamant Skin - as usual 2. Group iteration Cold veins - self targeted, 15 power - Refreshes duration and strenght of an Ice shield active on this unit. Maximum Ice Shield capacity restored is 1000 points. Reusable every 60 seconds. Group Hunter - Unit gains attack power while being surrounded by allied Stonekin melee units within 20m radius. Every unit will improve Crag Lobsters attack by 200 dp20, which stacks up to 6 times. (Max attack is thus 1800). Territorial - If this unit is within 10m of other Crag Lobster, it will refuse to fight. Adamant Skin - as usual

  10. Shame about the boosters, my goblin brain is sad 😄 But honestly, not that surprising. Personally, hardest part for me was not the idea, but working out how to create it. I really suck at anything picture/video related, lack the programs (and reaaaally don't like getting new stuff for single/one off project). But somehow pulled through 🧐

  16. After a while had a little fun with creating new card concepts. Nothing major, nothing deep, just pure fun. Sandworm - Bandit T3 melee worm Giant Maw - Activate to eat an own unit. Its current HP will be added to Sand Worms life, increasing it beyond the maximum capacaity. Sand Worm can have at most 4500 max HP. Endless Stomach - Sand Worms are known for their endless hunger. Landing a killing blow on enemy unit or building will heal the Worm for 1/4 of the targets maximum health. Others as usual Maggotlord - Shadow T4 melee unit Worm infection - Works as a weaker Infect, applying the same debuff to several enemies around the unit (uses the original animation for Thrust of Ultima). Doesn't cost power, but uses corpses - needs 1500 lifepoints stored. Max storage is 2500. Cooldown of 60 seconds. Corpse bloat - Enemies or allies that die within 15m of Maggotlord have their corpses bloated with worms and maggots. They will contain 50% extra lifepoints. Siege - 50% extra damage to buildings
  17. Perhaps it is a balance thing? But yeah, it sounds like it 'should' work, even though they are Legendary cards.
  18. Do try Magma Hurlers :^) Afaik, they are possible solo, at least mine is. Guess I gotta take Expedition for a solo spin now 🤔
  19. Greetings friends. As the 14th day of the event is rushing by us, I thought it might be interesting to reveal a bit of information about the map attempts. With Damo's approval, these are the (intentionally vague) benchmarks so far achieved, based on received submissions: An Expedition South - sub 20 minute run on expert Lyrish Uprising - sub 30 minute run on expert If you are still thinking whether or not try and compete for those juicy prizes, think no more: maybe they are waiting just for you 😉 Those times can surely go lower...   21. Lovely stuff, really hyped up for the Lost Souls rework, and new card as well! Not to mention, that art looks absolutely amazing.
  22. Feel the Burn Win the 2 player maps Crusade, Sunbridge and Insane God on expert with both players only using Magma Hurlers as their T3/T4 units. Using lower tiered units is fine (T1, T2). Reward: Magma Hurler portrait (promo).
  23. To be fair, as a Magma Hurler supremacist I gotta admit, both are really great. May the best choice win!
