The key to keep people hyped is involve them, so let them know whats going on, I showed a mate and the first thing he saw was "oh its been over a month since they've done anything"

Even small updates or small fixes can be included to keep the hype up. This is simple marketing.

All I have to say on this is it is the  developers and other members of staff are humans as well, they have a real life, work, school and even families. It is the holidays. I have a thread that you can find easily which I personally update with latest bugs and issues found as well as recent fixes you can find the link here:

Just because there isn't an update on the devplatform doesn't mean no progress has been made. The developers are busy so they don't always get time to update. No need to force them to update by making rude status posts. You should be happy and grateful they're using their free time to make this game for us all to play once again. As for your marketing comment yes that is true but the game isn't even fully up and running so why start marketing an unfinished game?

In order to keep hype you need to provide information to be hyped about. You go work on a project that's largely based on luck in decoding packet data, add some studies and private time to that, and provide a constant update flow that isn't uninteresting BS that makes members think we're just messing around. It will prove harder than you think.

We're being honest here and you should really know that we have lives too and we can't make progress every day, we're not a game development team and this is not the only project we work on in our lives. This is voluntary and we put a lot of heart into this. We don't put this heart into this project to have people complain about problems that are out of our hands and depend on luck and developer time. We already update the platform and project as much as we can, and I am so sorry we do not meet up to your hype standards but that is just the way it is. That's the way our project pipeline works, as we can't/don't get paid, it's not our full-time job and the nature of our work plus environmental factors disallow us to use the "marketing" technique you propose. That is just simple Production and Planning.

I'm sorry but you cannot suggest nor demand a plan of action that a project like ours cannot fulfil. This is in fact quite rude. We are working on this as a team, and that requires you to trust us, but most importantly to stay patient. Asking us to update more often will not speed up our progress, nor keep hype as we already update when we can. In the end it just comes down to you needing to be patient. I know that is hard and upsetting, it is for us all, but just be patient and hold on. We'll update when updates can be made, and SR will come when it is ready. Until then, try to stay hyped, and if not that's too bad. Marketing is not going to help there as we're not going to pussyfoot around nor lie to our community.
