And I honestly cannot help you without a video. The logs do not help. Please find a way to send me the video.
Do you still see the actions of other players, or does the timer freeze aswell? You are not describing your issue very clearly.
-
Maybe you can record a video? It really sounds strange.

Please send us your _log_proxy_latest.log and crashdata.mdmp file. Both are located in: Documents/BattleForge/Diag.
-
Did you try these two points? If they don't help, you could reproduce the crash, and then send us the crashdata.mdmp, which is in the same location as the _log_proxy_latest.log.
Quote9. Force BattleForge to run in DX9 Mode
Locate the config.json file under in your Documents\BattleForge folder (Default location: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Battleforge\) and open it with Notepad (or any other text editor) by right-clicking on the file and selecting Open With > Choose Default Program… from the local menu.
Once the file has opened, find the entry maxshader and change the value after the double point from false to 768.
Before: maxshader: false,
After: maxshader: 768,

I still have the issue and it minimize right away but then i cant open it anymore.
Please try to always express yourself as clearly as possible. The game closing vs the game minimizing are two very different issues.
The issue with the game minimizing in fullscreen is usually due to other applications. I've heard this can be caused by other applications like Cisco Webex, or League of Legends, and probably even more. You should try to close all other applications and try again. If that doesn't work, can you maybe try deleting your Documents/BattleForge/config.json to reset all your graphics settings? That way the game should be windowed again. -

It should be clear that the game dies again if there aren't any ads invested in,
e.g.: buying Twitchers/Youtubers to create promotional videos. For example playing a few rounds and saying the game's goodThis is impossible, we are not allowed to do paid campaigns.

Given the lack of response, I'll be moving to resolved.

@Architect
I asked around a bit and one dev thinks this might be the issue:
QuoteThis error seems to be because someone has a non-standard vc++ installed. The installer i guess would consider it already installed so it doesnt do anything. The fix i guess would be to manually repair vc++ from the microsoft website in order to override the old version (this might break whatever other funky program is using vc++)
So please try to manually download and repair the following libraries:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Package (x86)
-
Did you manage to resolve the issue by now? If not, maybe try adding an anti-virus exception for the BattleForge directory.

Does the issue happen in every match? It seems your PC is blocking the incoming or outgoing connection from the game server the game tries to connect to when you press "Start game". This could be due to a firewall or an anti virus or something else blocking the connection. Could you try playing with a VPN to see if it helps?
-
This is more of a suggestion rather than a bug, this is technically not feasible for us to change though.
-
Is your Documents/BattleForge directory Read-Only by any chance? Or is it maybe managed by a cloud syncing software? Usually the logs work as expected.
-
Are you still having that issue? Does the game really close right away, or does it just minimize? Please include your Documents/BattleForge/Diag/_log_proxy_latest.log in your report aswell.

@Ch4rlez94What was the issue and the solution?
-
Server was having downtimes yesterday.

Awesome.

Downtimes only lasted for an hour, moving this to resolved.

What error are you receiving?
-
Are you ALT+Tabbing out of the game while in fullscreen, that definitely causes units to disappear sometimes? If no, please try changing your graphics settings (e.g. disable SSAO).
conection issue?

Glad to hear it solved your issue! The next step would be to find out what exactly is blocking the connection, but that's optional.
