the game was finished in 2013. what you mean by "the game is not finished yet"?

Sry I do not mean that the game itself is not finished.

What I meant is that they still work on the servers and try to make everything work perfectly. Or is that also already finished? I thought we were still in the open stress test?

  2. I'm not sure if this belongs here as I do not know if my problem exists because the game is not finished yet, if the problem exist because it always was like that or for another reason.

    Problem:

When I try to controll my units it sometimes needs more then one click to move them around make them attack, even if they do thinks on one command they sometimes have roughly 0,5 sec of delay between button press and action that seems a bit to much for a fast paced game like BF. When the mouse cursor changes into a sword(when hovering over enemies) or a cross (when hovering over allies) putting an action order out quit often leads to a movement order instead of an attack/heal order.

This bugs(?) to be quit honest feel game breaking especially at higher difficulty.

  3. Hey guys,

I have recently started doing PvP and I thing I already behaved rather rudely.

I have seen on quit a few youtube videos that when a battle is lost but a few structures remain it is seen as good maners to give up (only if there is no chance left of course).

Now during my second Match I made some rather big mistakes and was running behind my enemy the entire match (wellwise). After he managed to destroy two of my wells and a monument I believed it was time to give up.

So I pressed esc and left the match. I was then shown the normal losing screen.

The problem is that in my stats I have now one win (first match) and zero loses (second match should make it one lose). Did I deny my opponent his win? Will my stats stay like that or do they just need time to update? If what I have done was wrong, is there another way to give up that avoids having my opponent running all over the map to destroy my last building/unit?

Another question in regards to my match but not in regards of giving up.

One of the problems I had during the match was that the unit I spawned in the beginning was swapped by my opponents Night guard, I managed to escape and retake my Unit and even kill his nightguard.

The problem was that when wanting to take over a well right after my unit had no ground presents. That lead to me falling behind in wells and was probably the biggest mistake and the one that lead to most other mistakes.

My Question: Is it normal that units that got swapped have no ground presents?

Thanks for your Anwers and to my opponent a hefty apology for messig up the end of the match,

    Tam

When you're not allowed to make money from the game, how are you even allowed to have a patreon page?

They are not allowed to sell any of the game assets, like taking money for cardpacks, taking money for access to the game and such. They are allowed to ask for donations as long as these donations do not give anything inside the game.

  5. This has turned from nice/decent into pretty awesome^^

    good job.

The only thing weird for now seems to be the "T1 T2 T3 T4" below the show map button when choosing colors their it only shows your t4 options and only fo the last orb so for example when taking 4 green orbs i will get every nature and neutral t4 but when i take 3 nature orbs and a t4 shadow orb it does only show neutral t4 and shadow t4 with one shadow and 3 neutral orbs.

Wait a minute, there were no starting cards shadow t1 or nature t2. The ones in the screenshot are all the starting cards (F2P decks).

BTW, these are the starting cards of the old BF, Skylords Reborn may have other starting cards...

    Ah, ok that explains it^^

    Thanks for your answers.

Are you sure you dont have any filters enabled?

    Cards_overview.thumb.PNG.61ec3803ae129f8

Not 100% sure, but i clicked clear all filters (after allowing editing the sheet) and nothing changed, it also looks exactly like in your picture.

I also checked the remaining ~480 Cards and they are all not owned in the sheet.

  8. Hey thank you for that, but as a new player I would have a question regarding this:

    ....

I already marked all the starting cards as 'Owned' and I set some priorities as example (see screenshot 1).....

Are all the starting cards really marked? Because I cannot se a shadow t1 or nature t2.

I also found it curious with an app that followed in the game? It depends a lot on what the app does and if it affects gameplay, and how.

Currently we don't have any fixed features. We just talked about it and wanted user feedback. To give you a small outline what were thinking about: social features, shop, auction house, pre game organization (like making a deck in Battle Forge to give this thread some Skyloards Reborn flavor), some mini games for daily rewards, etc.

When I was playing an MMORPG (FFXIV) they announced an app for the game somewhere close after release. My guilde and I were talking about this quit a bit and the thinks we hoped to be in the app were the following:

-Messages: in game you could send messages to people on your friendlist and we thought it would be cool if we could look at them via app (messages could have items attached)

-friendlist, whisper : to be able to look into our friendlist, send whispers to friend (different from messages as they only get it when they are online or via app and no items).

-Linkshells: these were like chatrooms, people could make one for whatever purpose and invite a finite number of peoplle

-Guildthinks: similiar functions to friendlist, whisper and linkshell but additionally with the entire guildstuff. For example the ingame message for everyone in the guild, seeing whose online and their rank, looking into the guild storage,....

-Item/quest/... catalouge: that is what the app actually ended up to be. We could look up different items and their stats, even npcs and quest information were includet.

-Checking Items: We had different Item storages, checking them out via app and maybe even sorting them and moving thinks from one storage to another (maybe not from storage to actuall bag during a raid or so^^)

-Auctionhoiuse: maybe checking auctions, selling and buying things out and into your storage would be nice

-Retainers: Storage came in the form of NPCs, so called retainers. These retainers could be trained in Figthting and gathering duing task needing either 30min or 18h per task, managing these via app would also be cool

-Crafting: this one is a little bit questionable as we go into one part of the core gameplay here. But beeing able to craft via the app would be pretty nice sometimes.

    For Battleforge:

    -Chatting

    -Auction houses

    -Looking at your Cards

    -macking decks

I think these are somewhat interesting Ideas and just some of them (not necessarily all) would make the app interesting for me. Just keep in mind that, especially if you make an online game, the more task you can accomplish via app, so to say without frequenting the game, the less likely the players will go into the game just to for example check their storages. SO if you make an MMORPG or something else that makes it important for other players to so people log in, then it might be good to carefully balance how much you put onto the app. (<-allthough if we go back to the ffxiv example then they could also just make the crafting char appear in a hub zone to make him visible for others while crafting, might still work out like that)

  10. I filled it.

    To elaborate on two points:

    1. Graphics: For me they are most important during the first few seconds when forming the first impression but even then they just underline the shown gameplay. If the Gameplay looks good/interesting/fun/... and then good graphics improve on a good opinion, if the gameplay looks clunky/boring/otherwise bad then good grafics will not change the bad impression. Additionally the longer I play a game the less do graphics matter(not saying that they do not matter at all, but of all points they are one of the least important for me).

2.Pre-purchase: I only do this under one of two conditions.

2.1. I know and trust the developer (and possible publisher), right now I only do that for Nintendo and Cd project red.

2.2. The prepurchase comes with specific conditions that make it less of a blind deal. Example for this would be Warhammer 40k Battlefleet Gothik, when pre-purchased one could play the beta  from the time of the purchase until release (and of course after release you could play the game), but until release you could always give the game back and get your money back from them, which made this a rather good deal.

And the Devs will choose the players? Or you have to sign up to somewhere to join the open beta i know that not everyone can join it yet but do we need to do something or just wait :D

it seems they will give is a way to sign up for it and whenever space is avaiable players will be randomly choosen and get access

Is your internetspeed good enough? If you have low internetspeed you can downscale the quality in the bottom right corner in twitch (if I remember right)

If your internet is good, but you still encounter the problem you can try watching twitch with the twitch client (what used to be the curse client). Or you can try watching twitch on a different device (laptop/pc/phone)... that might help.

Internetspeed should be good enough I think. It is normaly around 1mb and above (highest "normal" is 3mb), it fluctuates a lot thought because i share my conection with 400 other people (students dorm) and depending on how many are online it can get pretty low. Other things like youtube are working fine thought.

I will try the client oyu advised.

Read the title @Tam Hawkins, "Clearing OPEN BETA Plans". We are not in open beta we are in closed beta. If we were in open beta people would be able to signup. Even above the chatbox in giant red letters "Closed Beta is still in progress. Date for OPEN BETA will be announced soon!" to my understanding that post was called clearing up open beta plans for the people who were wondering how open beta would work in the future, because a lot of people (myself included) did not know how open beta was going to work with the whole signup thing and whatnot.

    Maybe I really misunderstood this.

But I thought the part where people were picked at random and then got the possibility to play was the giveaways they made?

We have never called what we're in now Open Beta, we have always called it Closed Beta @Tam Hawkins not sure where you got that from :P.

But you did and MRXLInk did as well, in this thread:

Technically anyone can sign up to join so yes it is open sadly we can't let everyone who signs up join right away as I have explained up above we don't know of the server will handle everyone.

We've established how it works a long while ago. I agree that the name is a bit off, but it is explained clearly in the FAQ how this works. We've discussed this a number of times and we're sticking to what we've called it from the start to prevent even more confusion. We call it open, because everyone is able to sign up. We call it beta because of the current state of the game. Due to the nature of this project, a "regular" open beta stage seems quite obsolete considering the game itself is in a finished state, and what we are working on influences server stability. In order to get an idea of progression in stages (which honestly is what most people assume development stages are anyway), we call it open beta as anyone can sign up to join.

TL;DR: Yes, we know, we have our reasons, sorry it's unconventional, it'll stay this way.

  15. 1 hour ago, DawsonTheFish said:

There was no open beta yet. Were still in closed beta and waiting for open beta to arrive, its not open if you have to win it through a giveaway.

Yes I know, but the Devs and Mods called it open Beta, that is why i put it in "".

So happy for you all to join in! Trust me I am, if you were watching my streams then you would know why. Regardless ill see you all in the forge soon!

Anyone wanna carry me on bad harvest? Hit me up :kappa:

I would love to watch your streams. Sadly I have some troubles with twitch (basically everytime i get either black screen or total lag fest).

Well either way it seems we can all soon play the game directly instead of just watching others^^

    Thanks FIki^^

  17. was an interesting giveaway,

the format forces you to stay active the entire time (thats probably why it was shorter then ususall.

    Oh i see 2 more to go^^

    Edit:

To bad i dod not win^^

but alas one can't have everything^^
