Chrizzlyber
Hi I'm trying to play rPVE, but even at difficulty 2 there is no chance for me getting through. From the beginning on the enemy is spamming hordes over hordes at me. I try to make one of his bases after the other and focus on the spawning-buildings first. I try to use an Abomination Deck like I have seen in many videos or entries that should be able to beat even difficulty 9, but i always have multiple paths and no matter which one I go, my base gets attacked with shaman+one or two archers+one or two spearmen+one or two big fighters about every minute. Does anyone have helpful hints how to get through this?
RadicalX
Hey, the issue you are mentioning is somewhat common for standard maps due to the layout being a little bit unintuitive. Understanding how pathing on these maps work will make your progression much easier. There are pretty much two things you need to know: 1) rPvE camp strength scales across rows. Moving sideways will lead you to weaker camps than moving directly away from your starting base. 2) Attacking a unit of a camp that isn't part of its attacking wave will activate wave spawns from all adjacent camps as long as they do possess a spawn building. The screenshots below showcase the problem which might occur. By moving away from your base in a straight line you will not only face a stronger camp early on, but also activate additional continous wave spawns. If you however turn sideways after clearing the first camp, you will fight a weaker camp, get less waves overall and unlock your T2 orb position on top of it. Chrizzlyber
Tried it out today and worked very well until the fourth sphere ... but after that even my abominations got sliced like butter by the remaining bases crews, no matter what spells I cast. Cocofang
Regrowth, Twilight Pestilence Blue, Unity Blue. Use these defensive spells. Don't spawn more than 4 Abominations at once so you have enough power left over for these spells. Also use the Twilight transformation to get your Abominations, which saves you power. But also remember that it doesn't matter how durable your army is if nothing dies. So use Cluster Explosion Red. Also have Shrine of War running to immediately get your power back.
