After playing a 2 player PvE game using the "Assign" loot distribution option, the party leader cannot assign any of the loot rewards to any of the player After re-logging, none of the upgrades where in my inventory and my gold amount did not change.

Have you considered BFP rewards for long term "achievements"? Like beating all PvE maps on Expert? Reaching Rank X on PvP? Play 1000 Expert PvE games? Win 1000 PvP games? Things which take takes a long time but can be completed one small piece at a time really gives good "motivation" to keep playing. Playing a game mode where there is a reward at the end of thousands of games gives a bit more "meaning", in my opinion.

Personally, I really like the idea to buff boosters. I would also be on board to make boosters even harder to obtain to justify an even higher reward. In other games, Hearthstone comes to mind, opening boosters are very anticlimactic because of the low drop rates. Opening 5 packs at a time with X ratio is less fun than opening 1 pack with 5X ratio. But hey, I'm sure you devs know what you are doing. I am just some guy on the Internet.
