Made a Linux installation video using Steam Proton

It works for me. I hope it works for others too. Much easier than using Lutris (broken for me) or Wine directly. Just need Steam.

Tested it in multiplayer map too. It runs very well. I am using Ubuntu 22.04.

Thanks for sharing! For me it works with wine as well, but maybe using Proton can make the setup easier and less of a hastle.

Thanks a lot for the guide!

With the newest update it became even easier when using this method! 😄
Now you only have to:

1. Create a folder called Battleforge.
2. Download SkylordsRebornUpdater.exe from the website.
3. Add SkylordsRebornUpdater.exe as Non-Steam Game to Steam.
4. Enable Proton via compatibility settings.
5. Press Play in Steam

Yeah with new launcher it's a pleasure to run on linux.
I can also confirm it runs on Manjaro Linux (which is on Arch), and for me it's working through Heroic Games Launcher
Proton 10.0 is making Skylords working without visual glitches I had on regular Wine
