But why are the required emotes changing? It's too difficult to keep up (was asked in a PM)
I'd guess that works as an afk check alongside the limitation that you can only have one and only the right emote selected to be eligible to win.

Animation could be cool of course, but I think if you have more interesting stories to tell (which everyone does, matters mostly if they feel like sharing) if you want to make it easier for you. The gameplay in the background wasn't distracting, the occasional text highlighting helped illustrate important points, but I could very well listen to this story in the background and get a very similar entertaining experience while playing a game on my own or something. If you want to go with animation it will indisputably make things a bit more complicated for you and COULD make the stories more awesome, but I think the way it was now was just fine ^^ You could also just put images to illustrate your current points, but again, that's some amount of work that could improve the experience but still the story was the main point for me

I don't know why it would be a huge problem. There are dozens of fan lore continuations, prequels, sequels or theories to much bigger franchises like Star Wars, League of Legends or even Sonic (I bet you read all of them you nasty melon). To me it sounds like a great idea especially since the lore of BattleForge seems pretty original and expandable ^^ I know me and @kestas3 are into this as the whole community might have witnessed about a year and a half ago or something when we had our lore chat spam, so I know I'd gladly help you with anything concerning this Good luck!

Promo cards display upgrades as "null". It makes sense, but perhaps you could try and replace this with "No upgrades possible for this card as it is upgraded to level 3 from the beginning" or something. Small thing.
Cards like Protectors Seal also display "null" as upgrade info. Probably a part of the API, but you may consider replacing this with "No info currently available" so its clearer to everyone

If you want suggestions, I'd say some advanced color searching, clearer sorting, since selecting both current options seems kinda random. Hovering over a card creates a nice window with all information, however it is placed directly on top of the viewed card, perhaps move it a bit to the side so the card is still visible and if you feel like it, add loot maps - where to get certain upgrades for each card. Good job either way, nice.
