  1. Two players actually showed up and we had a few fun matches, but i feel like it is enough of lol for today. i am kinda tired and will go to bed soon. maybe we can play tomorrow?
  2. @Chimerae it's the same for me right now, i am hoping the game will be more fun with a proper team. didn't play for a year and am propably at gold elo skill level right now. but doesn't really seem like the team is happening, we were supposed to meet today, but nobody came
  3. is there anyone comming? i am in the BFR discord channel where we were supposed to meet.
  4. weren't you the one setting up the meeting? i got the feeling that we won't be able to get enough players for a team...
  5. you got an EUW account as well? as far as i am aware, this team is only playing on EUW for now
  6. Pve, i can't tell since i mostly played rpve and didn't play bandits there. in pvp, bandits has serious issues and is the weakest deck, so there were only a hand full of serious bandits players left. the issue with bandits is the t2, where you have no tools to intercept units or force cc early. it is hard to prevent the enemy from reaching your base, but it is just as hard to defend once the enemy reached your base. you can only rely on unit dps+spell damage to kill the enemy before the well drops and that gets countered by enemy cc quite heavyly. bandits are quite good in offense, but they are still susceptible to cc and have issues against shadow splashes and frost protects. against shadow splashes you are mostly playing shadow units, as drakes are too risky and nc+assasins spamm lacks synergy with the rest of your deck. all other shadow splashes have better synergy in this scenario. frost splashes can stall you out and defend effectively, as long as you are not attacking a cluster. t3 is fine; you still lack cc, but you have units with lots of dmg and tools to intercept the enemy early on. there are lots of different build options for the t3 and in my opinion bandit lancer, gunner and giant slayers is the most effective you can play. it has answers to almost everything while having strong basenuking potential.
  7. terrible attack animation, the small canons feel to weak to provide even basic anti air, ability seems allright. overall might have uses in pve, but in terms of pvp, it gets ways outclassed. really a nice joke that it got nerfed on a watchlist when everyone wanted to see a buff...

  12. i am not a fan of all 3 of the costly nature t1 swift options. a mele for 80 power is just much too kitable and in general too easy to deal with. spawning it against shadow t1 is an outright mistake and it pains me too see how often it spawned regardless in that situation. if i had to pick, i would go for amazon, the ability is usefull against sunderer/scavanger (sometimes) and seems to be a rather safe bet for a nature t1 starting unit. werebeasts are an s unit on top of being a costly mele unit that makes it near useless in a mirror and against frost t1. due to the popularity of shadow and fire t1, i can see why you would want an s unit as a starting unit, so werebeasts are propably okay-ish considering the meta. swiftclaw... i feel is the weakest out of the bunsh when it comes to high lvl pvp play. the activation animation costs valuable, has to be paid attention to and allows the enemy to kite back out of attack range. the swiftclaw then loses swift, making it unable to catch up. this is especially an issue in low energy scenarios, in which nature allready struggles. at a higher power level, hurricane and root can support this unit a lot and make it a lot more effective.
  13. Oh, i see! i somehow thought this was an old thread because of the "updated" tag. Is there a skypegroup or something to coordinate?
  14. is this team still playing actively? are you playing on EUW? If so, i might play a few games with you and see how it goes. i quit lol quite a while ago (about a year), being tired of playing solo/duo and i didn't find a good team to play with either. I used to play support and see that you would still need a player for that position and would be willing to give it a shot to play 5v5. i never played ranked much (well 10 games to get gold, so i get the skin reward once) and i used to get matched around low diamond elo. since i didn't play for long, i am propably playing at gold elo for now and i am not comfortable with most meta picks, in fact i never had a large champion pool and i used to play "creative" picks for the bot lane, which are not usually played in that role.
  15. i think you got better chances on EUW, most BF players are from EU...
  16. Good job on this guide, i especially like the addition of a "new player experience" section. a lot of guids lack this section and i think it is really important since mostly new players need a guide. You guys have some pretty impressive game knowledge there, on most points i can agree. The matchup ranking for bandits really depends on the deck build and since i am playing a quite different build, it is understandable that your ranking is a bit different than mine. Since you allready have a NPE section, how about adding a sentence or two about how good a job a deck does in teaching you how to improve your play? I feel that some decks really don't help the player improve much, especially in low elos. For instance, lost souls is so forgiving, that you can just make your way through t2 somehow and then defeat your enemy with your powerfull t3. There is no real incentive to improve your t1/t2 play much and i often meet high ranked lost souls players who still just rely on t3 camp and categorically never take risks (even if the play would end the game). On the other hand, fire/nature players seems to have a much better understanding and better mechanics and a more proactive playstyle on average. There are hardly any poor fire/nature players in high rank and the game teaches you a lot more about adapting to matchups, timing, defensive play and micromanagement (to some extend). Due to this, while new players surely will have success with lost souls/pure shadow/ pure fire, i wouldn't reccomend these factions to new players (as strongly as this guide does), as they do not promote player improvement the way fire/nature does.
  17. about this card... i only have one question to everyone: why does NOBODY use the super broken heal of the green affinity? that heal is so insane, but nobody bothers using it. 250/s for all units with no cap? the hell is that?!?
  18. one of the most toxic cards in pvp. hardly has any counterplay at all and needs no skill to use. i got no idea what they were smoking when they thought this card would be a good addition to the game. at least they nerfed it enough, so hardly anyone uses it.
  19. I wasn't that rusty? did we even play the same game? I think it would take at least a few weeks, if not a month to fully get back into the game. But since we are testing and not playing pvp all the time, this isn't going to happen either. maybe we will really make a beta tournament at some point, but for that the server has to be in a better shape than it is right now. testing is def. the priority right now.
  20. no, 100%*0.5*1.5=75%, so in fact it makes you deal twice the damage you should have dealt (you deal 150%, should have been 75%). so it shouldn't even negate the dmg reduction entirely the way it was stated on the card.
  21. @Eirias I'm still planing on doing it, it's just on hold for now. If you want someone else to do it then go ahead, but i will write my guide regardless. Is it okay having this section from 2 players in the same guide then? or is that gonna be too long/confusing?
  22. @Eirias I didn't really have time to write such a lengthy section right now. My bachelor thesis took quite a bit of my time and now that i am done with it the semester started again... i can't tell when i find time for it.
  23. Sing? God no, leave me out of this! Just because i can do everything else doesn't mean i can sing! But i can see how you could get that thought...
  24. Guys you don't seem to realise: if boosters are rarely bought, the price of cards goes up. this continues up to a point where boosters are worth it again. The only thing i could really complain about boosters is that they are a bit too random for my taste. but regardless, the prices will play out just fine.
  25. @Ultrakool yeah, but not a cristmas present! and how can santa give us presents if he isn't even in the game?
