Do you actually have to play with the faction cards of stonekin/lost souls or is it allowed to go in with a pure deck?

[I sort of fucked up the Resolution scaling and cannot change it back due to the screen eating up the options window]

Im having the same issue but the tip how to fix this kubik provided doesnt help me since i dont know what to do with this information. Help is greatly appreciated!
