  1. i compaired several slow units of all elements with each other and noticed both Battleship and Construct being considerably slower than other slow units such as Thunder Wagon or Spore Launcher. While this may be a feature that can be circumvented on Battleship with "Full speed ahead" bringing it up to normal speed (whoever had that idea, absolute geniuous!) Construct is at a huge disadvantage.

Since many other XL units got additional abilities, reworks, slow even removed (Magma Fiend), i believe there should be a solution for Construct as well.

Adding "Full speed Ahead" to Construct as a feature that only frost has might allready do the trick, as in mixed decks one would be encouraged to play with cards that grant ice shields as a balance.

As it stands now Construct has been never used in any Maps i played ever which is a shame. I understand Ironclad has completely taken over the role of ranged Frost XL, but still, the treatment of Construct is quite unreasonable.

  2. what would be an actual improvement in quality of life is when stonekin critters would automatically appear in the same unit group as Deepfang. its possible to add them manually of course, but its kinda annoying to do so over and over.

Did you notice that the harvester has a built in healing ability?

i did, but the Bandit dragons paralize him instantly and generally take the match in the NPCs favor (i absolutely hate those things.) combined with the frailty of both Harvester and Batariel its not easy for me to keep him alive, at least i didnt manage yet.

But the mission in general is hilarious, the idea is superb and much better than the map "Mo" which was probably the main inspiration here. and then the added abilities and even a form change. just proper comedy that was.

Seriously!!!!   I don't think so.  They tried to kill it 10 years ago and now look where we are.   I've been playing this for approximately 1 month.   I have had a great time grinding and building my decks.  Now I have a deck which is 100 +.   People....we have to work to get what we want, this means grinding.   People who (even though they work in real life) have to grind to achieve, and if you do have a job it's going to take longer.  Well that's life!      Do you really want to get everything you need quickly just so you can beat people at PvP????    When this first came out years ago and I started playing PvP I got murdered for months until I could get a decent deck and also build my playing skills up.  When I finally started winning I felt like I really had achieved something.   Imagine if I didn't have to grind and get my cards and upgrades, where is the challenge in that?

So my advice.  Play with what you have, get cards and upgrades like everyone else, and stop whining!  Get better!  Then you will have really achieved something.  :bf:

you do realise that Battleforge was and is still a niche game, that the playerbase is small and now all grown up and bound in families and job, yes? all thats left are loyalists who just want to enjoy the game that was taken from them.

if you frustrate them too much, they will leave and further reducing the player count - who will buy your ridiculously overpriced cards then?

the easiest way of fixing the card economy without giving everyone every card is locking the maximum prices, maybe like max 150-300 bfp for normal cards, 3000 bfp for promos. that way, everyone has their old deck basis back in 20-40 days max of daily quest reward bfp and a promo card would take you 20 days of the daily quest reward bfp.

maybe modify the prices a bit to your liking (max 500 bfp for normals, max 5000 for promos) but that would be a much easier solution imo, since some cards prices are just insane and make me wish EAs rule back when we had the option to throw money at the problem.

  5. i got to relevate something: after just one day, maybe 2h of playing and doing all the quests i got a quite capable deck. not good, but will do for a start.

however, since the game is more likely to lose player than to gain them, i still think its better to just give the people all the access they want. the economy you created in the game is doomed to fail sooner or later, since everyone gets boosters with cards that inflate in price to the point where no one is willed to invest that much time for single cards.

so when someone gets rare cards he cant sell them bc they are too expensive in relation to the work we have to invest in and at the same time the cards get cheaper and ultimately worthless due to the dozens of cards people get a day.

  6. i have the same problem currently.

not one of the quests actualises: play a set amount 30minutes, win campaign PVE matches, and open gold chests.

i definitely played longer than 30 minutes and got the asked 7 chests. played only one PVE match, but not even that gets regognised.

We're not forcing anyone to play on our servers, if you are unsatisfied you can simply leave. We run the game the way we think it will be the most enjoyable for all players, and I'm sorry if you think otherwise. Don't be so entitled, we owe nothing to no one.

sorry for my rather expressive way of seeing things but i was exited to realise that there is a playable beta and was hugely disappointed and thus frustrated.

but saying "we dont owe anything to no one" is rather easy to say for someone who can change everything, including the amount of BFP on his own account i wager, to his liking at any moment.

i thought this was a beta to find bugs, bugs are most easily found when there are a maximum amount of players using and testing everything they can. especially with a playerbase that limited. and as soon as you reset the beta and have all the players begin from nothing for the third time, you will lose a big part of them, further reducing the player count.

in a way its worse than under EAs reign, at least then we had different options.

  8. i started playing yesterday and im frustrated and kinda disappointed. consider this: Skylords is a dead-thought game, played only by about 500-1500 Battleforge-loyalists and about 50-150 of them are online at all times you log in. this old games only reason to still exist is nostalgia, so why not give the players the chance to reexperience their best decks?

whats the point of grinding in the game? we all lost our good decks and want nothing else than to play and tinker (i spent probably more time with tinkering with my decks than actually playing it, i really enjoyed that) with them again. now i got to start with a noob deck again, thats not fun at all, its repetition. whats the point of locking the cards behind a "not-paywall" of grinding if there is no money involved anymore? sure its not close as bad as it was under EA reign, but even EA gave us all the cards to play around with in the last few weeks of Battleforges existance.

imo there are a few ways to make it easier for re-beginning players (and yes, im not using "new players" for a reason since there are very likely none, just those who knew and played Battleforge):

    1. unlock all the cards for all the players like in the last few weeks of battlefroge. sure it will hurt the economy of the game a bit but first, its ridiculously overblown due to BFP inflation and second, those who want to maximise their decks will need to buy multiples anyway. so let those players that want to grind their deck to the max grind the upgrades, but sont make us grind for the cards.

    2. give starters 10/20/30/50 boosters to start up again, so they have at least a few options to beginn with other than the bad starter cards (having no XL T4 melee really hurts, a Grimvine would be a good start). we all went through this before and as i allready said, repetition is no fun.

    3. give starters a few hundred BFP go get a few decent cards of their choice, that would also help a lot.

i talked with a few people ingame now and while they say the grinding isnt that bad, and i believe them, not one of them is absolutely sure he will still play as soon as everything gets reset and he would have to re-grind everything for the third time. in fact, many of them plan to leave for good once this happens.

i personally would obviously prefer the first option. i loved to create dozens of decks, really enjoyed it. i remember that i made about 15 decks of stonekin alone: decks that started pure nature or frost and mixed later, or were mixed from the start and only differed in the T1 units, buildings and spells, decks that had no T3 units because of the amii monument, decks with and without wheel of gifts (i really enjoyed the stonekin decks when Deepfang came out bc i had no decent Stonekin T3 units until then due to Rageflame being ridiculously overpriced), deffensive and offensive decks, pure support decks, the list goes on and on. same goes for lost souls which was my second favorite faction to play.

i apologise for the wall of text but i hope i got a few points across that are important to me.

    Greetings from Switzerland :)

PS: since its still a BETA, wouldnt it make sense to unlock all the cards for all players? more players using all the cards means more experiences means more bugs found and reported for fixing.

  9. as it is now, the game isnt exactly fun for re-beginning players. seriously, whats the point of grinding in a game that hasnt more than 100 players at all times anyway? give beginners like 30-50 boosters or even better every card in the game to play around and test (thats what a beta is for, right?). even EA managed to give the players all cards in the last month of Battleforges existance and since the players of Skylords are only veterans that want to play their old decks anyway, whats the point of locking the cards behind a market if there is no financial benefit?

and the best joke is, even if someone has his ultimate deck back in the beta, he will very likely lose all his progress once the beta goes life again, so he has to grind it a third time. doesnt sound like much fun to me.

honestly i was very exited about this game as soon as i heard from it one year ago and did only just notice yesterday that there is a beta, but as it is now, im very disappointed.
