Guys having played a lot of games for a lot of years i can feel you in all honesty. But lets be real thats what dailies in every game feel like. And i am not talking about the start or mid game when you actively enjoy or dont mind having to do that stuff for the rewards, i mean the mid/late late game when they become what their names is... dailies.

If you have any game that dailies are not a chore anymore after you do them for weeks then pls reccomend it to have a look at what that game does that dont make their dailies feel like something that 'forces' you to do them. Also what would you reccomend in place of what we have now? Having a lot of different quests makes it that you will enjoy some and dont enjoy some. Having too few quests is the same with the exception you might have the same repeatable quests more often. Choosing what you want to do exactly well then lets dismantle the qhole quests idea and have everyone get 150 bfp daily in their inbox.

Some days you will get lucky and have good q's, some other day not so much and then on a few days like the fellow who made this post. Any new ideas highly appreciated

The whole existence of dailies is inherently flawed in a game such as Battleforge in my opinion. Daily quests were put in to encourage gameplay and the sake of having dailies. But if there were no dailies and instead I was given the extra bfp for spending time in ANY map I'd be having fun 100% of the time.

What they stand for are redundant and the same could be achieved by simple game time.

  2. This is exactly what I'm trying to get through. The quests should motivate you to play the game more but they're often the exact opposite for me. Going through maps or colors I dislike in order to get currency feels terrible. I can't even reroll more than once. I should be able to pick the mode I prefer and get the quests done there.

How is it mandatory? - you only make it mandatory if you give yourself a goal to achiev with the BFP. U can alos just play ... I am on @Bkingn opinion. You gotta do at least something to earn your free currency.

I intend to, I don't have a problem with 'having to work' for currency. My problem is with specific quests that require me to play colors I don't want to play. All this would be solved if I could keep rerolling my dailies which for whatever reason I can't do.

Dude crying about free bfp quests imagine playing OG BF when u got daily 1 bfp xdddd

Free bfp quests are quite mandatory given how its all about grind now. And Im not crying, Im giving my feedback about things I dislike. I'm sure for those who can spend all their days playing Battleforge this system is great but as someone whose priority lies elsewhere and can't afford to do such things, is not.

And just FYI, I did play OG Battleforge. The game where I could spend money instead of playtime to not fall back behind everybody else.

Not missing anything, booster prices will go from 350/375/400 (with one per day at 250/275/300) up to 450/475/500 (with one per day at 350/375/400). On a daily basis, without anything from the reserve, you would get 150BFP for completing 2 quests, and another 250BFP from 45 mins playtime, and earn the discount. That is precisely enough to buy a mono-colour deck so yes, you'd need to complete the quests for that, or to either have some leftover BFP from previous days, or to dip into your reserve by 25 to 75 if you choose not to complete one of the quests.

That said, saying "I only play shadow and nature so the other two colors I cannot finish" is a self-imposed restriction. The only quests I remember relating to a colour are to play x number of cards of that colour right? Well we all got given starting decks that cover any colour, and since you don't even need to win to complete those quests, you're simply choosing not to do so. Nothing wrong with that, but it is entirely your choice.

Self-imposed restriction? I want to play the game for fun, not to do chores. Wasting my time with a tutorial deck in a beginner mission just to summon x number of units is not my idea of fun and also isnt something my limited free time allows me to do.

I cannot reroll my quests more than once, which is also stupid and there is no logical reasoning behind this.

If we take the normal booster as an example: Originally it costs 450BFP, but with the current 100BFP discount until 18th of January you can buy it for 350BFP or even for 250BFP if you also have the daily 100BFP discount.

After the 18th of January the booster will be set back to its original price of 450BFP, after which you can buy it for 350BFP if you have the daily 100BFP discount.

Hold on, don't we only get 250 bfp with the daily boost though? So in order to be able to buy a single booster daily I'd also have to complete both my quests, even tho there are some I cannot complete (I only play shadow and nature so the other two colors I cannot finish) and since I previously rolled into them I also can't reroll them anymore.

Is this correct or am I missing something?

  7. Why is this card so damn slow? It's very restricted with the 3 shadow orbs to start with, it's got clear counters both in pve and pvp, never been super amazing or broken..there's no need for it to be so sluggish on top of everything. Can you make it so it's got the same speed as Primeval Watcher for example?

  8. Where can I download all the tracks? I know someone uploaded them in the cloud a long time ago but I can't find the post anymore :( Other sources I found never had all the tracks on their lists..

    Thanks guys

Same situation ... Just wait for the fix :) ... Even companies like Blizzard cant handle game/datadisc launch :)

Sorry to break it to you but there is no 'fix'. It's entirely up to them whether they increase the number of people they let on their server or not. Until then you either get lucky or you don't.

  10. Some useful links that worked for me:

    1. https://www.dllme.com/zip-download.php?code=169e87a5fddb2f70786c0e8eede6c6be&type=dll&file=26368

I was missing a .dll file so I downloaded it manually.

    2. https://doc-0c-bo-docs.googleusercontent.com/docs/securesc/58rn1o7c4ksuaqnd1iinre2j29rbgbto/4cvibvfjubaqfkl9nt7f8oemjdqjub8e/1536177600000/16820607929116799817/01169803187227484689/0B0h-NHKRYdb3cHRDQzlXMzNpNGc?e=download&nonce=jll2ko5e8645e&user=01169803187227484689&hash=6vl4k0l16ol6ltmqhnt62vb3u7bm0b2c

For missing utility softwares so you can actually launch the game. Run the program and it will automatically install everything needed. Restart your PC when done (I was missing most of these because of a fresh OS install).

    Tl;dr

download Battleforge client -> download updater -> extract everything in the SAME FOLDER -> update your softwares and drivers with the links above or manually -> GGWP

    1. I'll ask again - what level of professionality do you expect from bunch of students? This is our first bigger project, for all of us. Mistakes did, do and will happen in forms that you've described until we learn a lesson and consequently stop doing the same sooner or later.

    2. Useless to you, but gives an insight on what has been going on and the amount of work that's put into the development. Would it be better not to post anything? Would it be better for us to go silent and not try to talk with you as community or showcase anything at all? Just like you called it useless, you could've said we just make up those changelogs and nothing is really going on regarding development. And trust me, there is more than dozen of people that gladly read it.

    3. I agree with this part

I don't have anything against hobbyist developers, in fact I do think it's an admirable thing you're doing there, just try to communicate clearer and try to refrain from using very, very suggestive comments about how the project is nearing a state where everyone can access the game; I've been following this project since the beginning and frankly, I've seen more broken promises here than in a teenage drama show.

Re-introducing the progress bar is a great idea; to be honest, apart from knowing there's probably a lot going on behind the curtains I don't have the slightest clue about how close or far we are from a properly functioning game. This may be due to my own damn ignorance or simply bad communication. The progress bar at least gave us the illusion that we were heading towards something that is going to be working one day - eventually.

Lastly, I don't want to come down as an ungrateful brat. Despite my comments here I really think this whole project is something cool and will ultimately end up in us getting to enjoy our favourite game again - thanks to you.

    Amen
