• NAME: Incorrect avatar displayed after character creation
• SEVERITY: 3
• LOCATION: character screen, forge, probably during missions too.
• REPRODUCIBILITY: Unsure, seems to be common since a large majority of players (roughly 8/10's) that were active at the time I was logged in were also using a default avatar (I have not confirmed if they had chosen it themselves or not). I assume this is caused by creating a character whilst the servers were unstable and players were constantly dc'ed during / after creation.
• DESCRIPTION: The avatar I chose during character creation is not the one being displayed; the default war eagles avatar is being displayed instead.
• SCREENSHOT/VIDEO: Unavailable currently until I manage to log back in.

  Edit by Ladadoos: It seems that somewhere during the (first) login process avatars are being set to the war eagle. While watching the contacts list, I saw someone join for the first time with the character they chose, but once they entered the forge the avatar had reverted back to war eagle.

I can't get inGame again right now to check myself,
but Hawk was searching for users online and ALL had the same icon in the list. Might be the issue of everyone atm?

@Nerevar I don't believe the issue is related to everyone. Not everyone has the same icon, just A LOT of people quickly created their character and didn't choose a specific avatar and since the default is war eagle... I chose for example Construct and got Construct. Maybe there's a specific issue with Ice guardian

 

Now that I think about it, I saw my own icon at the bottom right. It was my picked one. So it wasn't a visual bug for me/for my icon, you're might be right.

Possibly, I didn't ask the other players if that was the case. It's not an important bug and I don't really mind it, just thought I'd bring it up since it I didn't see anyone else mention it. Would like to see if anyone else came across it too.

I chose the tremor and got war eagle. There really are a lot of war eagle players. Hawk and ultra also were war eagles on stream

Do you remember if it ever displayed your avatar properly? Weirdly enough, yesterday I was able to play a mission for a short time and I could've sworn I remembered my avatar was properly displayed (Ice guardian), but when I logged in today shortly it had reverted to war eagle. Didn't want to mention it because I thought it might've just been me misremembering it since it was fairly late.

I only just created my character a few hours ago, and it never displayed the tremor.

Happened to me too right now. It shows me not the Avatar i chose.

Its a minor problem but i had choose werewolf avatar and now i have war eagle

I can confirm that this is infact a bug.

Yesterday I chose an avatar, which is showing up correctly in-game. But as I log in today, my avatar is changed back to War Eagle.

I have the same problem, I chose Timeless One as my avatar, but it shows up as War Eagle.

Just to add. After you delete your config.xml file for the language change, your avatar changes to war eagle.

I have the same Avatar Bug, i choose Timeless One and get War Eagle.

Getting the same issue here - picked Strikers for my profile icon, but stuck with the default War Eagle instead.

Same, I remember picking Magma hurler, as it was avatar back in the days. Got War eagle instead.

bug should be fixed for some time already and we decided to change price of changing avatar to 10 BFP so you can test it

Works for me and have seen other players with a different avatar. 

 

It's already been fixed as I had chosen the purple skelly but had war eagle for a while but recently it changed to the skelly so i'm assuming it's been sorted out so moved to resolved.
