Please mind that that huge amount of players tried to login at the same time. DCs are normal. If you get a specific error please report it at https://forum.skylords.eu/index.php?/forum/41-report-a-bug/

I'm not sure if this is a bug. They are trying to open the chest at the same time and by standing at the trigger point, the chest is opened. I think that this unit behavior was back in the original BF.

Now about your questions. Main focus of the Skylords Reborn dev team is to make the game playable for everyone. Future content is possible, but not in the near future. Don't forget that devs don't own the game and it's still property of EA. As for Lord Cyrian players can get it vi booster or events.
