I havent tried pvp yet at all, but when I want to go play PVE and choose the 4player map how do I get people to join? 🙂 Also a totally different topic, is there an option to take the game mainstreem in the future at all or no due to EA previously owning it? I came back after playing back when I was a kid. I love pvp games and I feel like this game has soooo much potential especially for a good esport scene. Additionally you can use the /lfg channel to advertise your lobby. It is good practice to include any challenges/achievements you are going for in the lobby description or LFG message (also include difficulty there). So while it is possible for the PvP scene to grow it is highly unlikely it would grow to such an extent. What you can do is tell your friends or any social media following you might have about the game and what makes it special for you.
