  1. You might be aware of this already, but in the discord they are discussing muiltiple balance changes :) Not close to your list, but good to see things are being changed. You can also join the discussion and share your ideas there.

  2. While I generally agree with you that players can set their own restrictions and challenges (I restricted myself to only Twilight Edition cards, no enlightenment, for an expert run without cheesing maps), I dont think we should just make everything available to everyone and call it a day. In this logic, why have color differences at all? Why cant I play both frost mage and sunderers on tier 1? I think I saw someone (maybe it was you?) suggest that monuments would be changed to allow all orbs at the same time, to switch things up. I think that would be a huge mistake and undermines the whole idea of the game.

Anyway, In general I think pure cards (as in, SSFF) should be more powerfull than XXSF, since you get the benefit of support spells and strategies. I dont think the solution lies in making everything XX??, but rather reward players more by either buffing the pure cards, or nerfing the splash ones.

I think it would be better if you wouldnt change the stats or even buff it but make it require 4 fire orbs,

because there is no real reason to use a pure fire deck in PvE, Batariel is much better if you use him with Enlightenment.

And since Shrine of War is way more powerful than Shrine of Martyrs making him a T4 building would make sense.

Making it 2 fireorbs is a way on the path to give players more reason to play a heavy splash (or pure) fire. Moving it to tier 4 makes little sense. What are you trying to acomplish with that?

Also, people are constantly pointing out ''but playing X is just better''. Not everyone wants to play the enlightenment batariel deck, so spreading out fun and good cards across all the factions should be something to strive for in general IMO.

    2 VS 2

Would being able to HOST ranked games be a solution? I find it a bit annoying I can easily find 2vs2 in Sparring Grounds, but its almost impossible to play it on ladder. In theory you have the risk of people feeding other teams, but at the same time: for what? There are no rewards, and the team feeding will spend time while crushing their own record. There are quite a lot of multiplayer games that have the option of hosting ranked and unranked games, would this maybe solve some problems?

  4. I agree with all 3 changes, though I would also be fine with just Point 1 and 3 and see how that goes (2 fire orbs, only one per player).
Its a cool fire card, so I wouldnt mind rewarding people for playing two fire orbs at tier 3.

  5. I am a big fan of color restrictions, since it rewards you for playing a certain deck. The problem isnt with Lost Dragon, its the fact that some cards dont have this restriction and are thus superior. If anything we should be looking at this, instead of removing it. There is a reason deepone was 1G but changed to GG. Same with War Eagle. I know you are making a case for Tier 4, but I dont think the logic is much different. You want to be rewarded for going all in on a certain combination. Enligtenment goes arround this (which is why I dislike it in general), but that at least forces you into GG, making your Tier 1 and Tier 2 be effected by your choices.

So if you want to play harvester and lost dragon, you now have to go SSFF or SSGG (with enligtenment on tier 4 to cheat it out). This is a good thing. You are now rewarded for playing Lost Souls and get the Lost Dragon on tier 4, while also playing something that Enligtenment decks could not (Harvester on tier 2).

The problem arises with less restrictions like Lost Spirit ship, cause its arguably just better to go nature. Then again, people need to stop thinking of this game as people-will-only-play-the-very-best-deck, and also consider the casual players who just want to play cool stuff and feel rewarded for their color combinations.

  6. I think creativity lies in restriction, and part of the charm of battleforge is making new decks. By giving the option for a deck to do whatever, you take that away. For example, I like Shadow Worm. Currently the only way to play it is: Mono Shadow, XGG (Enligtenment) or XPPPP (5 orbs/amii monument). And that is fine. I currently have a Nature/Shadow/Shadow/Shadow deck. I am now considering building a new mono shadow deck so I play my favourite worm. If Amii Enligtenment was in the game, I wouldnt have to, I could just slam it into every deck. Now I actually have to buy a whole new deck, which is good for trading and keeping things fresh.

  7. I totaly understand where your feelings come from, and the silence of the last few months have left their scars. But the fact the dev team is now hiring people to adress those very same issues is a good thing, and the only thing they can do right now. Yes, it would have been better if it happened earlier, but nothing that can be done about that.

You say you couldnt care less about balancing, but most of the PvP scene was dead because people were waiting for those balance changes. The fact the team opened up positions like Community Ambassador and Event Manager are precicely to tackle the issues you mentioned. Sadly, it will take some time for them to get filled, but after that we should definitly see improvements in the very things you mentioned.

I guess what I am trying to say is: try to be patient a little bit longer, it looks like good things are about to come :)

If Radical is not taking part, then is he out of the tournament because of unsuitable time of tournament?

Therefore, he is out by Toggy, who chose the date, and therefore wins 8 boosters award? :D

It has to be in a best of 3 though, so if the next time toggy hosts Radical can join, we have the exiting final to see if Toggy can knock him out in the 3th tournament.

  9. Amii Phantom always struck me as a weird unit to represent Amii. From the lore I always saw them as some kind of mystical creatures, not human-like. A bit like the boss fight spirits from the upcoming Kena Bridge of Spirits game, or the Changelings in Magic the Gathering Kaldheim set.

never checked any updates before because I simply wanted to play. didnt expect there to be freebies, price changes and other major updates

Thats all fine and all, but the info was out there. If you cant be bothered to check the news page or the other communication channels that mentioned it (and also the ingame chat had a lot of people asking when the booster discounts would end) its not really a matter of non-communication from the team.

  11. Also, im not even on the development team, so no need to get angry with me. But yea, as Zyna pointed out, this has been stated clearly, and if you were somehow able to install the game, you just choose not to read everything fully. I get the frustration, but no need to lash out at the people who are trying to help, or even better, making you able to play the game at all.

  12. As you can see stickied, the game has released and is out of beta.

With this came the promised (and final) reset. Like you, everyone got set back to square 0 and has to earn all cards again.

The good news is that the game is alive and kicking and more and more people are returning. A lot of them saw the reset coming and stopped playing till it happened. Both PvP and PvE are doing great.
