Maybe I miss something, but what is the point of these ranking without replays ?

I mean its great showing off a time like that ,congratz but the community wont benefit anything from it

Everything is kept as a secret when asking around, nothing to learn from

There is no actual reward attached to the ranks like BFP or money, so i ask why ?

    Kind of selfish imo

    Just a bad old tradition.
In every other game there is no problem when speedrunners share their knowledge with others.

Northland Drake is already very powerful card, which literally deletes enemy XL units from the game. It's a key card in my Expert Campaign deck, and certainly does not need switch to T4. Depending on your playstyle, you can use both affinities, I use (O) to kill Coldsnapped XLs even more, but many players just freeze whole armies with (B) affinity.

Pure Frost already has Ironclad/Battleship/Dreadnought on T4 which are strong and cool, and if one was to decrease Northland Drakes orb requirements, then it still has to compete with Battleship and other faction options. As a common card, it has no chance here. And with it's current role, it's strong and nicely scales to early T4.

    As a T3 XL slayer? It's awesome.

Im absolutely sure that properly balanced Tempest can replace ND, though also we can get a chance to see at once 3 Frost in PvP, which is now very bad option.
For PvP Northland Drake is very weak choice and there is no chance that we will be able to balance him for that purpose.

  3. I also dont think it's possible to properly balance Tempest for T4.
Though we have better option - we can make buffed Northland Drake T4, which will help us achieve more simmetry between factions also get a chance to buff Pure 3 Frost deck in PvP (it's very hard to balance flying units for PvP). Also I think it's only option to buff Northland Drake.
Instead of Northland Drake, Tempest can become T3 unit with 3 Frost requirement and some balance changes. It's a big field for experiments. At the end we will get nice T4 flying unit for PvE and reliable 3 Frost PvP deck.

    Hi,

Why the Treespirit nefr? :( he was not so strong due to the low mobility and slow attacks already, compared to a WW start.

It just lowers the intention to use anything else but ww on t1

In PvP it was really toxic, that's the reason.

It would be nice if the original post (or someone) could compile a list of suggested changes plus their possible down and upsides.

This is not an official statement, but thus far the option to create "Free PvP" PvP matches or "Collection" PvP matches sounds like the best compromise (assuming each mode has a healthy amount of players). That way players who want to play with maxed out decks can do so against other players with maxed out decks, and players who wanna build up their deck can do so and play against other players who also do the same.

Collection - Regular mode, Lended decks - Ranked mode, isnt it?

  6. Im absolutely sure for players who enjoy competitive modes -  PvP or speedrun PvE - grinding is most annoying part, absolutely horrible and needless part of the game!
I dont see right now any possible option for speedrunners, but for PvP probably it would be enough to give free decks only in ranked mode.

  7. Lol stealing ideas ahahah that's crazy.
For example when I create idea about balance in BF I never say it's mine, because it's just meaningless.

    -  fully upgraded PvP decks - to me it this really feels quite unsystematic, it will increase the spread between the cheap and expensive cards even more. As it will render some portion of the booster drop not interesting (every player will have them fully charged), therefore people collecting the remaining cards, which will push the price more higher. So if you happen to like some another deck than you will have to spend much more time to build it

Iit will make some of expensive cards cheaper because players who prefer only PvP won't need anymore to buy charges for their core cards so market supply will increase.

I was not talking about forum (you can find guides here too). I was talking literally about the help folder in the rar you downloaded.

So I can not create a link for you because I do not know where you extracted it.

Any idea how to rebuild maps as community maps if we are talking about maps where there is no "human" player in Map Editor?

GoL: are ice brriers (with infernal machines) strong enough to kill the last wave which spawns when destroying the building in the corner?? also, when I remember correct, that tactic dies mit hurt flying units?!

Yeah, exactly, flying units also will die if everything correct. You should build Ice Barriers in ideal positions to block incoming wawes so no more units will come until the very end. At the end Infernal Machin kill them. It's hard to find ideal position btw.

I concur with most things above, just wanted to say I will happily comment on the particular  topic above. :) Have done so in posts in the past and now again:

Infect now cost a shitload of BFPs and will so even after reset, I am dead sure...why, with fewer boosters opened market availabilty will be even less (I mentioned this somewhere in the forum, to get 50 people have Infect fully upgraded requires 66000 boosters to be opened), eg. supply will be less and demand high. Also, I am not so sure people will spend 1000 BFPs on a shadow booster for a slim chance to get an Infect. Tried one yesterday and drew a Plague as rare and Shadow Phoenix as uncommon, so wasting around 700 BFPs on that one...

Have said it in the past and I will say it again, slowness will never be a successful attribute of this game, grinding like crazy to get cards, upgrades and such is only fun to a certain extent, crossing that bored out of your senses boundary will have people rage quit not being able to successfully beat an rPvE level 6 map and then not ever opening up the game again...my experience tells me, game is most fun when you have access to all cards that matter and to me that is when it starts not ends (multiple people in the forum wrongly believes that game ends once you have all cards...)

    // Ponni

Keep in mind this upcoming change btw

Of course, everyone can claim to have had the same idea. That they had the idea at all, before or after someone else cannot be disproven. But, there are still people that had the idea and then did play it first. ;)

That's good, if your team finally accept this now we can start with next step.

There is a big and old "enmity" between our and the mostly russian team. So if we would post our replays it would mainly be helpful for them. They are the only team that has the time and knowledge to learn a lot from this replays . They simply could stick the best out of both team tactics together. But after they never would post their own replays to us?! They dont even wanted to share MOTM rpve replays in the past....!

So i dont will help to improve and maybe beat our times without a realistic change to see a replay from the other side to do the same. We invested years of gaming to develop so i dont will give it out without the chance of a fair reaction.

This is my point of view. I know it could work different for speedruns and the community - but thats the situation we have right now. So sorry for the rest of the community.

But still we are working to share some semi-speedruns from some of the maps to make it easier for new players to develop own speedruns tactics that could be competetive against the existing teams if they work hard enough.

Some members of your team always say that you share speedrun strategy while other team - no matter was it previous team or our current team - never do this.
Though it's not true. You never showed something valued. For example I immediately shared my old Soultree record with everyone, and also told Lebovin (so your team) how to do it 10 seconds faster, and Halis also told your team a trick how to do it 2.5 faster. I even showed how Im trying to improve my strategy in Discord for Lebovin when I already had 9.25.7.  What I got as a return from your team, which is "always willing" to share replays?
When I got new record on Soultree Pritstift told me that I shouldnt play with Russians because they never share their replays. So I was interesting about his speedrun replays on youtube - and found nothing, but found replays from Russian team.
If we are talking about rPvE which we "even didnt want to share" - when we had 15-19 and Treim with Pritstift had 15-30 we also shared replay with your team when you asked, though it was far from ideal - and that was the only reason why we discussed should we share it or not, and I told this reason for Treim immediately when he asked our replay. Eventually we shared that replay which didnt show our strategy properly and it was really interesting to see that completely different strategies lead to nearly same time.
Thanks for MephistoRoss - it's easy to compare how many replays of your team and opposite team were shared:

https://youtu.be/V4L05824xFY - Siege of Hope - your team - already existed on youtube and is very well known for everyone - not really unique.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuBNa_UOpj4 - Soultree - by our team - unique.
https://youtu.be/vb4hYo-Wm9E - Treasure Fleet - old Russian team replay - unique.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzEa1SFHDS4 - Convoy - old Russian team replay - unique.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJbwIB3eoho - Crusade - old Russian team replay - unique.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O539pdiE7Uw - Guns of Lyr - your team - unique, though opposite team had nearly same strategy and 9 second difference (but less time to practice), but ceased to exist earlier, so you could safely share it.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cRlgrsj_2k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M54qssuYV2E - Bad Harvest - old Russian team - unique.
https://youtu.be/yaCIwuObrr8 - Titans - solo by your team - was an improvement of already shared solo speedrun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jqo4ElIXBYk
I hope after these proof links your team will forget your own legend that you share replays while opposite team dont do this.

  13. Idea is simple - somehow give all cards with U3 upgrades, but only for ranked PvP.
This will definetely lead us to bigger activity in PvP and also game will become more attractive for player from other RTS games, where in PvP matches you usually have access to every unit from the start. These new people will help us to keep game and community alive.
I know at least one SC2 player with good youtube audience who had an idea to play in BF PvP until he realized that even for PvP he should collect and upgrade so many cards... If he would start to play we could have more players from his youtube channel, and also it will be easier for newcommers from other RTS enjoy Battleforge and many other cases like this.
For unranked PvP, cPvE and rPvE you will still have to collect cards and enjoy collection.

And I can acknowledge that too and totally concur on not bearing with people who only take and take and never give anything back.

Though if you simply check existing list on forum you can easily notice that members of this former Russian team shared more speedruns than other team, which shared only GoL when difference was only 9 seconds and other team ceased to exist which was well known for them so they could share it safely; and solo Titans which was not really new due to nature of this map - and also was shared earlier but with one minute difference.
Of course Treim is special, but it's his own unique contribution for the community with solo replays of rPvE - and rPvE requires different apporach every month.

    1) Old batariel tactic

It is true that the old russian team had a similar tactic but this tactic was just partially batariel and followed a different approach how to use him. I could post the old russian replay here and you can compare it with our video on Youtube - its completely different and also sometimes really chaotic compared to our clean strategy. I have no reason to lie - 100% true. The replay can proof this.

Just to add we got the old replay from the old russian Team itself after our tactic was on youtube - so no german devs were involved like the russian player Asgard would suspect:P

Also there was a fair reaction at least from the player Ahha who regognized that both teams had a similar approach but played it completely different. In consequence he also regognized that the attack from Asgard in the forum just was stupid and completely senceless.

It's good that at least you accepted now that you wasnt first with that idea, because it's not possible to understand somehow who was first when we are talking about ideas.
Same for blocking with Infernal Machines - I remember how we were surprised when we saw your time and realized that somehow you got same stratregy.

After the batariel tactic which is on youtube our team developed first ever the next level tactic with block and infernal machine. Was funny to see that an old idea which we were not following first was so much better compared to batariel :-). Later some other teams followed - where ever they got the information from.:wrathgazer:

First ever used in June 2019 :-)

Idea with Ice  Barriers was originally developed by Hittimo, not your team, be honnest.
And also no one knows now, who was first with Batariel idea, there was a big dispute here, your team or team which do not exist now, though when you placed it on youtube difference was only 9 seconds and other team already ceased to exist.

I think changing the description (basically removing that U3 supossedly adds 10 % better ratio) is the right choice indeed. Nothing gameplaywise changes, but the card description matches reality ;)

Oh mb they can adjust energy to 60% so we will see some speedruns even faster...and also PvP 3vs3 will become crazier.
