  1. Hello fellow skylords! I often see people hating on pure decks for the expert maps, with this post I wanna share my love for fire Soon I will upload at least one replay for every expert map with pure fire, some solo and some duo versions. This replays contain casual gameplay, no optimized runs so there will be some fails, please dont hate me Special thanks to Keksmonsta and Kendrikson who will be my mates in most of the duo runs. Have fun with the replays, Anske Edit: 1 and 2 player maps are completed! 1-Player-Maps: 2-Player-Maps: 4-Player-Maps:
  2. Fellow Skylords and Cute Beings, As second person to ever complete “Among the Old Gods” achievement in Battleforge, I started using title “The Old God of Battleships”. As we learn from King of the World himself, best way of starting a cult is being friendly and helpful. Therefore I wish you will enjoy this read, aimed at providing you with both comprehensive and powerful knowledge. Introduction The thread is aimed at players who struggle with Among the Old Gods. In order to complete the achievement, you have to win all campaign missions on expert difficulty. You will be rewarded generously in 8 General Boosters. Many maps have different exploits and tricks that may make the map trivial – however, as they feel unfair, require particular cards and may be removed by developers, they are not covered here. Deck choice usually is irrelevant when it comes to expert difficulty. The important aspect is to specialise your deck for each map, and prepare it for particular threats you may encounter. On my first playthrough I have completed the campaign with Pure Frost deck, as it is my favourite faction. It was before first balance patch, so back then all factions were weaker and had lower amount of viable cards. Pure Fire still may struggle with the achievement, nonetheless, overall you should be able to finish the campaign with your favourite PvE faction. There is no need to sacrifice fun for playing meta, as there is no “the only correct way” – the only limits are in your head. Approach is important Expert is not meant to be easy. Try, lose, improve. This is how humans become better – by making mistakes and learning from them. Thanks to the guide, you can learn on my mistakes and significantly decrease amount of necessary tries to complete the achievement. Pay attention to which enemies you will face, what is their position, weak points and how to exploit the situation. Check map topography to quickly reach Power Wells and intercept enemy attacks. Learn attack timings and understand triggers. [1] Be prepared and do not leave anything to a chance. You will come across problems – enemy attack too strong to deal with, restricted access to cards or monuments, mechanics that doesn’t work like you expected. [1]. Trigger is a condition that starts a particular event. For example in Behind Enemy Lines if you destroy any of spawners that are nearby your Tier 2 locations, enemy waves will become significantly stronger and use specialised units. Keeping spawners alive allows you to explore the map and prepare defence in a more relieved way. Explore. Adapt. Overcome. There are many cards in Battleforge that are neglected and overlooked, as they are not as flexible as the most popular choices. If someone told me I would be using Icefang Raptor to complete Ocean, or pre-rework Sunken Temple to win Soultree with Pure Nature, I would laugh, as those cards seemed worthless to me. I was wrong, niche cards are awesome in niche situations. When you will start looking for solutions, you will notice those little gems in your collection. If you are looking for something cheap and solid, you may want to check @Weak1ings ‘s deck, as he was the first person to complete Among the Old Gods, he used an affordable flexible meta deck. Weak1ings' deck: Make sure to use what you already have to forge your path to victory, possibly in an unique way. Amii Monument may make many missions easier – however, it is easy to get lazy because of it, and majority of maps are difficult due to situations that happen before you reach Tier 3. 3. Hi Guys, I played a few rounds of Blight the last couple of weeks and i wanted to at least start this guide while some of my replays are still watchable. Since I'm stupid I forgot to safe half the replays I played so far, but this guide will be updated by me whenever I produce a decent replay I'd like to share. So for a start I recommand the Blight-Tutorial done by Dallarian (thank you sir!) here which has some theoretical explanation and graphics which i would have been way too lazy to do myself. For further ado, heres the Blight-Tutorial by Treim/Wanky/Pritstift/Lebovin (insert Link here x) which has a good amount of general information aswell and even shows some shadow phoenix tactics + the infamous Batariel-rush at bottom left position. All replays I upload here show complete clears in time, no defending and no shinanigans with phoenix or amii-monument. Sometimes (as pointed out by Anske) I use a splash on t3 for "pure" decks, since I'm missing those super expensive xl units like Juggernaut/Spitfire in fire. When I get those cards at some time I'll maybe update those replays (but i recommand splitting on t3 anyway, since pure fire is BAD, here, I said it.) Feel free to contribute replays I did not cover so far So here are the replays: Disclaimer: some of the replays are not functionable anymore, but you can restore them following guides spread among the forums, this is what i found fastest: Top right position (pos 1): TopRightStonekin.pmvTopRightShadowNature.pmvTopRightPureShadow.pmvTopRightPureFire.pmvTopRightFrostT1.pmvTopRightBandits.pmvTopRightFireFrost.pmvTopRightNatureFire.pmvTopRightShadowFrost.pmv Top left position (pos 2): TopLeftShadowNature.pmvTopLeftPureFrost.pmvTopLeftFireNature.pmvTopLeftPureShadow.pmvTopLeftPureFire.pmvTopLeftNatureFrost.pmv Bot right position (pos 3): BotRightPureFire.pmv Bot left position (pos 4): BotLeftShadowT1.pmv btw, special thanks to Donaar, Irysunna, gam3over, Schlytz, Alexandra, ArthurKnight, saffo5, VegetaSSB and those 20 guys I forgot who played a ton of blight with me and nearly did not flame when i failed with pure frost again. Duo (each side solo) BlightDuo18'15'7.pmv my english bad blablabla ign: Keksmonsta Pipeline aka. whats coming next? Bandits topleft is done, im kinda struggling with the 3rd camp there, but as soon as i got a replay where i don't look like a retard, it will be here! After those are done, I might focus on botright a little more, will share first camp with all T1's soon, thinking about all positions-no-manawing too. cya TopLeftStonekin.pmv
  4. Hey Everyone, I wanted to share with you my Ocean Expert replay with 3 Shadow and 1 Ice Orb. Cards used: Forsaken, SoulSplicer orange, Dark Elf Assasins, Lost Launcher, Juice Tank, Resource Booster, Furnace of Flesh, Coldsnap, Amii Monument, Frenetic Assault, Infect, Soulshatter, Overlord, Grim Bahir orange and Deathray. All cards are upgraded. The units are charged to the full, Infect has 1 charge cause it's super-expensive and the buildings are not fully charged. I had to use Nether Warp once, cause an Overlord got stuck when I spawned it and I spawned one unit of Rifle Cultists cause I thought that I kept my Offering in the deck but it wasn's there so I ended up killing the Rifle Cultists... I made some mistakes during the gameplay, but I just started to do the expert campaigns and this was the hardest so far. Let me know what do you think and enjoy the replay.
