I'm beyond excited to organize this new TOME Tournament with one of the biggest Skylords Reborn additions: Reforging!

All you need to know

What is Tome?

Tome was a PvP game mode in the original BattleForge where players had to build their decks with cards from boosters.
Aka: Random cards. It often happens that you can’t play the way you like because you are missing cards, and sometimes, this leads to the birth of new strategies.

Special Rule

1. All players will have 8 general boosters + 2 Wild boosters (you can choose if you want to take a faction booster for example)
   

2. If you advance to Stage 2 (Top 4 of Swiss) you will get 2 more general + 2 more Wild boosters

3. All players can Reforge Cards
Just select 4 cards you don't see a need and press the reforge button, to receive a new one.
Keep in mind you can´t use cards which have been reforged!

 Organization

For easier management of boosters, we will use my website: https://tome.t1421.de

On this website, players can open their boosters, see the progress of opened boosters of all players and reforge if they want.
There is also a filter code that can be added to your "custom_filter_extensions.json" for easier deck-building in the game.
As well as a newly added deck checking function, with the Export-Deck function.

To join, you will need Discord. All Players will be on one Discord server for easier communication.
After you read the post and you are ready to join, contact me 😊
(if you are in the Twitch chat + online before the event starts, you may can join without Discord)

Format

Stage 1 is 4 Rounds of Swiss, which means you will play 4 matches, regardless of whether you win or lose.
Stage 2 is a Single elimination for the Top 4 players from Stage 1. We also play the match to decide the 3rd place.
All matches will be Best of 3, which means you play against your opponent until one of you gets 2 wins.
The pairings will be shuffled before the start of the tournament.

Rules

1. The tournament will be held on the Test Server! Because you have all the cards there.
2. Disconnecting during a game will result in a default loss. If both sides agree, it is possible to have a rematch.
3. Not showing up to your match after 15 minutes results in a default loss. The plan is to play a round of matches every ~30 minutes.
4. After your match, go to Challonge and insert the result. This can be done by clicking on your match and selecting the winner/stats.
    The brackets/match list will be updated automatically after all players have finished their matches.
5. The Map Pool is: Taros, Haladur, Simai, Elyon, Lajesh, Uro and Yrmia.
6. The map of round one will be Taros. Against the second opponent you will play on Haladur, third Simai, etc. (I will make notes in Challonge)
7. You can only win prizes if you play your matches during the event.
8. Have fun and don’t be an idiot!

Every player playing all 4 Swiss matches receives 1 Nature Booster

 

For every match you win in the Swiss Phase, you receive 500 BFP

SR would not be what it is today without Reforging. I'm super excited if this feature will result in cooler TOME matches,
or if in the and all will end up with normal Meta Decks 🙂

Reforging logic

The reforging on my website is not the same as in-game (way too complex xD)

There are only rules to Rarity and color. So it doesnt matter if you reforge 4x Units, or 4x Tier 1 Cards.

RARITY:

Example, If you reforge 4x Common cards - Your chance to get a common is 40% | Uncommon 45% | Rare 14% | Ultra Rare 1%

All cards have the same wight, so if you mix with 1x C + 1x UC + 1x R + 1x UR
The result would be C = 12% | UC = 25% | R = 25% | UR = 38%

COLOUR:

The logic for the colour is the same as for the rarity, just the combinations are a bit more. In short: 

If you Reforge 4 of the same pure colour,
- you have a 75% chance to get the same colour again,
- 3x 6% a matching hybrid card
- 7x 1% a off colour card

If you Reforge 4 of the same hybrid coloured cards,
- you have a 75% chance to get the same hybrid colour again,
- 2x 8% a matching mono colour faction
- 7x 1% a off colour card
- 1x 2% a colourless 

If you Reforge 4 colourless cards,
- 50% to get a new colorless one
- 10x 5% to get any other colour
