I am useing a well rather simple, yet hard way to do it.. 

I started with drawing it in a program called autocad.

Then i printed it out and begang to cut out the holes in the paper with a knife.

Then i take a metal sheet ( 3mm thick) and layed the paper over, and began to draw it up with a pen. 

I take a hand plasma cutter and began to cut it out. 

To make a finishing touch i took some sand paper and maked the egdes round and smooth. 

And sorry, whats a vector image? never heard of it b4. 

Very nice! . Yeah I don't think using that method a vector image will be much use to you. A vector image basically doesn't store the colors but rather it stores the raw shapes that make up the image. So you can easily convert this to coordinates for usage in CNC or something.

Oh yeah! well the lanes that i draw on it, is in a program called autocad.. from there you can just use it for at cnc plasma cutter machince, so it does it automatic.
