Baby Battleship yey!

Oh... it's not... that exciting.

From the first moment I've summoned new card I have realized something is wrong with it.

Landship is not a Frost card.

Frost cards don't look like this in battleforge. It's about it's color scheme, which is deep (typically saturated?) blue and white. Landship has none of those. Ironclad has dark blue, and landship next to it looks almost purple. Brown used for the deck unseen in any of frost cards, with maybe exception for Dreadnought's shoes or Promo Construct. And certainly not used as a dominant color. What the dark brown also does it makes the unit way too dark. It's bright units faction.

Now for the esthetics. No icycles, blocks of ice, not to mention frost's theme to avoid using wood wherever possible and prefers marble everywhere. The model is plain and does not feel like fantasy.

Overall it feels out of place and not exciting at all.

I see what do you mean. I wonder if we could add some ice cristal or something to it just for esthetic. However, the rest to me looks fine. I admit that I am not as fan of Frost as you thought. ^^"

Indeed as I'm sure you can tell by the sounds and graphics, we ran out of time with this one. Being the first entirely new model, this was a learning exercise more than anything, probably the most complicated model I can think of to start with in hindsight with the turret and wheel parts, initially the side parts were even going to fall off with damage. It will be receiving a touch-up in the future. Soon™

That said, deep browns do indeed get used in frost elements. While I agree that it is a bit dark, it's something that will be fixed by way it interacts with light (roughness, metals, etc.), rather than the color. The color intention is to add more color to your army than just white and blue which is mainly what T1 brings, but also it is a smaller, cheaper model than the large stone airships and belongs more to the engineering part of the faction, seen below.

I get your point, but I think with a few touchups it could fit. It does seem a little "unfinished/unpoliahed" of sorts, but I have no clue about 3d modeling/texturing and I could imagine it taking lots of work to fully polish a 3d model/texture to the standard OG BattleForge models like Battleship.

My only point about the landship design I want to make is that the animations were clearly designed up close and from that PoV they look nice but the game is played from afar, speeding up the animations or exaggerating them more would drastically improve the look and feel

I've been very wrong about this.

I am sorry for jumping to stupid conclusions.
