Using the Map Editor under Linux with Wine

Hello everyone,

Recently I was trying to get the Map Editor to run under Linux, but did not manage to get it to work properly.
I can open the editor, but when I want to create a new map and select any size, I get a Wine error during the "Initializing Engine" dialogue. The full error message is in this pastebin: https://pastebin.com/rhjuRyCG
When I click on "generate ranodm map" however, It works sometimes. The one time I got it to generate a map, it was very laggy and I sometimes get some weird flickers. After some while it also crashed with the following error message:
