Shrine of war buff

Recommended Posts

Can sow be activated permanently like  shrine of martyrs? The void return can be lower to 15%. Recycling between 2 sow is a pain and it tied up 150 power. it is must have card for rpve. If no permanent buff, then reduce to one fire and 2 non orb.

No, it has a duration of 30s and a cooldown of 60s so you need to cycle between 2 of them for permanent uptime.

SoW was already changed by SR in patch #400042 and I doubt it will be touched again any time soon.

 Shrine of War:
1. Orb cost: 1 Fire, 2 Neutral (T3) ➜ 2 Fire, 1 Neutral (T3)

When we first began nerfing cards, many people asked us when we were planning on touching Shrine of War. We previously delayed any changes to the card due to its importance to the rPvE game mode at all levels and because other factions, such as Frost and Nature, lacked sufficient methods of void return, an aspect we think is integral to the balance of all factions. Now that all factions have a viable method of void return, we have decided to give Shrine of War a nerf. We were between the two ideas of nerfing its void return percentage or increasing its orb restrictions. While Shrine of War has by far the most efficient void return when accounting for multiple players out of all the available options, we decided that we did not think its efficiency was outside the line of acceptability, but that the Shrine was too splashable compared to the other options. As such, we choose to leave Shrine of War as the best void return shrine in the game, but to require the player to invest into 2 Fire orbs to access it.

This is a "problem" that most other common options (Shrine of Memory, Power Shrine, Cultist Master + Furnace of Flesh) share as well. The only exception is Shrine of Martyrs which is widely considered weaker than the other options and thus kept its "lazyness". Active gameplay is rewarded with stronger effects.

Lol, shrine of war is by far the strongest void return option in the game.

If anything should be changed on it, it would be to lower a bit its void return % ( and increase a bit the one on both shrine of martyr and memory).

But overall shrines have been mostly fixed by the team, and are unlikely to be changed (and if they are, it would be by slightly upping both SoM and slightly nerfing SoW).

So don’t expect any changes on them.

Also shrine of martyrs did not keep its „laziness“. It has been added later (wasn‘t a void return shrine to begin with either).

Guess SOW buff is too crazy. It will make "game play" "lazy" for me since I can pop one sow and call it a day. Time for me to start playing frost then hahaha since som can achieve that same thing. Sorry to make a suggestion about positive buff beloved card sow.

For the off chance you don't know yet, you can add buildings to the shortcut sidebar, too.

I know about the shortcut. The only problem is when you try to speedrun rpve 8, there is so much going that, sometimes I forgot to activate the shrine. Just figure out that playing 1 fire and 4 shadow orb for rpve6 is good enough for me now. This post open my eyes that I spend too much time playing and trying so hard. Like all the new update and appreciate all the volunteer. This post can be moved to rejected now!
