FlowerZZ
Hi, I don't know if anyone else had this problem. After I use the updater to install the game the Launcher.exe should be on the file Battleforge, however my antivirus locks Launcher.exe under a treat to my computer. I went to research just to make sure it's ok to run the application either way, and them I find my self on a website called virustotal.com. It basically scan the file in question just to make sure it's not a false positive, but it detects a "McAfee-GW-Edition" saying "BehavesLike.Win32.Generic.dh". It's just this one but is it dangerous? Should I ignore my antivirus and run the file?
Kubik
By quick internet search I believe your antivirus may be correct. In general case of random file I would recommend removing the file In this case it is easy: do you trust us? Every antivirus that do not detect `Launcher.exe` as potentially dangerous file is bad antivirus. I will shortly tell explain: `Launcher.exe` among other things force game to not connect to (no longer existing) EA's servers, but to our server, to do so it need to do direct memory manipulation that should be detected by antivirus as potentially VERY DANGEROUS, because antivirus is not able to identify if we stealing personal data or redirecting the game to another server, for antivirus these two operations look same (modification of another process memory).
