Something animated sounds cool. It could be VERY subtle, but I think something that adds onto everything else, and not just a different option of what we already have - so you can combine your current "Skylord identity" and get a cherry on top for NewGame+.

Just a small animated shine that pops here and there, to see that its a Skylords that went through the "reset account".

OK, since I overdid it with ideas, I am re-posting with better organization, paragraphs, merging some stuff etc. I was challenged by Hirooo to provide some ideas for achievements, so I did. 😉

 

NEW ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Collectors

Achievements for reaching certain levels of card collections. Ideas:

·         Collect all the cards

·         Collect all promos

·         Collect all Upgrades1, all U2, all U3

·         Charge up all the cards

 

Reward:  new symbols added near rank/name on player border. It would show mini symbol of accomplishing goals: collect all cards (common, uncommon, rare, ur, promo) and complete all upgrade 1s, all upgrade 2s and upgrade 3.

I imagine this as just two slots (cards + upgrades) and both be shown "the highest of" - example:

Player Vrizz - Rank 15 PvE / Rank 1 Pvp

 

cards: rares [crown? star? card symbol?] - meaning he has 100% rare cards

upgrades: U1 [crown? star?] - showing he has already managed to get all U1 upgrades available

 

Horrible visualization:

Goal: people who have all the cards and upgrades could be appreciatied with new symbols.

 

  • RPVE 7+

Ideas for achievements for RPVE (names and descriptions). Please treat them as starting point and inspiration, not final idea.

 

"Real siege" - destroy all enemy buildings using deck without ranged units and buildings (only melee + spells)

 

 "You wanted free monument?" - Win a match using only Amii Edition & Rebirth cards.

 

"Total extiction – apocalypse" - Complete rpve difficulty 8 using ONLY one unit (any tier) whole map, without buildings and losing that unit.

 

"Strategy over diversity": Win a map playing each orb of different colour and by taking only 1 unit, 1 building, 1 spell each tier, 3 per color (= 12-card deck).

 

EXAMPLE: A player can take fire t1 and thus 3 first cards will be FIRE. One building (e.g. makeshift), one spell (e.g. mine), one unit (e.g. sunderer). On tier2 they will go shadow, so now only SHADOW t1/t2 cards can be played. Unit: phoenix, buildng: FoF, spell: unholy power. And so on.

 

JuGGLEnaut [meta achievement for all 4 factions] - containing:

Very hard to properly describe: Win a map RPVE 8+ solo playing only ONE unit EACH TIER AND OF THAT TIER. All 4 units must be of different colors. Do not use buildings and do not let any of them die. If a unit dies, achievement fails.

[example: you have tier1 fire, tier2 nature, tier3 frost, tier4 shadow - they cannot repeat]

You can spawn only 1 unit each tier and of that tier, so u spawn tier1 Nomad. After claiming tier2 nature, you spawn tier2 nature unit (cannot spawn another nomad), Tier3 - you spawn silverwind lancers. Tier4 - you spawn necrofury.

Neither of the 4 spawned units can die in any moment of the game. You cannot defend with buildings, so this is magic-heavy run.

[This is meta achievement coz you have to complete all combinations: that your FIRE orb is tier1 in one match, tier2 in another, tier3 in another, tier 4 in another, so we have 4 combinations]

  • COMMUNITY MAPS ACHIEVEMENTS

Achievements related to community maps - those featured and "approved" were awesome fun, something fresh and I consider them absolutely well designed. It would be fun to have something that makes people play them more often and regularly.

 

Achievements for those community maps can be something very simple e.g. play specific color combo, do not use air/buildings/spells/whatever, finish map in XX time.

  • "Educational" achievements (or quests)

An idea to have incense for players to learn combos in a educate-by-reward manner.

 

Ideas:

- use 4 eruptions to kill one spawn building within 6 seconds

- destroy the spawn before decoration building (with tip how they differ)

- get near-building effect (e.g. homesoil, Swift)

- use Embalmer + FoF + Cultist effect

- use Roots + Mine AND Hurricane + Mine

- use Yellow Incredible Mo on Lost Souls map (with tooltip: it's necessary with ranged units and Lost Dragons)

- ... any other thing that forces a new player to play specific combo and see effects from it without making Battleforge university degree - just step by step.

  • CARD SPECIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS

Would be nice to have card-specific achievements to complete. Similar quests like achievements in many games on Steam - just „use something in many ways” so a player can get new challenges after getting a new card, thus increasing fun and reward from obtaining a card.

 

e.g. Deepcoil Worm - 4 quests

1) Trample 100 units

2) Let other units use deepcoil tunnel 50 times

3) Use his attack to kill 3 units at once - 20 times

4) "Kill Infected Wrathgazer on encounters with Twilight adv/expert with Deepcoil Worm spit (killing blow).

And so on.

Also: adding a new possibility to filter quests/achievements from specific cards.

  • CAMPAIGN MAP ACHIEVEMENTS

My sack of ideas - difficulty varies (some are quite simple, they are not supposed to be "drop your pants" expert mode).

 

Encounters with twilight

"Noone is bigger than Rogan": complete the map using units that are only M size and up to tier 2 (Buildings and spells can be used).

 

Crusade

"Come at me!" Complete the map without claiming any wall.

 

Insane god

"Insane insane god" - complete the map with every Twilight building destroyed before killing Urzach.

 

Oracle

"Prophecy of bright future": win the map claiming ALL wells and monuments and without losing a single one of them (by destruction, well can deplete).

 

Slavemaster

"Multi-tasking master": win the map without letting any bandit sniper hit your wells or monuments [or any building] a single time.

 

Treasure Fleet

"Escort through the shadows": win the map without losing any wagons and by playing only shadow cards up to tier 2.

 

Mo

"We respect the architects" - Make the bandit flee without destroying a single building - spawn, tower, utility (in the late-game area, not t1/t2). --> [is it possible to complete the map?]

 

Soultree

"Soul%$^!!!" - Twilight curse." - destroy all twilight spawns before killing the Grinder boss.

Name: As clean as can be

Description: Win a random battleground on standard difficulty without receiving a single point of damage.

(Alternative: BG on standard AND a single-player map on standard, but I couldn't think of a good one except Encounters and Soultree, and those have been used so often in achievements already.)
