  1. NAME: Game crash in match room

DESCRIPTION: I had created a room for Titans Advanced, and while waiting for people to join, I hovered over some players' names until their icon showed up. Shortly after the icon was up, the game then crashed. The first time it happened, I was alone in the room at position 4. The second time there were 2 other people in the room with me, taking up positions 1 and 2.

REPRODUCIBILITY: Happened twice in a row.

  2. If you can remember, was anyone during those matches attacking the Nature side of the area just before where Brannoc and Viridya are fighting? The error looks like the one when you destroy one of the Nature buildings just as the game is trying to replace them with fire ones.

The achievement is considered a veteran achievement.
By allowing Advanced, it wouldn't be considered veteran. Only allowing expert was a design choice mainly as some maps were only made on expert difficulty.

Then why couldn't the achievement be considered Intermediate if that's your primary reason for making it expert only? Why are maps that only have expert difficulty being put into this limited "featured" list? Not to mention that door swings both ways, since your "veteran" achievement could be beaten with maps that only have a standard difficulty. That kind of stuff is exactly what I mean by unregulated maps.

  4. That doesn't really mean much, unless the team is actively giving suggestions to the map makers to make fair and balanced maps. Aegolos and King's Ridge Expert are way over tuned for the average player. If featured maps are going to include maps tuned for "Pro-players", then they should've made the achievement work for Advanced.

SoW nerf hurts but it makes sense but was the Satanael Nerf really necessary? When i was playing Satanael at T4 i always had performance issues but it was never even close to unplayable. Are there any players that had performance issues so bad that the game was unplayable for them? Satanael with Snapjaw spam was a very fun niche strategy and now there is no reason anymore to use him at T4.

The game has crashed for me when another player spams too many snapjaws.

Also, not a big fan of an achievement behind expert difficulty of unregulated community maps.

    4. Move affinities to their own passive and change Blessed to mimic Root Nexus (b):
       A. Blessed Supporter(b) --> Tainted Supporter(g) - "Friendly entities connected to the root network within a 25m radius around Sylvan Gate will deal damage that can not be warded off by damage reducing abilities or shields."

That doesn't really sound like it's mimicking what root nexus B does, unless there's also a hidden change happening to that too?

But to be honest, I don't think this will change where Sylvan gate will be in the long run. 3 root nexus get about a similar connection range for only 10 more power at an earlier tier. If there's one thing I learned about making root network defenses on Insane God Expert, is that the initial network needs to be set up quick. By the time a nature player gets T3, they'll most likely already have a system of root nexus, which would make a sylvan gate doing it redundant. I personally liked the heal it gives too, but eh.

Also, increasing the connection range increase doesn't matter as much when the aura from the affinities is still 25m. You'll still be placing it near your front line, which kinda wastes a decent amount of that connection range, as well as still needing 1 at each place you're defending at. The idea was to have 1 of them being the big connection for a whole network, right?

  7. Hello,

Today has been a bit unusual, cause my command latency has been going wild, and I've had 2 crashes saying the connection to the server was cut. This normally happens once in a long while, but it's happened twice within an hour today, so I figured something might be up. I have a wired connection, so my internet connection is normally very stable.

EDIT: And to top it off, I have trouble logging now. I click on login, and I'm getting some connect failed errors. Took 4 tries for it to work, but that's never happened to me before.

  8. I did a search for the SkylordsRebornUpdater.exe.upd file, and nothing came up. Also tried restarting the router, and nothing changed. Also reinstalled again to see if it missed anything last time, but nothing.

EDIT: Well, a new update for the better. Just got back on and thought I'd give it another try, and it worked perfectly. Did all the updates without any trouble, and the game started without any issues and I logged in just as fine. Even now, the tried and true "turn it off, then turn it back on" solution works. *sigh*

Consider this problem closed, and thank you for your time and consideration in trying to solve it.

  9. First thing I'll say is hello, I'm new here.

As for my problem, after I finished installing the game, I ran the updater and it performed a big check of updates, installed about 220ish of them, then the updater restarted itself. Now, it just stays at the checking part, never seeming to find anything for hours. It says it's PATCHER v0.11. I'm currently running it on Windows 7. There didn't seem to be any issues installing from what I saw. Have tried running the updater as an administrator and deleted the Battleforge document folder, for what its worth.

    Thank you for your time.

EDIT: waited 5 hours to see if any progress would be done, and none was, so have now also tried a fresh installation, making sure my antivirus was off during it. It now doesn't seem to even get the first 220ish updates it downloaded the first time, staying at PATCHER v0.4.
