My second anime had to be Re:Zero...
Really loved it. Loved how there was plot twists within plot twists like damn. But too bad it's short though, still didn't get why he was cursed with the Death Return spell and why the witch was within him.
Will there be a second season for it, or a sequel in any way?

Re:Zero has decent chances of getting a sequel but it is very far from guaranteed. The anime sold good but far from great in Japan and anything that happens in the western anime community is pretty much irrelevant.
As the majority of shows do not get a sequel due to various reasons (Authour doesn't want to give permission for making a sequel, bad sales, Studio doesnt want to make a sequel, etc.), I'd generally recommend to not hope for a 2nd season unless the anime did exceptionally well in Japan.
TL;DR you are allowed to hope but it's far from 100% - better get to watch some other shows
