I realised we have never had a 2v2 Tome event ... LET'S FIX THAT!

What is Tome?

Tome was a PvP game mode in the original BattleForge where players had to build their decks with cards from boosters.
Aka: Random cards. It often happens that you can’t play the way you like because you are missing cards, and sometimes, this leads to the birth of new strategies.

Special Rules

1. All players will have 8 general boosters + 2 Wild boosters (you can choose if you want to take a faction booster, for example)
          

2. All Ultra Rare Cards  drawn from a booster will be publicly visible, as well as the player's name on how it was drawn.

3. All Rare Cards  drawn from a booster will be publicly visible, without the player's name.

Organization

For easier management of boosters, we will use my website: https://tome.t1421.de

On this website, players can open their boosters, see the progress of opened boosters of all players and potential reforge.
There is also a filter code that can be added to your "custom_filter_extensions.json" for easier deck-building in the game.
As well as a deck checking function, with the Export-Deck function.

At this point, the page has received various updates, but generally, the logic stayed the same.

Of course you're allowed to share your Booster link with your teammate so you can easily strategise what to play.
But obviously you're still restricted to play the cards from your card pool!

Sign up

To join, you will need Discord. All Players will be on one Discord server for easier communication.
Ideally, you join as a 2 Player Team. But if you want to play but haven't found a teammate, message me or leave a post in this thread. I'm sure we'll find you one 🙂

Format

Round Robin:
Every Team will play against every other team once. If we have an uneven number of teams, one will have a break while the others fight.

Best of 3:
To win your encounter, you need to win 2 out of 3 matches to claim the victory.

PvP Rules

1. The tournament will be held on the Test Server! Because you have all the cards there.
   Make sure to log in once before the event, so you don't have to wait for the updater to download when it's time to play.
2. Disconnecting during a game will result in a default loss. If both sides agree, it's possible to have a rematch.
3. Not showing up to your match after 15 minutes results in a default loss. The plan is to play a round of matches every ~30 minutes.
4. After your match, go to Challenge and insert the result. This is done by clicking on your match and selecting the winner/stats.
   The upcoming matches and ranking will be updated automatically. Only one of the 4 players needs to do that.
5. The Map Pool is: Danduil, Fyre, Gorgash, Yshia, Nadai, Turan, Zahadune, Koshan.
6. The first map match against your first opponent will be Danduil; after that, it's the loser's choice.
7. Against the second opponent, you start with Fyre. Third: Gorgash, etc. (I will make notes in Challonge)
8. First deck lock-in is decided by a coin flip (/roll 1). After that, the winner of the last match needs to lock in first.
9. You can only win prizes if you play your matches during the event.
10. Have fun and don’t be an idiot!

Players can start opening boosters at    20.09.2026 15:40 CEST.

The event starts on                                 20.09.2026 16:00 CEST.

In the past, one set of matches took around 45 min. 
So you can expect the event to run for [Amount of teams] - 1 x 45 min (+ some breaks)
For 6 teams, that would mean around 4h.

Prizes

1st place: 5 Boosters		+ Juggernaut (Promo)
2nd place: 4 Boosters		+ Fallen Skyelf (Promo)
3rd place: 3 Boosters		+ Frost Shard
4th place: 2 Boosters		+ Dark Maiden

For every match won, each player on the winning team receives 1 General Booster, while the losers will receive 250 BFP
