Ok, I think I solved it. I have Avast free antivirus and I have it in silent mode. When, once again. my file disappeared and I was unable to restore the copy that I backed up, I knew something was fishy with the file system. The AV was putting two files into quarantine. Restored them, added exceptions, hope there will be no more problems. No new libraries this patch. Way of injection is same for over 6 years now, and we fix more and more function, but the most important redirecting all network trafic to our server is there since begining. And there is no way for us to fix it, the base thing we do can be described as "Stealing your login credentials, and sending them to our server, instead of EA's" that is the intended functionality, and in my opinion, any AV that does not report that is useless.

Yeah i know. And its pretty outdated. Dont know what they picked up on with this patch, maybe some new libraries or injection methods? Its pretty annoying. Hope you can figure it out eventually

After a few restarts and a few reinstalls, I managed to get into the game. No settings though. So I configured the graphics and game restart was needed. After that, I got stuck on the launcher again. And again and again. Then I think I rebooted windows once again, and got into the game. So I guess once in a while it does let me through.

Is the blue "Trojan.Gen.MBT" a link to some explanation what it means? If yes, can you paste it here?

NAME: Norton Antivirus reports trojan in game files DESCRIPTION: With the latest patch of skylord reborn norton starts to flag and remove the file "proxy-internal.dll". It is recognized as "Trojan.Gen.MBT". Not sure if this was a heuristic detection or a proper checksum detection, but the game seems to run fine without that dll. REPRODUCIBILITY: Start launcher, let it redownload the dll -> norton detects and removes it. Game can still be started up and played afterwards. SCREENSHOT:

I forgot to mention in the original post: If two defensive replays have the exact same score, the replay with the faster final time will be ranked higher. You can achieve a faster time by activating the screaming stone to attract the Twilight attack earlier.

I also get this error when I try to launch "Battleforge.exe". I believe we are not supposed to launch this file, but Skylords launcher/updater instead. Not sure though since my game is also not running and I cannot verify.

I cannot run the game anymore. I believe there was an update today that crashed my client. When I tried to run the game again, my shortcut link was invalid, the executable file was gone from the game folder. I decided to download the game again, but when I followed forum install guide, I found that mediafire files are very old and I already have those. So I tried installing in the same folder, there were some updates in the client, crashed again. Then I deleted 'Battleforge' folder from 'Documents', tried installing again, crashed again during updates. After that, I uninstalled, deleted both documents folder and the game folder itself, run setup then launched. I got 1180 updates that passed, then it changed to 836, but it got stuck again at file 832. That was a fresh install. Not sure if the file number would mean anything to you. I didn't have any system modifications since yesterday for sure. I play the game everyday. Last login was yesterday evening. I don't think the error is on my end since every time I run the game, the updater crashes near the end and my "SkylordsRebornUpdater.exe" is gone. Thanks.

Hi, i choose DX9, because dvxk = dx10/11 and d3dmetal is dx11/12 if i get it correct. I would guess that (none of) the compatibility layers you tried, does not correctly handle transparency. I have no idea about compatibility options on Apple, but why did you choose DX9, instead of DX11? Also you do not need to delete whole folder, only `Documents\BattleForge\config.json` (or edit it) If you cange in the config `"maxshader": 1280,` to `"maxshader": 768,` you will force the game to use DX9, maybe that will help.

Hi, I managed to launch Skylords on Mac with Crossover, but it's still not playable because I got some weird Graphic Bugs. It looks like the Picture underneath: IMG_3046.HEIC The whole Menu and all Buttons are missing. Any Clue? I Installed in the "bottle" d3dx9, all Visual++2010..2015, .Net4.5.2 and 4.6.2 (4.6.1 isn't working) I tried with dxvd aswell with d3dmetal .. no changes at all. If I try to to some Graphic setup in game, for example turn on AA, after exit the game I can't start it anymore. side note, all additional image enhancement options are off. Solution is to delete Battleforge folder in Documents -> after that I can run the game again, but with above mentioned Graphic bugs.

AV often randomly triggers on Skylords, which can happen again with updates. The Skylords launcher functions in a way that triggers some AV. But it's harmless for the user yet necessary for the game to work. By default, the game is meant to send your login credentials to the EA server, just like every other always-online game communicates with the official server. However, EA shut down the official server, there is nothing to communicate with. And without the EA server the game cannot function at all, it's dead. In order for this project to work it needs to use a technique that "steals" the login credentials that you enter when logging in and reroutes them to the Skylords Reborn server instead of the non-existent EA server. So to be clear, what is being taken are the login credentials that this project already has from you signing up. And those are being sent to the SR server instead of the EA server. Otherwise the game would just try and fail to connect to the dead EA server and not work.

Some one else getting antivirus messages when starting skyloards now? Must have come with the newest patch, as 2-3 days ago I did not get any issue. Apparently Antivir detects some files as possible Trojans. Using Avira Security (free version)

One question on power crystal, is it any units can collect it or just the kobold engineers (npc-gifted units)?
