Returning Player now have 3 second lag pauses

Ive returned to play after a few months away, E
Everytime i  play a game i get 3 seconds lag spikes where the game will pause then speed up to catch up.
This never happened before i have all settings on low thinking it might be a hardware issue on my end.
should i delete my folder settings and install again as i had uninstalled the game previously  but after reinstalling it has kept all my settings from last time.
or is there a way too see where my conection is going as this is the only game i have a problem with

So i have deleted my Batttleforge Folder located in my documents and restarted the game so it would make a new folder, however the Lag still remains .


Edit. I updated my Graphics driver  on this new laptop which is an intel integrated chipset, turns out it was 3 years out of date and has fixed performance problems
