  1. Today I played only Unranked  PvP games (2v2 and 3v3) for more than an hour and accumulated around 2000 Gold (won half the games).

Compare that to rPVE level 9 where within 20 minutes a player gains around 4500 gold (including gold crates).

In that hour I could have played 3 rPvE level 9 games where I would have gained more than 13,000 gold.

That is more than 6 times compared to PvP.

    That is not balanced IMO.

No wonder most players prefer PvE over PvP.

PvP should reward much more gold than it is now.

  2. I don't think the developers can nerf or take away the Unlimited decks now.

    Some players will get upset.

We need to find a way to encourage players to play Collection decks instead of Unlimited.

That can be done via more boosters/BFP/Gold rewards for playing with collection cards.

  3. Long time ago I suggested adding deck level range to the setup of PvP games.

For example, the game will allow deck level from 1 to 20, or 20 to 60 and so on.

This feature will insure that players with similar deck levels play together.

The downside is that it requires more PvP players so there is enough games to accommodate everyone.

Therefore, I believe that much higher gold reward should be given in PvP games.

Right now it's easier to grind gold in PvE.

I enjoy PvP much more than PvE yet I feel I am forced to play Random PvE because of the greater gold reward.

The quest minimum difficulty is based on your pve rank. The higher rank you get, the higher difficulty the quest will be. However this is only a minimum, so completing the map on a higher difficulty is also allowed to complete the quest. The description will be changed to make this clear.

    That is good to know.

    Thank you.

  5. The numerous new achievements are refreshing and exciting, so needless to say that is a great new feature for the game.

I would like to suggest adding new Achievements periodically to replace those that were completed.

For example, once we complete the achievements that involve playing with Viridya, Rogan, Brannoc, and Moon with their specific colors you can introduce:

Play PvE/Campaign with Viridya and Rogan with Nature and Frost cards.

Play PvE/Campaign with Viridya and Brannoc with Nature and Fire cards.

Play PvE/Campaign with Viridya and Moon with Nature and Shadow cards.

    And so on........

Also, what about MO related achievements?

  6. The latest patch which interduces the PvP collection mode is a commendable effort by the developers to address this issue.

However, I am afraid it is not going far enough to resolve the issue.

I predict most players will continue to play "Unlimited" PvP and  ignore the "Collection" PvP mode.

My suggestion is to change "Ranked PvP" to collection mode only and increase its Gold reward greatly in order to attract more players to that mode.

Higher gold reward will also be useful for grinding PvP cards.

  7. On going advertisement is the solution to keep the game alive.

There are many RTS gamers out there who never heard about Battleforge or Skylords.

The test beta started in 2018 and I only heard about it in January 2020 after watching a YouTube video about upcoming strategy games in 2020.

Skylords was at the end of the video.

I am a big RTS fan since 2001 and I always follow the news about upcoming RTS games and Skylords escaped me for full 2 years.

    The game needs more exposure.

So developers and fans, please email/twit gaming writers and asked them to cover Skylords.

Guess why? It's because the mayority of people want that change.

To quote Blizzard's devs: "You think you do, but you don't."

Without the decks pvp will suck. And people wont play it. Include top lvl people. An this will make it suck even more. See something?

Players will prefer to play "Unlimited" because it's easier but then we all lose the fun of grinding PvP cards.

My proposal still leaves "Unlimited" as an option for Unranked games so nothing is lost.

I am simply proposing no "Unlimited" option for ranked games with much greater Gold reward which can be then used for grinding.

It's a good solution for both "Unlimited" and "Collection" PvP players.

  9. Many expressed disappointment for not having to grind for PvP cards.

I started to play the game in January 2020 and was able to obtain all cards by release day.

Now that I am experiencing the new method I also share the same disappointment of not having to grind for PvP cards.

  10. In the past several months I have sent messages via Twitter as well as emailing more than 10 PC Gamer Magazine writers asking them to review Skylords or at least write something about it.

So far I got two responses from @JonBolds and @AsaTj who both expressed interest.

However, neither one of  them wrote about the game as of yet.

Perhaps the developers and other fans could join my ongoing effort.

I still feel there are not enough players in PvP mode.

Often there are no games to be found in PvP and more than often there are only expert players in PvP.

It may be a good idea to increase the Gold reward in PvP to encourage players to play it more.

Or we realize that achievements are supposed to remain what they are: achievements. Not every achievement is for everyone and just because some players cannot finish it, is absolutely no reason to get rid of them. If anything, I would consider the reserves achievement to be the best achievement we have thus far. I have read so many players who had as goal to complete this achievement and felt rewarded once they did so. If achievements are too easy they stop being rewarding or have any meaningful impact. Plus you totally defeat the purpose of having said achievements.

There are different achievements for different people. Calling this achievement not achievable is very unfair, especially considering more than 15% of players have already completed it.

In order to go below 100 BFP reserves a player has to play around 3 hours straight.

If I do that I will end up hearting my hand since I am not young any more,  so for me this achievement is unachievable.

If your goal is to make certain achievements very hard to achieve then I guess you achieved your goal.

I view achievements more like quests, not too hard to achieve once you put your mind to it.

In any case, I don't think there is anything unfair about expressing an opinion.

We never had a reconnect feature. We have game and forge servers, and you likely lost connection to the game server which meant your game froze. You were still connected to the forge server (which handles for example chats), which means you were able to still chat.

Would it be possible to add a re-connect feature?

Internet connections sometimes go in and out fast, and it would be a shame to lose some daily awards after 30 minutes of gameplay just because Internet connect was lost for a few seconds.

I fgeI feel the issue with the achievement is that it takes way too long to reach below 25 bfp. At that low of a reserve, the recharge rate is almost as fast as how much you drain. I played games of about 17-20 minutes, giving me about 13 bfp. But the reserve also gained like 8 bfp at that point..

Yes, I agree, it can be very frustrating for those who try to make the free booster achievement thinking they are going to make it after hours of gameplay only to be disappointed later.

Either make that achievement achievable or get rid of it.

Game should not resume as there is no reconnect feature, game resuming before was when internet would still be plugged in but it freezes I think

Actually, I can confirm that in the past when I lost my Internet for a few seconds the game froze and then resumed.

Also, how is it I was able to communicate with my opponent while the game was frozen if it wasn't for the game to be able to re-connect?

  15. 1 minute ago, Ultrakool said:

Faster time the reserve goes down means less bfp will be given out overall ?

    That was not the issue.

The question from @MutterTeresa was in relation to winning a booster by achieving BFP reserve going bellow 100, 50 and 25.

He wanted to know how long does he needs to play in order to achieve that.

My answer was - very long.

I would suggest decreasing that time, at least for going below 100 BFP reserves.

  16. Are there any plans to advertise the game?

Advertising on PC Gamer magazine for example will help greatly.

It is still hard to find PvP matches in certain hours of the day.

Increasing the numbers of players will be very helpful.

Thanks for bringing this awesome game back again!

I have a simple question and maybe someone can do the math for me. There are achievements (with rather good rewards) for depleting the BFP reserve below 100, 50 and 20 BFP.

How long will it take with the current system do do these achievements if we are asuming a full reserve at the beginning and a constant play time without any pauses and the normal refill rate of the reserve?

    Thank you very much!

It takes very long time to go below 100 BF reserve.

Probably 90-120 minutes after your complete your 45 daily minutes.

    That's too long IMO.

  18. My game froze twice today and wouldn't resume after that.

The first time it happened I checked my internet and noticed it was down.

However when my internet resumed after a few seconds my single player campaign game remain frozen.

My second game was 1v1 ranked game.

After the game froze, I was still able to communicate with my opponent via in-game texting and his game didn't freeze.

My conclusion is - that once Internet is lost and regained the game remains frozen and unable to resume gameplay.

This is NOT how it used to be.

During Beta testing my game froze here and there but it always resumed within a few seconds and sometimes even after a whole minute.

Testing this issue should be easy.

Simply start playing, then disconnect the internet cable, then plug it back in and see if the game resumes.
